Ein Transport- und Lagergestell 1 dient dem Transport von länglichen bis zu etwa 6m langen Gegenständen, wie Profilen, Rohren etc. und wird auch als Langgutpalette bezeichnet. Das Transport- und Lagergestell 1 besteht aus mehreren aus Kunststoff hergestellten Trägem 2, die U-förmig ausgebildet sind und einen bodenseitigen Abschnitt 5 sowie zwei nach oben hervorstehende Schenkel 6 aufweisen. Die Träger 2 sind über Profile 3 miteinander verbunden, die die einzelnen Träger 2 in einem vorbestimmten Abstand halten. Zwischen den Trägem 2 sind diagonal gespannte Spannelemente 4 montiert, die fachwerkartig zwischen den Profilen 3 angeordnet sind. Das Transport- und Lagergestell 1 kann aus sieben bis neun Trägem 2 bestehen, die über Profile 3 und Spannelemente 4 miteinander verbunden sind, wobei für eine bessere Übersichtlichkeit nur drei Träger 2 dargestellt sind. Durch die Profile 3 und Spannelemente 4 können durch das Transport- und Lagergestell hohe Kräfte aufgenommen werden, beispielsweise wenn ein Gabelstapler mittig angreift oder ein Kran das Transport- und Lagergestell 1 an hervorstehenden Schenkeln 6 zieht und bewegt, ohne daß eine größere Durchbiegung stattfindet.
