Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a stamp for a timepiece striking mechanism, comprising a planar blade of constant width, one end of which comprises means for fixing it to the frame of the timepiece, the free part of this blade being conformed so that its natural frequency of vibration is in the field of the sound, following a percussion exerted on its edge.
  • the stamps used in such mechanisms are generally made from bent wire which extends around the entire periphery of the timepiece.
  • EP 0 451 335 a stamp in the form of a flat blade, which reduces the clutter height, especially if we have several superimposed stamps.
  • the ringing mechanisms include at least two timbres to have at least two different sounds, to ring the hours, the quarters and in the repetitions minutes, minutes. It is therefore necessary, in order to be able to distinguish these timbres that each of them has a distinct natural frequency.
  • this invention relates to a timbre for a timepiece striking mechanism according to claim 1.
  • the figure 1 only serves to show the arrangement of the stamp 1 on the timepiece with striking mechanism 2. Since this stamp 1 is not specific to a striking mechanism of a particular type, but can be used with Any striking mechanism, it is not necessary to describe this mechanism to enable the skilled person to understand the invention and the benefits thereof.
  • the stamp 1 object of the invention is intended to be vibrated, as usually in this type of mechanism by a hammer 3 maintained in the rest position slightly separated from the stamp 1 by two opposing springs 4 and 5, as illustrated by the figure 1 .
  • the hammer 3 is moved away from its rest position by the conventional lifting mechanism (not shown) actuated by a ratchet toothing of the ring rake driven by the ring gear (not shown), the hammer 3 is spread in a first time of his resting position illustrated by the figure 1 , turning a certain angle in the opposite direction to that of the clockwise, thus arming the spring 5.
  • the spring 5 relaxes by rotating the hammer in the direction clockwise until it hits the edge of the patch 1, after which it is immediately returned to its rest position by the return spring 4 to allow the tone to vibrate freely at its own sound frequency .
  • the stamp 1 object of the invention against which strikes the hammer 3, has a curved blade shape intended to fit substantially the shape of a little less than half of the periphery of the timepiece 2. At one end, this curved blade forms a bend after which the two edges of the blade are straight and are gradually approaching one another to provide a progressively narrower part. Then the edges of the blade abruptly separate from each other at an angle of 180 ° between them, constituting one of the sides of a fastening element 1a isosceles triangle with rounded corners.
  • This fixing element 1a has three openings 1b adjacent to the respective vertices of the triangle ( figure 2 ) to allow fixing by screws 6 ( figure 1 ).
  • the narrower portion of the blade 1 in which its two edges are straight and move towards each other serves to adjust the natural frequency of this blade by adjusting its width, for example to the file and also constitutes the part of the blade.
  • the hammer 3 hits the blade to put it in vibration.
  • the striking direction of the hammer 3 is in the plane of the blade 1, so that the hammer 3 hits against the edge of the blade 1, thereby vibrating the blade 1 in the direction of its section where she is the most rigid.
  • the thickness of this blade in the case where the stamp 1 is intended to equip a wristwatch is of the order of 0.2 mm.
  • the distance between two stamps and between these stamps and the other parts of the striking mechanism is of the same order as the thickness of the blades, it can be seen that the total height of a two-tone ring does not exceed 1 mm, or the same order of magnitude as a single stamp in a conventional striking mechanism.
  • the total height gain achieved by the stamp object of the present invention is therefore of the order 60%.
  • stamp object of this invention we can also mention the simplicity of the agreement of the blade at the desired natural frequency slimming more or less the portion of the blade between the elbow and the fastener 1a.
  • stamp object of this invention we can also mention the simplicity of the agreement of the blade at the desired natural frequency slimming more or less the portion of the blade between the elbow and the fastener 1a.
  • the blade makes it possible to have a timbre much shorter than the wire-shaped stamp which generally makes all the movement of the watch.
