Claims (10)
- Illuminating balloon with an inflatable envelope (11) containing an illumination system (12) having at least one electric light bulb (22), inflating means (13) equipped with an integrated fan (15) designed to suck air in from the outside and to inject it into the envelope (11) while keeping the latter in the inflated state, a support means of the assembly formed by the bulb (22) and fan (15), and electric power supply means,
characterized in that the assembly formed by the bulb (22) and fan (15) is covered by a bowl (25) made of transparent or translucent plastic material, forming an explosion-proof isolating shield and a deflector of the discharge air enabling both cooling of the bulb (22) and inflation of the envelope (11), the bowl (25) having passage apertures (28) for air to flow to the internal volume of the envelope (11) to perform said inflation. - Illuminating balloon according to claim 1, characterized in that the passage apertures (28) are arranged in the upper part of the bowl (25) to perform inflation of the envelope (11) via the top.
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 1, characterized in that the bowl (25) comprises at its base an open end bounded by an annular rim (26) coming into engagement with a bearing surface (19) of the support means.
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 3, characterized in that the top part of the bowl (25) is attached to the envelope (11) by means of a removable fixing means (27).
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 3, characterized in that the envelope (11) is placed around the bowl (25) and comprises a circular opening (14) bearing on the annular rim (26) of the bowl (25) due to the action of said internal pressure, the edge (26) of the bowl (25) comprising a frustum-shaped profile operating in conjunction with the circular opening (14) of the envelope (11) to enhance the air-tightness when inflation is performed.
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 3, characterized in that the envelope (11) is placed around the bowl (25), and comprises a circular opening (14) secured fixed onto the annular edge (26) of the bowl (25) by fixing means.
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the support means of the assembly formed by the bulb (22) and fan (15) comprise a plate (18) having a larger diameter than that of the opening (14) of the envelope (11) and provided with holes (20) to enable air to be sucked in from the outside and for the power supply conductors to pass through.
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 1, characterized in that the plastic material of the bowl (25) is polycarbonate-based,
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 1, characterized in that the bowl (25) has a revolution shape extending over the whole height of the balloon (10).
- Illuminating balloon according to claim 1, characterized in that a safety thermostat (29) is housed in the envelope (11) to interrupt the power supply of the bulb automatically in case of stoppage of the fan (15).
