Abstract

The switch has a housing (11) enclosing the temperature-dependent switch mechanism (12) having an electrically conductive housing base (14) and an electrically insulating housing cover (15), provided on its inside with a first counter-contact (21) for the switch mechanism, the housing base providing the second counter-contact (24) for the latter, so that a conductive connection is provided between the counter-contacts dependent on the temperature. A respective terminal electrode (34,41) is associated with each counter-contact, the housing base having an upwards projecting clip (28), used for retaining the housing cover and for contacting the terminal electrode associated with the housing base. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for an electrical switch with a temperature-dependent switch mechanism is also included.
