Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bahnleitelement zur Führung und/oder Umlenkung einer laufenden Papier-, Karton- oder anderen Faserstoffbahn, welches mit Druckgas beaufschlagbar ist und sich im Wesentlichen über die gesamte Breite der Faserstoffbahn (3) erstreckt, aufweisend einen Mantel (2) mit einer der Faserstoffbahn (3) zugeordneten Bahnleitfläche (2a) und wenigstens einer gasdurchlässigen, porösen Schicht, um zwischen der Bahnleitfläche (2a) und der darüber laufenden Faserstoffbahn (3) einen Tragfilm zu bilden.
Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass der Mantel (2) aus einer inneren (4) und einer äußeren Schicht (5) besteht, wobei die äußere Schicht (5) aus dem gasdurchlässigen, porösen Material besteht, welches einen Widerstand gegen das den Mantel (2) durchströmende Druckgas () bildet und wobei die innere Schicht (4) stabilitätsbildend ist und eine Vielzahl an Durchtrittsöffnungen (13) aufweist, die in Verbindung stehen mit wenigstens einer Druckkammer (7) für die Beaufschlagung mit dem Druckgas.
