Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the radial distance between the circumferential surfaces (46, 47) of the two sawtooth profiles (27, 28) defined by the tooth crests is at least equal to the radial dimensions of the strand structure (6) embedded in the tubular body (5).
  10. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the rear end section (62) of the clamping gap (18), which immediately adjoins the axial clamping gap opening (24) does not feature any toothing and has a smooth surface.
  11. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the height of the teeth (32, 33) of the sawtooth profiles (27, 28) is approximately equal to a quarter of the wall thickness of the tubular body (5).
  12. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that one tooth (32, 33) is provided per millimetre length of the sawtooth profiles (27, 28).
  13. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the strand structure (6) comprises strands (7a, 7b) arranged in a cross-over configuration.
  14. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the strand structure (6) comprises two strand groups arranged in a cross-over configuration, with flexible strands (7a, 7b) running adjacent to one another with identical longitudinal orientation within each strand group, the strand groups being held at a radial distance from one another by the material of the tubular body (5).
  15. Actuating device according to any of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the contraction tube (4) is attached to a head piece (2, 3) at each end according to any of the preceding claims.
