Abstract

A manual slicer of the flywheel type, in which all the mechanical organs are integrated inside the base (10), also with particularly limited encumbrances in height and width; thanks to a particular configuration of the trolley (18), the transmission system, comprising a chain (21) which entrains the salami-holder trolley (17), interposed between two sliding axes (19, 27), allows the maximum reduction of the encumbrances in width and also guarantees an excellent smoothness of the entrainment system.
The chain (21) suitable for entraining the trolley (18) is situated in a vertical position and is moved, together with the circular blade (14) of the slicer, by a single conical torque (24, 25) opposite the working position of the operator.

Description

  • The present invention relates, in general, to a manual slicer of the flywheel type, suitable for being used for any type of salami.
  • The machine in question can be of the domestic or professional type, useful for the demands of kitchens, hotels, restaurants, guest-houses and communities in general.
  • Numerous varieties of slicers are currently available, both domestic and industrial, manual and automatic, which use a circular blade, against which salami is moved to be reduced to slices.
  • With time, these machines have become more versatile and reliable, especially with respect to the possibility of treating any kind of product.
  • Most of the components used in traditional slicers, however, do not have an optimum functionality.
  • In the case of manual slicers, for example, these machines are generally cumbersome and difficult to clean as most of the mechanical movement transmission organs are situates outside the machine.
  • The sliding axes, which tend to become dirty and consequently make sliding and movement transmission difficult, are in fact situated outside the machine; furthermore, the positioning of the activation mechanism of the connecting rod-handle type, outside the machine is not only an evident source of danger but it also makes the cleaning of the components themselves difficult.
  • A general objective of the present invention is therefore to solve the drawbacks mentioned above and, in particular, to provide a manual slicer of the flywheel type, which can be easily cleaned.
  • A further objective of the present invention is to provide a manual slicer of the flywheel type, which allows encumbrances in height and width to be particularly limited.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to provide a manual slicer of the flywheel type, which is particularly effective, comfortable, safe, easy and practical to use, with respect to the manual slicers of the traditional type.
  • These and other objectives are achieved by a manual slicer of the flywheel type, according to claim 1 enclosed.
  • Further technical characteristics of the slicer, according to the invention, are indicated in the other enclosed dependent claims.
  • The structural and functional characteristics of the present invention and its advantages with respect to the known art will appear more evident from the following description, referring to the enclosed drawings, in which:
    • figure 1 shows a partial perspective view of a manual slicer of the flywheel type, according to the present invention;
    • figure 1A shows an enlarged view of a detail of figure 1;
    • figure 2 is a first axonometric view from below of the manual slicer of the flywheel type, as per figure 1, according to the invention;
    • figure 3 is a second axonometric view from below of the manual slicer of the flywheel type, as per figure 1, according to the invention;
    • figure 4 is a plan view from below of the manual slicer of the flywheel type, as per figure 1, according to the invention.
  • With reference to the above figures, the manual rotational slicer, of the flywheel type, according to the invention, comprises a base 10, mechanically connected to an activating device, situated in correspondence with the working position of the operator and consisting of a flywheel, with the handle 11 activated by the operator and suitable for moving constrained to the flywheel 12.
  • A shaped support 13 is also assembled on the base 10, surmounted by a sharpening element 15, which has a circular blade 14 for the slicing of salami.
  • At the side of the base 10 an easily removable flat, extended support 16 is also fixed, which can be used for the orderly arrangement of the slices cut by the circular blade 14.
  • A particular configuration of a trolley 17 is also used, suitable for positioning the block and entraining the salami, backwards and forwards, towards the circular blade 14 and vice versa; the trolley 17 is fixed, below the base 10, to a constraining plate 18, mechanically connected in turn to the movement chain 21, situated inside the base 10 and cooperating with a transmission and/or sliding shaft 19.
  • In particular, according to the invention, all the mechanical organs of the slicer are integrated inside the base 10, in order to limit the encumbrance of the structure to the maximum, both in height and width.
  • First of all, the activating mechanism comprising the handle 11, available to the operator, includes a bar 20 directly connected to the conical torque-chain mechanism, situated inside the base 10, in order to protect them from dirt, scraps and liquid food leaking from the salami being cut.
  • Furthermore, thanks to the particular conformation of the trolley 17, its transmission system is interposed between the sliding axes 19, 27, allowing the encumbrances in width to be reduced to the minimum and also guaranteeing an excellent smoothness of the trolley itself 17.
  • The transmission system of the trolley 17 comprises a chain 21 which interlocks between a toothed pipe crown 28, constrained to a fixed support 22, and a toothed crown 23, moved by a conical torque, formed by the toothed wheel 24 (directly applied to the transmission shaft 20) and the conical wheel 25, coupled with the transversal shaft 26, in turn engaged on the toothed wheel 23.
  • The chain 21 entrains the salami-holder trolley 17 by means of the protruding pin B inserted in the hollow plate A constrained to the plate 18.
  • As can be clearly seen in the enclosed figures, the chain 21 is in a vertical position and is moved, together with the circular blade 14, by a single conical torque, consisting of toothed wheels 24, 25 and positioned opposite the working position of the operator; in fact, as shown in particular in figure 1, the transversal shaft 26, on which the conical torque 24, 25 is engaged, rests, on one side, on the toothed crown 23 of the entrainment chain 21 of the trolley 18, and, on the other, on the toothed pinion 29, which interlocks on the entrainment chain 30 of the circular blade 14.
  • This constructive solution also allows the transmission of the movement both to the circular blade 14 and trolley 18, without using further reduction systems, thus eliminating friction which could uselessly tire the operator during the activation operation of the handle 11.
  • The characteristics of the manual slicer of the flywheel type, which is object of the present invention, are evident from the above description, as are also the advantages.
  • Numerous other variations however can obviously be applied to the manual slicer in question, all included in the novelty principles inherent in the inventive idea. It is also evident that in the practical embodiment of the invention, the materials, forms and dimensions of the details illustrated can vary according to demands and can be substituted with other equivalent technical elements.
