In einer weiteren Ausgestaltung kann als Oberfläche des Presszylinders eine erhöhte, im Umriss konturierte Pressfläche vorgesehen sein, die auf den zu beschichtenden Bereich begrenzt ist. Dafür ist ein ausgeschnittenes Drucktuch, eine Kunststoffdruckform oder ein aufklebbares Andrucksegment geeignet. Dadurch kann der Vorschub der Transferfolie in sehr vorteilhafter Weise auch dann angehalten werden kann, wenn der zu beschichtende Bereich innerhalb des Bildbereiches des Druckbogens liegt.
Eine weitere Verbesserung der Folienausnutzung ergibt sich dadurch, dass die Transferfolie in eine oder mehrere Teilfolienbahnen geringerer Breite aufgeteilt wird.
Außerdem ist in beiden vorgenannten Fällen eine Teilbeschichtung eines Druck-bogens möglich.
In Kombination mit dem vorgenannten Verfahren können so auch unterschiedliche Folienarten nebeneinander eingesetzt werden. Damit wird ermöglicht, dass Oberflächen unterschiedlicher Folienfarbe oder unterschiedlicher Glätte erzeugt werden.
Zur Verbesserung der Glanzwirkung kann die bildgebende Schicht mittels so genannter UV-Unterdruckfarbe aufgebracht werden. Die UV-Unterdruckfarbe wird mittels des Druckwerkes für den Kleber in entsprechender Weise über eine Offsetdruckplatte aufgebracht.
Innerhalb der das Beschichtungswerk aufnehmenden Bogen verarbeitenden Maschine kann das Beschichtungswerk in vorteilhafter Weise an beliebigen Stellen der Maschine platziert werden. Damit wird für den Fall einer Druckmaschine mit mehreren Druckwerken ermöglicht, dass bildgebenden Beschichtungen bzw. Metallisierungsschichten sowohl vor, als auch nach als auch zwischen dem Aufbringen von Druckfarbschichten aufbringbar sind.
In vorteilhafter Weise ist dazu das Beschichtungswerk als Beschichtungsmodul in der Art einer transportablen Einheit ausgebildet.
Vorteilhafterweise ist es auch möglich, mehrere Beschichtungswerke innerhalb einer Bogen verarbeitenden Maschine hintereinander vorzusehen. Damit kann die Aufbringung verschiedener Beschichtungen bzw. Metallisierungsschichten innerhalb eines Sujets nacheinander erfolgen. Es ist auch möglich ein erstes Klebermuster in einem ersten Beschichtungswerk mit einer ersten bildgebenden Beschichtung bzw. Claims (7)
- A method for the transfer of function layers on a substrate film onto print sheets in a device having at least one application unit (1) for coating a print sheet with an adhesive and having a coating unit (2) for transferring a function layer from the substrate film onto the print sheet, wherein the coating unit (2) comprises an impression cylinder (4) and a press cylinder (3), which form a transfer gap (6), and wherein furthermore the substrate film can be guided past the press cylinder (3) in such a manner that with the coated side placed onto the print sheet guided on the impression cylinder (4) and under pressure it is guided through the transfer gap (6) jointly with the print sheet, so that the function layer following the exiting of the print sheet from the transfer gap (6) adhering to the print sheets in the regions provided with adhesive is lifted off the substrate film, characterized in that during a printing process for sealing a printed surface an adhesive layer over the full or part area is applied after the printing operation onto a print sheet provided with a colour print and in that from a substrate film a transparent protective layer over a full or part area is adheringly transferred in the transfer gap (6) onto the print sheet by means of the adhesive layer, wherein the full-area or part-area protective layer is applied onto a printed sheet after the application of the last colour layer or onto a printed and varnished sheet after the application of the last varnish layer.
- The method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the protective layer is transparent, visible or invisible.
- The method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the protective layer is coloured or textured.
