Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain siphon for a sanitary device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Drain siphons have long been known and are used for drainage example of sink. These drain siphons contain sealing water, which forms a so-called odor trap in the housing. Drain siphons are generally required to be as self-cleaning as possible and to ensure low-noise draining. For washbasins especially so-called bottle odor traps with dip tube have become known. Such is for example in the EP 0 727 532 A disclosed.
- the dip tube engages from above into a siphon housing and into an inner tube arranged in the siphon housing.
- the inner tube forms a deflection edge with a lower edge, at which the draining water is deflected and passes up to an outlet nozzle. This lower edge of the inner tube is located below the water level of the sealing water. The contained in the housing sealing water thus forms the odor trap.
- EP 1 227 191 A is another drain siphon become known, which is also provided for a sink.
- This has a siphon body which has a baffle which divides the interior of the siphon body into two partially separated internal spaces.
- This baffle wall has a lower edge which projects into the lower region of the siphon body. The draining water comes from above in the mentioned Siphon body and is deflected at the lower edge of the baffle wall by 180 ° and then passes up to the exit.
- the FR-A-2 771 431 discloses a floor drain with a housing receiving a dip tube. An insert with a lower mouth is not provided. The lower mouth is formed by the lower opening of the dip tube.
- the invention has for its object to provide a siphon of the type mentioned, which is characterized by a higher drainage performance and thus by a better cleaning effect.
- the drain siphon should still be structurally easy to produce.
- the object is achieved in a generic drain siphon according to claim 1.
- the draining water is channeled through baffles and arrives in this flow channel directly to the outlet. Through the baffles the rising water is thus directed to the outlet. As a result, a higher drainage performance and cleaning effect is achieved. The rinsing of dirt is thus more effective.
- the invention reduces the risk of trapping objects and debris in the siphon.
- the direct flow channel allows a low-noise guidance of the water and the avoidance of turbulence and turbulence.
- a particularly high drainage performance results when, according to a development of the invention, the flow channel has an upper arcuate region in which a substantially cylindrical wall of the insert flows around. This results in a particularly obstacle-free course for the outflowing water.
- the flow channel extends with respect to the outlet back to the top.
- the water flowing through can be guided in a comparatively wide arc in the outlet.
- a particularly cost-effective training arises when, according to a development of the invention on the outside of the insert at least one baffle is formed, which is accurately inserted into the housing.
- the in FIG. 1 shown drainage siphon 1 has a housing 2, which is preferably made by injection molding of plastic and in which a preferably separately manufactured insert 4 is inserted.
- a dip tube 3 is inserted from above.
- a nozzle 6 is integrally formed in an upper region, which goes away horizontally from the housing 2 and to which a here only partially shown outlet pipe 7 is attached. This outlet pipe 7 leads to a disposal line, not shown here.
- the dip tube 3 is connected at an upper end 8 to a drain funnel, not shown here, for example, a sink or the like.
- the effluent from the sink water passes through a vertical and use 4 and the housing 2 substantially coaxial channel 10 of the dip tube 3 to a mouth 11 at the lower end of the insert 4 and from there into a flow channel 18 and finally to the outlet, which the nozzle 6 is formed.
- the mouth 11 is located below the water level of the sealing water, not shown here.
- the insert 4 has a lower edge 20, which rests tightly against a housing bottom 19 and with a lower guide wall 17, the interior of the housing 2 in said flow channel 18 and a non-flowed space 21 divided.
- the sealing water is thus at least partially in the flow channel 18 but not in the space 21, which is separated from the flow channel 18 by said guide wall 17.
- a collar 14 ( Fig. 2 ), in which a sealing ring 15 is inserted, which seals the collar 14 relative to the housing 2.
- a plurality of retaining tongues 12 are formed, which rest on the upper edge of the housing 2 and which engage the insert 4 with the housing 2 and position against rotation.
- thread 13 are arranged on the insert 4, which serve for fastening a lid 5 on the insert 4 and for fixing the dip tube 3.
- the cover 5 can be placed in the manner of a bayonet lock on the insert 4 and releasably secured by turning. Basically, a screw cap is also conceivable here.
- the dip tube 3 has a cylindrical outer wall 22 and a lower end 9, according to FIG. 1 located immediately above the mouth 11.
- the dip tube 3 is rotatable about its longitudinal axis, while the insert 4 is positioned against rotation in the housing 2.
- the lower end 9 of the dip tube 3 is located at fully inserted dip tube 3 just above the mouth 11th
- the above-mentioned upper baffle 17 is integrally formed on the outside of the insert 4 and extends as seen from the lower edge 20 on both sides upwards and then vibrates according to Fig. 4 arcuately around the insert 4 around.
- An outer edge 17 a of the lower guide wall 17 forms the transition to the nozzle 6, in particular the Fig. 3 lets recognize.
- the edge 17a is located approximately in the region of the water level of the sealing water.
- an upper guide wall 16 is also integrally formed on the outside in an upper area, which also has an outer edge 16a, which bears tightly against the inside of the housing 2 and thus an upper boundary of the flow channel 8 forms.
- This upper guide wall 16 directs the upwardly flowing water directly into the nozzle 6.
- the flow channel 18 is thus bounded laterally by the guide walls 17 and 16.
- the draining water flows through the mouth 11 into the flow channel 18, which is arranged at the rear with respect to the nozzle 6.
- the water flows in the flow channel 18 vertically upwards, then flows around the insert 4 on both sides and then enters the nozzle 6 and finally into the outlet pipe 7.
- the water flowing is thus channeled in the flow channel 8 and passes directly into the siphon 1 without disturbing deflections.
- the directed flow avoids that objects and dirt can settle in the housing 2.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a drain siphon for a sanitary device according to the preamble of

The invention has for its object to provide a siphon of the type mentioned, which is characterized by a higher drainage performance and thus by a better cleaning effect. The drain siphon should still be structurally easy to produce.
The object is achieved in a generic drain siphon according to
A particularly high drainage performance results when, according to a development of the invention, the flow channel has an upper arcuate region in which a substantially cylindrical wall of the insert flows around. This results in a particularly obstacle-free course for the outflowing water.
According to the invention, the flow channel extends with respect to the outlet back to the top. The water flowing through can be guided in a comparatively wide arc in the outlet.
A particularly cost-effective training arises when, according to a development of the invention on the outside of the insert at least one baffle is formed, which is accurately inserted into the housing.
Further advantageous features emerge from the dependent claims, the following description and the drawings.

At the

If water passes through the
