Definitions
- the invention relates to a rod filter for fuel injection valves according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a rod filter is for example by the DE 103 07 529 A1 known.
- the known rod filter has a filter body which is inserted into an inlet channel of a nozzle body of a fuel injection valve and fixed in the axial direction by a diameter constriction of the inlet channel and a securing element.
- the diameter of the filter body is smaller than the diameter of the inlet channel, so that the fuel must flow through the resulting gap.
- the difference of the outer diameter in a region of the filter body and the diameter of the inlet channel determine the width of the gap through which the fuel must flow, with particles that are larger than this gap width remain in longitudinal grooves of the filter body and do not get into the fuel injection valve.
- the rod filter according to the invention with the features of claim 1 and the fuel injection valve according to the invention with the features of claim 11 have the advantage that the particles are supplied to the dicing area, wherein due to the reduced gap width, which dictates the flow cross-section in the dicing, the dewatering effect in the ditching is improved.
- the dicing region may adjoin the first section directly or may be arranged slightly spaced from the first section.
- the main body of the rod filter has on its surface one or more dicing areas.
- the surface of the base body is structured at least in the dicing area.
- Such structuring may be produced by knurling, indentations, impressions or otherwise.
- a plurality of dicing edges is provided in the dicing area, which are formed for example on a plurality of pyramidal elevations.
- the cross section of the main body in the dicing area increases in the flow direction. This will initially be relatively large particles divided and with decreasing flow cross-section, which is due to the enlargement of the cross section of the body in the flow direction, a further division of particles is made possible.
- the base body is designed ellipsoidal, whereby the particle reduction is further improved.
- the dicing region is preferably provided in a middle region of the base body, in which the base body has a relatively large cross section, so that the gap remaining with respect to a fuel inlet channel is relatively small.
- At least one fastening device connected to the main body is advantageously provided, which has mutually twisted fastening webs.
- a fastening device may have three fixing webs which are offset by 120 ° relative to one another.
- the rod filter is particularly suitable for filtering fuel that is passed under high pressure through a fuel line.
- a pressure pulse which is generated, for example, by the opening and closing of a fuel injection valve or by a pressure generating device provided on the fuel line, preferably an elastic deformation of the base body and / or an elastic deformation of the fuel line is effected, so that in the region of the dicing region of the rod filter between the main body and the fuel line existing flow cross section is varied. This results in an advantageous chopping of the particles entrained in the fuel.
- Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of a rod filter 1 of the invention, which is arranged in a fuel inlet channel 2 of a partially shown fuel inlet nozzle 3 of a fuel injection valve.
- the rod filter 1 is used in particular for injectors of fuel injection systems of air-compressing, self-igniting internal combustion engines, in which a fuel under high pressure is filtered through the rod filter 1.
- a preferred use of the rod filter 1 is for a fuel injection system with a common rail, the diesel fuel under high pressure leads to multiple fuel injectors.
- the rod filter 1 according to the invention and the fuel injection valve according to the invention are also suitable for other applications.
- the rod filter 1 has a base body 4, which is configured as an ellipsoidal base body 4. Furthermore, the bar filter 1 has a first fastening device 5 and a second fastening device 6, wherein the first fastening device 5 comprises three fixing webs 7, 8 offset by 120 ° to one another and the second fastening device 6 comprises three fastening rods 9, 10 arranged offset from one another by 120 ° , With respect to a flow direction 11 of a fuel flow, the fastening rods 7, 8 of the first fastening device 5 are rotated by 60 ° relative to the fastening rods 9, 10 of the second fastening device 6, resulting in an advantageous influencing of the fuel flow.
- the main body 4 of the rod filter 1 has a dicing region 13 on a surface 12.
- the dicing region 13 has the shape of a strip with the width B, wherein the dicing region 13 is provided in a middle region of the base body 4, in which a distance A between the fuel inlet channel 2 and the surface 12 of the base body 4 is relatively small.
- the distance A defines an annular gap which defines a minimum flow cross-section for the fuel flow flowing in the flow direction 11. Due to the ellipsoidal shape of the base body 4 is the Fuel flow led to the dicing area 13 and accelerated to the dicing area 13 out.
