  6. Device according to one of the proceeding claims characterized in that each of said valve ways is connected to said pump (4-n).

    a) exhausting a portion of said sucked-in smoking gas to the environment via a second valve way (P-E) of said multi way valve (5-n);
    b) sucking in fresh air for producing a first gas mixture via a third valve way (F-P);
    c) exhausting a portion of said first gas-mixture to the environment via said second valve way (P-E);
    d) repeating said steps b) and c) until a desired dilution of said sucked-in smoking gas is achieved; and
    e) exhausting said smoking gas having the desired dilution into a chamber (7-n) via a forth valve way (P-C).
  15. Method according to claim 14 characterized in that smoking of said tobacco product as well as sucking in and exhausting said smoking gas and said smoking gas mixtures according to the method a) to e) is performed by one single pump (4-n).
  16. Method according to claim 14 or 15 characterized in that the desired dilution of said sucked in gas is achieved by the exhausted volume of said smoking gas and/or said smoking gas mixture and the sucked in volume of fresh air according to the steps a) to e).
  17. Method according to claim 16 characterized in that the exhausted volumes of a gas and a gas mixture are controlled by the stroke volume and/or the number of strokes of a piston pump.
