Abstract

Wird nun das Presswerkzeug 1 geschlossen, so wird der Stützteil 8 in die Ausnehmung 9 hineingeschoben. Die Wandung 26 gleitet hierbei an der Aussenseite 28 des zu verpressenden Rohres 14 entlang. Claims (3)

  1. Pressing tool, in particular for pressing pipe ends, comprising at least two pressing jaw elements (2, 3) which, by means of opposing ends (6, 7), constitute an opening gap (19) which is substantially closed after the pressing operation, wherein at least one pressing jaw element (3) has a supporting means (8) which, when in the applied but not yet pressed state, bears in a radially supporting manner on the outside (28) of the object to be pressed and, during the pressing operation, is displaced in the circumferential direction together with the pressing jaw elements (2, 3), characterized in that the supporting means (8) is constituted at least by a finger-type extension of a pressing jaw element (2, 3), which extension spans the opening gap (19) on the inside of the pressing jaw elements (2, 3) before and during the pressing operation.
  2. Pressing tool according to Claim 1, characterized in that the supporting means (8) is fixedly connected to the pressing jaw elements (2, 3).
  3. Pressing tool according to either of Claims 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one pressing jaw element (4) has, at one end, a recess (9) in which a supporting part (8) of the other pressing jaw (3) engages during the closing operation.
