Description

The invention relates to a trigger system for handguns according to the preamble of claim 1.

There are already so-called Double Action Only trigger systems known as pure tension trigger, in which the percussion hammer must first be stretched over the trigger with each shot. Such trigger systems ensure a high level of security in a weapon, since they can be put away or stored after shooting without additional relaxation. However, the conventional Double Action Only trigger systems have a constant trigger travel and a relatively high trigger resistance.

There are also partially preloaded trigger systems that have a shorter trigger path and allow the triggering of a shot with less trigger resistance. In many cases, however, a second removal after a Zündversager is not possible with these trigger systems.

From the US Pat. No. 2,846,925 a trigger system for a handgun according to the preamble of claim 1 is known. This trigger system also includes a percussion hammer, a pawl associated with the sear, a trigger and cooperating with this trigger rail having a first latching edge for engagement with a rear fire stop of the percussion hammer and a second latching edge for engagement with a relative to the first fire latch forward offset on Impact hammer arranged second fire catch contains. In this known trigger system, however, the forward offset fire catch of the percussion hammer at a greater distance from a running through the percussion hammer through hole for a percussion hammer axis as the first fire rest.

In the US 3,152,418 is also disclosed a trigger system of a handgun in which a front first fire stop of the percussion hammer has a greater distance from the percussion hammer axis than a rearwardly offset second fire stop.

The object of the invention is to provide a trigger system for handguns, which has a low trigger resistance and remains functional even with Zündversagern.

This object is achieved by a trigger system with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

The operation of the trigger system according to the invention corresponds to that of a semi-prestressed Double Action Only trigger system. By repeating (manually or by the returning closure after the delivery of the first shot), the trigger system enters a partially preloaded functional position in which the stored energy of the hammer acting on the percussion hammer spring is not sufficient to ignite a cartridge. By operating the trigger, the percussion hammer can initially be further tensioned out of this position and then released to trigger a shot. About the first locking edge of the trigger rail and the associated first fire stop of the percussion hammer, the trigger system can be operated with less effort due to the cheap lever to the pivot point of the percussion hammer. But after the first shot, it is also possible to operate the trigger system on the second locking edge of the trigger rail and the associated second fire with a considerably shorter Abzugsweg, but somewhat higher force. If the trigger rail moves by releasing the trigger in the direction of the percussion hammer, the second locking edge can get back into engagement earlier with the associated second fire door and it is a shot triggering with a shorter trigger path possible. However, this is due to the less favorable lever from the function in function of the second locking edge and the second fire catch to the pivot point of the percussion hammer a slightly higher force required. With the help of the second locking edge and the associated second fire rest also a repeated actuation of the trigger system for a Zündversager with then, however, a little higher effort and longer withdrawal path is possible.

The trigger rail 4 is located with the second locking edge 22 in the free-cutting 13 behind the associated Feuerast 14, while the first locking edge 21 rests against the control radius 11 of the percussion hammer.

If the trigger 3 is actuated in this position, the percussion hammer 1 on the trigger rail 4 by the then in engagement with the second fire stop 14 second locking edge 22 according to FIG FIG. 4 be tense. During this clamping operation, the trigger rail 4 on the control radius 11 of the percussion hammer 1 with the adjacent first Locking edge 21 of the trigger rail 4 as far as controlled until the second locking edge 22 of the trigger rail 4, the second fire catch 14 releases and can knock off the percussion hammer. At the same time the sling pawl 2 is brought and held on the control cam 19 of the trigger rail 4 and the catch pawl cam 29 in a position which allows a knocking of the percussion hammer 1.
