Claims (18)

  1. A device (34) for calibrating a contact pressure of a blade (30) in a scraping device, the blade abutting a periphery of a roller or cylinder particularly in a paper machine, a printing machine, a calender or another similar machine, characterized in that the calibration device comprising a holding blade (36), a sensor holder (38) mounted thereto, and a pressure sensor (40), wherein said holding blade (36), said sensor holder (38), and said pressure sensor (40) can be positioned such that the position of said pressure sensor (40) on the periphery of the roller or cylinder corresponds to a location of abutment of the blade (30).
  2. The calibration device of claim 1, characterized in that said holding blade (36) has a clamping end (42) which is designed like a clamping end of the blade (30).
  3. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said sensor holder (38) has a slot on its side facing said holding blade (36).
  4. The calibration device of claim 3, characterized in that said the height of slot (46) corresponds to a thickness of said holding blade (36).
  5. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said holding blade (36) is designed to receive several sensor holders (38).

  10. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an elastic pad (58) is disposed between said pressure sensor (40) and the surface (14) of the roller.
  11. The calibration device of claim 10, characterized in that said pad (58) consists essentially of plastic and in particular or silicon.
  12. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said pressure sensor (40) is a tactile pressure sensor and in particular a piezo element.
  13. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said sensor holder (38) consists of steel or plastic.
  14. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said holding blade (36) consists of steel or plastic which is reinforced by carbon fibers.
  15. The calibration device of one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said sensor holder (38) can be screwed to said holding blade (36) at any position.
  16. A method for adjusting a contact pressure of a blade (30) in a scraping device, the blade abutting a periphery of a roller or cylinder in particular a paper machine, a printing machine, a calender or a similar machine, characterized in simulating with a calibration device (34) a blade when the blade is clamped into a blade holder (10), measuring a pressure at which a pressure sensor (40) abuts the periphery of the roller or cylinder; adjusting the blade holder (10) to obtain the desired pressure values; storing settings to be reproduced after replacement of the calibration device by the actual blade (30); and adjusting the blade holder (10) using the stored settings.
  17. The method of claim 16, characterized in that adjusting screws, pressures of adjustment cylinders, inflatable hoses, or weights are varied to adjust the blade holder (10).
  18. The method of claim 16 or 17, characterized in that the pressure sensor (40) is positioned exactly at a location where a scraping edge of the blade (30) comes to rest.