- the fuel flow is usually not continuous, but is pulsed with the opening and closing of the fuel injector.
- a periodic pressure build-up can take place on the side of the common rail or a high pressure can be present continuously, which leads to pressure pulsations via the switching of the fuel injection valve.
- the pressure pulsations of the fuel result in an elastic deformation of the fuel inlet nozzle 3 and / or of the main body 4 of the rod filter 1, so that the distance A varies with the pressure pulsations.
- Particles contained in the fuel, which are supplied to the dicing area 13, are thereby divided into the dicing area 13.
- the surface 12 of the base body 4 at least in the dicing region 13 a pyramidal structure, based on the Fig. 3 is described in detail. In the in Fig. 1 illustrated embodiment, the pyramidal structure over the entire surface 12 of the base body 4 is executed.
- Fig. 1 Traces 14, 15, 16 represented by the particles contained in the fuel, which are chopped in the dicing region 13 between the surface 12 and the fuel inlet channel 2.
- Fig. 2 shows a rod filter 1, which is arranged in a fuel inlet channel 2 of a fuel inlet nozzle 3 of a fuel injection valve, according to a second embodiment of the invention.
- the base body 4 has a first End piece 21, a second end piece 22 and an intermediate piece 23 which connects the first end piece 21 with the second end piece 22.
- the end pieces 21, 22 are each ellipsoid Halb Eisenörmig configured so that they each form half of an ellipsoidal body.
- the intermediate piece 23 is cylindrical.
- the dicing area 13 is provided on the surface 12 of the intermediate piece 23 of the main body 4, the surface 12 being substantially smooth on the end pieces 21, 22.
- the pyramidal structure in the dicing region 13 can be configured, for example, by a plurality of indentations, the indentations being formed, for example, by V-shaped grooves of a thickness in which a multiplicity of points are formed, as is apparent from FIGS Fig. 3 is shown in more detail.
- the indentations may be provided at an angle of 45 ° to the surface 12 of the main body 4.
- Fig. 3 shows a partial section along the in Fig. 1 with III designated cutting line in a viewing direction, the opposite to the flow direction 11 is.
- the fastening web 7 of the first fastening device 5 bears against the fuel inlet channel 2 of the fuel inlet nozzle 3.
- the remaining fastening webs of the fastening devices 5, 6 abut against the fuel inlet channel 2 of the fuel inlet nozzle 3.
- the fastening devices 5, 6 can be pressed in the fuel inlet 3, in order to allow a reliable attachment of the rod filter 1 in the fuel inlet 3.
- the main body 4 has a pyramidal structure which comprises a large number of pyramidal elevations 24 to 32.
- a tip 33 of the elevation 24 has a distance A from the fuel inlet channel 2. Due to the oidförmigen design of the base body 4, a distance A 'a tip 34 of the pyramidal elevation 29 is greater than the distance A. Since the particles transported by the fuel first reach the pyramidal elevation 34, a further division of initially relatively large particles is possible. The division of the particles takes place essentially by means of edges 35, 36 of the pyramidal elevation 24 and further (in the Fig. 3 not designated) edges of the elevations 25 to 32.
- a division of the passing past the edges 35, 36 particles is already possible because of the mediated by the pulsed fuel flow jerky movement of the particles.
- an elastic configuration of the base body 4 and / or an elastic configuration of the fuel inlet nozzle 3 is possible, which allows a variation of the distance A and the distance A with respect to the pressure pulsations of the fuel. This can specifically chop up the particles be achieved.
- the geometry and the number of pyramidal elevations 24 to 32 in the Fig. 3 to simplify the explanation of the invention. Specifically, a significantly larger number of juxtaposed pyramidal elevations 24 to 27 and juxtaposed pyramidal elevations 28 to 32 may be provided.
- the elevations 24 to 32 may also have a different configuration, in particular a truncated pyramidal configuration is possible.
- the structuring of the dicing region 13 is possible by cutting or non-cutting methods, in particular by embossing.

Description
Fig. 3 im Detail beschrieben ist.
Fig. 3 nicht bezeichneter) Kanten der Erhebungen 25 bis 32.
