Description

The invention relates to a box-shaped container for flat items in a standing position with a removable from the open-topped container stacking support and with a bottom, two narrow end walls and two lateral longitudinal walls. The broadcasts are aligned in the container with their large-scale sides to the end walls.

Modern letter sorting systems achieve peak throughputs of up to 45,000 shipments per hour. The emptying is usually done manually, ie the sorted consignment stacks are manually reloaded from the sorter in postal container. The post containers themselves are then either manually stacked on trolleys or handed over to the modern tray management system. This manual process is associated with a high error rate of the surgeon, a high monotonous load of the surgeon and very low throughputs.
When feeding the mail items to the sorter, manual transfer from containers to the sorting device of the sorter is also generally carried out.
A further increase in performance would therefore require additional operators and thus reduce the profitability of the sorting system.

In this context, a container, suitable for flat broadcasts in a standing position, known (DE 89 13 760 U1), the insides of the lateral longitudinal walls in regular Perpendicular to the ground and straight, elongated, open-topped recesses for a removable stack support, which are wider in the longitudinal direction of the lateral longitudinal walls than their slot-shaped openings to the container interior. For further throughput increases, the development of automatic filling and emptying machines and the appropriate postal transport container is required.

For this purpose, the so-called mail cartridge system (MCS) was known (US 6,026,967, WO 97/36523), in which a special container is used, which is designed as a stacking tray itself is suspended directly on the sorter before the stacking mechanism. The sorting takes place without reloading process directly into the cassette-shaped container. Upon completion of the sorting process, the cassette is unmounted by a robot at the sorter, replaced with an empty cassette, and transferred to a buffering or transporting system. The system-inherent disadvantages of the MCS system are, on the one hand, the complex and heavy cassette due to the high degree of functional integration, the significantly increased transport costs, the lack of stackability and nestability, limited air freight capacity and, second, the low filling rates of the containers. These can not be refilled with postage.

The invention has for its object to provide a box-shaped container with a removable stack support for receiving and transporting flat broadcasts, in which despite side walls with low rigidity a secure hold of the pile pressure receiving stack support is guaranteed in different positions according to the stack size and prevents uncontrolled slipping of the programs perpendicular to the stacking direction.

According to the invention the object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

The inner sides of the lateral longitudinal walls of the containers have at regular intervals perpendicular to the ground and straight, elongated, open-topped recesses which are wider in the longitudinal direction of the lateral longitudinal walls than their slot-shaped openings to the container interior.
At its two lateral ends, the stack support has form elements which are displaceable in the elongate recesses through the slot-shaped openings with a positive connection only perpendicular to the ground. The stack support is thus inserted into two opposite recesses with their form elements from above and pushed down to the ground. The recesses are chosen so that the respective stack or partial stack is kept under a certain stack pressure.
In the container bottom there are longitudinal ribs. On the longitudinal ribs, the programs can be easily moved in the container longitudinal direction, which is necessary when assembling two part stacks or for producing a certain stacking pressure. Since shipments of different formats are transported in the container, slippage of the smaller items during transport perpendicular to the stacking direction is to be avoided, so that the necessary stack pattern is maintained for further processing. This is achieved by removing the heights of the longitudinal ribs from the lateral longitudinal walls towards the center of the container. As a result, the consignments tilt over the container longitudinal side of the next longitudinal rib towards the center and remain with their leading edges to the next longitudinal rib hanging, whereby a shift is prevented.

In the bottom of the container are divided by the longitudinal ribs in partial transverse ribs divided transverse ribs at a distance from the recesses. At the partial transverse ribs, the stack support, which is completely inserted into the container, is supported by recesses for the longitudinal ribs in addition to the lateral guidance in the recesses against the stack pressure, whereby the bending load acting on the stack support is reduced.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are set forth in the subclaims.

For a plastic (PP) existing stacking support has a necessary rigidity and the manufacturing costs are kept low, it is advantageous to perform this double-walled and on each side two form elements at a distance from each other the recesses of the container wall, which are bent away from each other at their ends, provided.

The partial transverse ribs advantageously have a sawtooth-shaped profile whose tooth tips are formed by the upper edges of the longitudinal ribs. The steep tooth flanks are directed towards the longitudinal walls of the container.

If the container is designed in such a way that several containers can be stacked on one another and rotated at 180 ° about the vertical axis, the stack support is advantageously only designed so high that when stacked one inside the other, the bottom of the respective upper container not touched. This allows the stack support to remain in a safe captive position.

In order to enable an automatic loading and unloading process, the stack support advantageously has two centerable gripper receptacles for machine handling.

Subsequently, the invention will be explained in an embodiment with reference to the drawings.

In FIG 1, an inventive container is shown without an inserted stack support. He has two end walls 1, two lateral longitudinal walls 2 with perpendicular to the bottom 6 and straight, elongated, open-topped recesses 3 on the insides. The side walls 1,2 have no stiffeners and are slightly offset in the upper part to the outside to allow nesting. In the end walls are two handles 4 for hand transport and stacking means 5, which are arranged and designed so that in the same orientation, the containers stand on each other (the upper container does not dip into the lower container) and at 180 ° about the vertical axis twisted mutual alignment, the container according to the height of the outwardly offset portion of the side walls 1,2 of the respective upper container in the lower container is immersed. As can be seen, the items 9 are parallel to the front side walls 1. In the bottom 6 are parallel to the lateral longitudinal walls 2 extending longitudinal ribs. 7
The height of the longitudinal ribs 7 decreases from the longitudinal walls 2 towards the center. As a result, the mailings 9 tilt inwards and each shipment 9 remains hanging on the respective next longitudinal rib 7, since the longitudinal ribs 7 are above the container center out again higher.
In Figure 2, this process is particularly easy to recognize. Between the longitudinal ribs 7 are located at a distance of the recesses 3 partial transverse ribs 8, which have a sawtooth-shaped profile, the tooth tips are formed by the upper edge of the longitudinal ribs 7. The steep tooth flanks are directed to the longitudinal wall 2, to which the consignments 9 are to be oriented, ie to the right longitudinal wall second
The design of the stack support 10 is shown in FIG 3. As can be seen, it is double-walled in order to increase the flexural rigidity. For further increase in rigidity, there are ribs 14 on the longitudinal surfaces. The stack support 10 has the same design at the top and bottom, so that the orientation of the stack support 10 does not have to be taken into account in an automatic process of loading and unloading the container. Thus, the stack support 10 can be inserted to the bottom 6 of the container, the upper and lower sides have recesses 11 for the longitudinal ribs 7. Furthermore, there are centerable gripper receptacles 12 for machine handling on both sides. At the lateral ends of the stack support 10 has on each side two mold elements 13 in extension of the two walls and at a distance from the recesses 3 of the container wall from each other, which are bent away from each other at their ends. The two form elements 13 on each side are thus guided in adjacent recesses 3.
This is particularly well illustrated in FIG. Each open-topped recess 3 has a rectangular cross-section, wherein in the direction of the container interior conclusion is directed perpendicular to the ground gap. The longitudinal ribs 7 extending parallel to the lateral longitudinal walls 2 and the partial transverse ribs 8, which are arranged flush with the gap edge directed towards the viewer, are also very well recognizable.

Since the mold elements 13 represent an extension of the walls of the stack support 10 with a bend, it is ensured that the stack support 10 is guided with its lower part against the stack pressure without greater play. It can also be seen from above the prismatic gripper receptacle 12, which ensures a defined position of the gripper in the stack support 10.
