- Blanket (14; 29) having a dimensionally stable support plate (21), the ends of which can be fixed to a transfer cylinder (03) and which has a coating (22) fastened on the support plate (21) and forming the lateral surface of the transfer cylinder (03), an indentation (19; 32) being arranged between the ends of the blanket (14; 29), characterized in that the indentation (19) is incorporated as a deformation or thickness reduction into the support plate (21).
