Definitions
- the invention relates first of all to a device handle for a vacuum cleaner with a take-up bracket shape for an electrical connection cable.
- Device handles of the type in question are known in a wide variety of embodiments and are used to handle the vacuum cleaner as a hand-held device. It is also known to arrange an electrical connection cable for the power supply of the vacuum cleaner on the device handle, this connection cable being able to be wound up in a space-saving manner on a correspondingly shaped holder shape of the device handle. In addition, solutions are also known in which the electrical connection cable can be removed from the handle of the device, for direct arrangement thereof on the basic vacuum cleaner.
- the handle of the device has an insertion groove open to the outside over its length for receiving the connecting cable.
- the connecting cable lies in an insertion groove extending in the longitudinal extent of the device handle, the depth of the insertion groove preferably corresponding at least to the cable diameter, so that the lateral surface of the latter does not protrude beyond the contour of the device handle.
- the solution according to the invention also results in simplified handling for suction work without a handle, in which the connecting cable is connected directly to the vacuum cleaner base body.
- the connecting cable can be detached from the handle of the device in the simplest way. It proves to be particularly advantageous if means are present in the insertion groove that hold the received connecting cable, for example, in a latching manner.
- the insertion groove is partially closed by mounting chicanes.
- Such baffles can be formed in the form of tongue-like device handle sections extending over the groove opening.
- the connection cable can only be removed from the handle of the device by pulling the connection cable past the mounting chicanes out of the insertion groove.
- the insertion groove opens towards a narrow side of a cross section of the handle.
- two mounting chicanes are arranged next to one another, projecting in opposite directions in the longitudinal direction of the insertion groove, an opening oriented to the diameter of the electrical cable remaining between the mounting chicanes.
- the connection cable is inserted into the groove by looping around the oppositely projecting bracket baffles, after which the connection cable is secured against automatic detachment from the handle of the device.
- the opening remaining between two oppositely cantilevering baffles is chosen so that the brackets can be easily looped around without kinking the connecting cable. If the insertion groove and the holding baffles consist of a plastic material that is gentle on the connecting cable, the opening remaining between two mounting baffles can be the same or slightly smaller than the cable diameter.
- the cross section of the insertion groove is preferably chosen to be larger than the cable diameter, so that in the course of the arrangement of the connecting cable on the handle of the device Connection cable can also be pulled through the insertion groove until final positioning.
- An embodiment has proven particularly advantageous in which a cable-protecting outlet opening is formed at the end of the insertion groove remote from the device. It is provided that the insertion groove extends radially outwards, thus forming a kink protection for the inserted connection cable at the end of the groove. It has also proven to be advantageous in terms of handling technology that the handle of the device has a handle area separate from the insertion groove.
- the invention further relates to a handle for a vacuum cleaner with a remote power controller.
- a handle for a vacuum cleaner with a remote power controller.
- a handle is known from DE 19608 247 AI.
- a device handle is shown and described, which controls the naturally aspirated motor in the basic device.
- the remote effect is realized mechanically by means of a remote control rod, which has a coupling shape, for coupling to a motor unit of the vacuum cleaner.
- the power position of the motor unit integrated in the vacuum cleaner basic housing is hereby achieved in a mechanical manner by connecting a remote control rod passing through the handle to a power divider arranged so that it can be gripped in the handle.
- the handle can be removed together with the remote control rod from the vacuum cleaner basic unit, after which the vacuum cleaner, as known from the aforementioned patent application, can be used as an underfloor unit for vacuuming in areas that are difficult to access. Due to the mechanical remote effect, the electrical connection of the vacuum cleaner can be provided directly on the basic vacuum cleaner, regardless of the operating mode, ie whether with or without a handle.
- the Remote control rod is designed as a rotating rod. This preferably rotates about the longitudinal axis of the handle or about an axis running parallel to it.
- the power divider acting on the remote control rod can be designed as a rotary actuator.
- the rotary rod is coupled to the power controller via a worm gear.
- the power controller can be designed in the form of a user-friendly slide controller.
- the sliding actuation of the power controller preferably in the longitudinal direction of the device handle, is converted into a rotary movement of the remote control rod via the worm gear.
- the worm gear is formed by a worm rib which is formed on the remote control rod and which interacts with an assigned groove of the power controller.
- the coupling shape mentioned is formed by a tubular shape of the device-side end region of the remote control rod.
- a remote control continuation set is provided on the device side, which couples with the remote control rod when the device handle is inserted.
- a rotary movement of the remote control rod triggered by the power controller of the device handle is transmitted to the remote control extension of the basic device, via which extension the motor unit is controlled.
- Telecontrol extension and telecontrol rod are preferably rotatably coupled to each other, the telecontrol extension being retracted into the telecontrol rod in the coupling position.
