Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif qui permet de chauffer une bande métallique (3), pour la porter à une température prédéterminée de manière précise et rapide, avec un encombrement réduit. Cette invention concerne également une installation conçue pour produire des bandes métalliques laminées à chaud, qui permet de chauffer des articles à laminer d'une manière optimale pour le laminage, malgré le faible espace de montage disponible. A cet effet, le dispositif selon l'invention est équipé d'au moins un système de chauffage à fonctionnement inductif (10, 11, 12, 13) pourvu d'un inducteur (14, 15, 16, 17) qui induit un champ électromagnétique, s'étend sur la section de transport (F) de la bande métallique (3) à chauffer et dont la position peut être réglée transversalement à la section de transport, en fonction de la largeur de la bande métallique.
