The present invention is characterized by the fact that the outer face of the cap is smooth and its inner face (2) has weakness lines in a radial direction.

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a cap for water dispenser bottles, of those which are incorporated to the bottle when the latter is upwardly located in an inverted position and which couple to the downwardly located water dispenser by means of their rupture due to the pressure exerted by a pin.
  • The present invention is characterized by the fact that the outer face of the cap is smooth and its inner face has weakness lines in a radial direction.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • As is already well known, the systems known as water dispensers comprise a bottle or carafe-like container upwardly arranged in an inverted position, which is provided with a cap which couples with the water dispenser downwardly located.
  • Hitherto, different types of caps are known for this type of water containers. One of these types of caps has a inner grooving through which the cap rupture is caused by a pin of the dispenser which allows the entry of air into the bottle and the exit of water. The grooving is outwardly covered by an adhesive seal which is removed at the time of feeding to bottle to the dispenser.
  • The drawback of this type of cap is that dirt from the outside may accumulate in the grooving which would go into the water upon placing he bottle in the dispenser.
  • The present invention solves the problem of dirt accumulation in the cap by means of the use of a simpler cap which has a smooth outer face, without grooving or weakness lines, preventing dirt accumulation therein.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a cap for water dispenser bottles, of those which are incorporated to the bottle when the latter is upwardly located in an inverted position and which couple to the downwardly located water dispenser by means of their rupture due to the pressure exerted by a pin.
  • The cap of the invention is characterized in that its outer face is smooth, that is, it lacks grooving, weakness lines or any other groove that may retain dirt, its inner face being that which has weakness lines which would favor the coupling of the cap to the dispensing machine.
  • The weakness lines are located in a radial direction, there also being a circular-shaped weakening in the center of the inner face of the cap. Upon placing the bottle in the dispenser the rupture of the weakness lines would take place due to the pressure exerted by a pin that enables the exit of water and the entry of air and thus the normal operation of the water dispenser.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The present specification is complemented with an illustrative figure of the preferred example and never limiting the invention.
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of the smooth outer face of the cap in which the weakness lines located in the inner face appear as dashed lines.

  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a cap for water dispenser bottles, of those which are incorporated to the bottle when the latter is upwardly located in an inverted position and which couple to the downwardly located water dispenser by means of their rupture due to the pressure exerted by a pin.
  • The cap (1) of the invention is characterized in that its outer face is smooth, its inner face (2) being the one that has weakness lines (2) for the rupture by the pressure exerted by a pin during the insertion thereof in the cap. Said weakness lines are located in a radial direction, there also being a circular-shaped weakening (2.2) in the center of the inner face (2) of the cap (1). In the case of the preferred embodiment, the cap would be introduced in the bottle by pressure, that is, it is a seal type cap.
  • The essential nature of this invention is not altered by variations in materials, shape, size and arrangement of the constituent elements, described in a non-limiting manner, the latter being enough for a person skilled in the art to proceed to reproduce it.

Claims (3)

  1. A cap for water dispenser bottles, of those which are incorporated to the bottle when the latter is upwardly located in an inverted position and which couple to the downwardly located water dispenser by means of their rupture due to the pressure exerted by a pin, characterized in that its outer face is smooth and its inner face (2) has weakness lines (2.1).
  2. A cap for water dispenser bottles according to Claim 1, characterized in that the weakness lines (2.1) are in a radial position.
  3. A cap for water dispenser bottles according to Claim 1, characterized in that there is a circular-shaped weakness line (2.2) located in the center of the inner face (2) of the cap (1).