- the rib on the rod side has a length measured in the longitudinal extension of the tool handle, which is at least the maximum len corresponds to the telescopic dimension, so that regardless of the extended handle position, the rotating coupling engagement of the rod-side rib in the extension-side groove is given.
- a guide ramp is formed in front of the groove on the telecontrol extension. The latter, by acting on the rod-side rib - with angularly offset assignment of the rib and groove - causes an automatic rotation back or rotation advance of the distance-acting set comprising the groove to a position in which the rib and the groove are aligned with one another.
- the guide ramp is designed as a central rib with lateral guide surfaces, the guide surfaces turning into the groove over the length of the wall.
- the central rib serves as a deflector for the rod-side rib, so that the latter slides over the associated guide surface on the left or right side of the rib, which leads to a corresponding rotational displacement of the telecontrol extension until the rib is inserted into the groove.
- a dead zone is avoided.
- Finding the telecontrol extension and telecontrol rod is independent of the positions of the two power controllers, the power controller on the device handle preferably having priority. This means that preferably the position of the power actuator on the handle side when the handle is inserted into the basic device is transferred to the power controller on the basic device by rotationally displacing the remote control extension in the course of the coupling and the associated action on the rod-side rib.
- the power controller on the device preferably acts on the motor unit via electronics. It is also proposed that the power controller on the device be designed as a rotary controller with an axis of rotation extending in the direction of the handle axis.
- the power controller on the device side can also be designed as a sliding actuator.
- the remote control extension is preferably angularly movable, but rigidly received longitudinally.
- the end section of the telecontrol extension assigned to the rotary actuator has two longitudinal webs which leave a groove between them and which engage in a corresponding groove or the like of the rotary actuator, which enables an elastic relative movement in the direction of rotation by deformation of the longitudinal webs. Tolerances in the rotation paths of the individual, coupling components can therefore be accommodated in the simplest way.
- the invention also relates to a power controller in a device handle of a vacuum cleaner, the power controller being designed as a slide controller and comprising a plurality of power levels.
- the power controller include at least three power levels, an end power level being adjustable only after a mechanical obstacle has been overcome.
- the power controller can act on the basic unit-side motor unit both electrically and mechanically.
- the first and second power levels can be set at three power levels without major obstacles. A common detent is also conceivable between these first stages. These two power levels are usually sufficient for normal suction work. However, if increased suction power is required, one must be overcome after overcoming clear obstacle to reach the final performance level.
- the obstacle is an outwardly projecting rib which is to be pushed under a device-side limitation of the power controller clearance.
- This rib which is preferably also visible on the upper side of the power controller, is to be depressed in order to achieve the final power stage in such a way that the power controller can be moved further.
- the invention relates to a device connector receptacle for an electrical connection cable for a vacuum cleaner with a device handle and a device part.
- Such receptacles are known for electrical devices. Together with a plug that can be plugged into them, these each form a device plug-in device that allows an electrical device to be detached from its connecting line.
- the connector receptacle is located on the connecting cable and the connector is firmly on the electrical device so that the connector pins cannot be under voltage when they are not plugged in.
- a device connector receptacle of the type in question for a vacuum cleaner is known, for example, from DE 196 08 245 AI.
- the plug receptacle has a slot running in the plugging direction, which separates the electrical area from a handle.
- a distinctive handle for plugging the plug receptacle, which is separate from the electrical sector, is formed, which has advantages in terms of handling.
- the slot running between the electrical area and the handle can serve to guide the connector receptacle during the insertion thereof. At the same time, this is an orientation of the situation Given connector receptacle.
- the electrical area and the connecting cable extending in extension thereof are arranged almost in a hidden position within an open groove arranged laterally in the handle and the separate handle protrudes laterally over the handle.
- the electrical area of the connector receptacle has a rectangular cross section.
- the handle extends beyond the electrical area of the plug receptacle in the longitudinal extent thereof. It has also proven to be easy to handle that the handle has a grip-friendly profile and, on the side opposite the profile, also has a grip-friendly, trough-like shape,

- the device plug 22 on the basic device side is assigned to a lateral area in relation to a floor plan of the plug receptacle 4 as shown in FIG. 5.
- the slot 12 formed between the electrical area 13 and the handle 14 of the device plug receptacle 11 receives the wall section of the bracket 3 which is adjacent to the device plug 22, whereby by engaging the handling rib 20 mentioned in a correspondingly shaped one and positioned wall groove 23 of the arm 3 there is a further guidance of the device connector receptacle 11 in the plugging direction r.
- the pluggability of the device plug receptacle 11 is independent of whether a device handle St is inserted to use the vacuum cleaner 1 as a handle vacuum cleaner or whether it is used to use the vacuum cleaner 1 as an overfloor device is removed.
- the device plug receptacle 11 in particular the electrical area 13 and the connecting cable 10 adjoining it, lies in an insertion groove 24, the diameter of which opens outwards towards a narrow side of the cross-section of the handle and opening width is adapted to the electrical area dimensions of the device plug receptacle 11.

