They have constant cross section over their height. Its cross-section is essentially in the form of a half oblong oval. More precisely, the cross-section is bounded by a semicircle 34, the center 36 of which lies on a radial 38. The semicircle 34 has a vertex 40 which lies on the radial 38 and the axis of rotation 32 is closer than the remaining points of the semicircle 34. The semicircle 34 has bow ends, where the semicircle stops. At each end of the arc, the semicircle is continued tangentially by a side line 44, 46, the two side lines run parallel to each other, they also extend parallel to the radial 38. The semicircle 34 and the two side lines 44, 46 form part of a said oval. Radially outwardly, the cross section of each pin is bounded by a termination line 48. It connects the side lines 44, 46 at their outer end points and extends concentrically to a jacket 50 of the cylindrical base body 22, it extends slightly inwardly offset to the jacket, it has almost the same diameter as the jacket 50. The centers 36 of the three pins 28th are located on a circular arc 52 about the axis of rotation 32, actually the point at which the axis of rotation 32 pierces the base surface 26 and also in the corresponding, higher cross-sectional planes.

Claims (9)

  1. A coded adjustable spanner for a theft-proof wheel rim of a motor vehicle which comprises a coded screw (54) retaining a protective cover on said wheel rim, said adjustable spanner for this coded screw (54) has
    - an actuation region (20) that comprises in particular a handle,
    - a rotating axis (32) and
    - a plug region (24) that has i) a cylindrical base body (22) which is connected to said actuation region (20) and comprises a base surface (26), ii) at least two pins (28), which project from said base surface (26), parallel to the rotating axis (32) and iii) a central projection (30) that protrudes from the base surface (26), coaxial with the rotating axis (32), and that is
    characterized in that said adjustable spanner is made from one piece of plastic material and that, in a plane perpendicular to the rotating axis (32), the cross section or the pins (28) is limited a) by a semi-circle (34) the center (36) of which lies on a radial (38) through the rotating axis (32) that has an apex (40) that is closer to the rotating axis (32) than the rest of the semi-circle (34), b) by two side lines (44, 46) that adjoin tangentially the arc ends (42) of the semi-circle (34) and extend parallel to the radial (38) and c) by an outer terminating line (48).
  2. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the pins (28) comprise a constant cross section over their height, which is measured parallel to the rotating axis (32).
  3. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the outer terminating line (48) extends concentrically with an outer surface area (50) of the cylindrical base body (22) and that it is preferably slightly offset inward with respect to said outer surface area (50).
  4. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in cairn 1, characterized in that the centers (36) of the semi-circles (34) of the at least two pins (28) lie on an arc of a circle (52) about the rotating axis (32).
  5. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the plug region (24) is made from a plastic material that is reinforced at least 20 %, preferably at least 40 %, with reinforcement threads, such as glass threads, and that the entire adjustable spanner is preferably made from this material.
  6. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the central projection (30) projects freely downward in the direction of the rotating axis (32) slightly further, more specifically at least 1 mm further, than the pins (28), which are all of the same length.
  7. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the plastic material is a polyamide.
  8. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1., characterized in that the length of the pin (28), which is measured in the direction of the radial (38), is greater than the diameter of the semi-circle (34), more specifically at least 25 % greater.
  9. The coded adjustable spanner as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the diameter of the semi-circle (34) is about 20 % the diameter of the outer surface area (50) of the cylindrical base body (26).