- connection cable 10 is caught in the insertion groove 24.
- connection cable 10 is removed with emphasis on the will, this by overcoming the mounting plate. NEN 25.
- a reinsertion of the connection cable 10 can be facilitated by an elastic configuration of the mounting chicanes 25.
- a further central mounting baffle 25 can be provided between the two end pairs of mounting baffles 25.
- take-up holder formations 27 are provided, around which the connection box 10 can be wound up in a space-saving manner when the vacuum cleaner 1 is not in use.
- a separate, bow-shaped grip area 28 is formed, but connected to the handling section 6 in the same material.
- the end of the insertion groove 24 remote from the device merges into an outlet opening 29 that is gentle on the cable, is curved gently outward radially and partially runs out into the grip area 28, as a result of which a device-side kink protection for the connecting cable 10 is provided.
- the power control of the motor unit arranged in the basic device G takes place when the vacuum cleaner 1 is used as an overfloor device, ie with the handle St removed, by means of a power controller 30 arranged in the basic device G and designed as a rotary actuator Embodiment four power levels adjustable, with an off-level with A, the two following power levels with L1 and L2 and a final power level with L3.
- a power controller 30 arranged in the basic device G and designed as a rotary actuator Embodiment four power levels adjustable, with an off-level with A, the two following power levels with L1 and L2 and a final power level with L3.
- a telecontrol extension 31 which extends up to the plug-in receptacle 4 through the arm 3, the longitudinal axis of which extends in the extension of the axis of rotation y of the power controller 30 and thus parallel to the handle axis x.
- This telecontrol extension 31 is rigidly received on the power controller 30 in a longitudinally movable manner. However, there is relative angular mobility to one another. This is achieved in that the telecontrol extension 31 consists of a plastic construction, wherein two longitudinal webs 33, which have a groove 32 between them, engage in a corresponding groove opening of the power controller 30 and thus allow an elastic deformation.
- the telecontrol extension 31 serves for the mechanical telecontrol of the motor unit by the further power controller 34 arranged in the handle area 28 of the handle St when using the vacuum cleaner 1 as a handle vacuum cleaner with a handle St. device-side power controller 30 can be selected.
- the sliding power controller 34 acts on a remote control rod 35 accommodated in the device handle St.
- the latter is designed as a rotating rod and is held in a tube section 36 of the device handle St, which is adjacent to the insertion groove 24.
- the arrangement is selected so that the remote control rod 35 is freely rotatable in the tube section 36, but cannot be displaced in the longitudinal direction.
- the coupling between the power controller 34 and the remote control rod 35 takes place via a worm gear 37, as a result of which the linear movement of the power controller 34 is converted into a rotary movement of the remote control rod 35.
- the power controller 34 has for this purpose a shoe 39 which can be displaced in a guide window 38 and which has a groove 40 in its end region facing away from the power controller 34.
- the end of the remote control rod 35 facing away from the worm gear 37 ends at a distance from the associated free end of the device handle St, the latter having in this end section a radially outwardly extending plug opening 42.
- the remote control rod 35 is also tubular and has a radially inwardly extending rib 43 on the inside wall.
- the length of this rib 43 which extends parallel to the axis, is adapted to the possible telescopic path of the device handle St.
- Basic device G first causes the guide surface formed by the expanding plug opening 42 to insert the free end of the basic device-side telecontrol extension 31 through the plug opening 42 and then into the tubular telecontrol rod 35. Finally, a rotary coupling between telecontrol extension 31 and telecontrol rod 35 is achieved by the rib 43 on the rod side engages in a radial groove 44 on the extension side (see FIG. 19). Thereafter, the sliding movement of the shaft-side power controller 34 implemented by means of the worm gear 37 is transmitted to the device-side power controller 30 via the remote control extension and via this if transferred to the motor unit with the interposition of electronics.
- the already described torsionally flexible coupling between remote control extension 31 and power controller 30 proves to be advantageous, since tolerances can thereby be absorbed without destruction.
- a guide ramp 45 is formed on the remote control extension 31 in front of the groove 44.
- the latter is designed as a central rib 46, running perpendicular to the axis of rotation, with filling surfaces 47 on both sides, the guide surfaces 47 turning into the groove 44 over the length of the wall.
- the vacuum cleaner 1 shown and described has three active power levels L1 to L3.
- the final power stage L3 can only be set after a mechanical obstacle has been overcome, in particular when setting via the power actuator 34 on the handle side.
- this has a rib 49 projecting upwards in the direction of the actuation projection 48 of the power actuator 34, which when the power level L2 is reached, a boundary edge 50 of the power actuator actuating clearance 51 occurs.
- this obstacle is removed by under the rib 49, after which the desired final power level L3 is reached (see FIG. 22).
- the obstacle chosen in this way can only be overcome with a strong will.
