Claims (35)

  1. Method for integrating a trough (1) in a horizontal receiving plane (2) comprising the following operations:
    (a) the trough is produced by moulding a synthetic rigid material, with a peripheral mouth comprising an upwardly widened portion (3) followed by a portion (4) which is rounded in a centrifugal direction and which terminates with a narrow edge (5; 5') having predefined overall radial shapes and dimensions,
    (b) the receiving plane (2) is perforated from one side to the other and an opening (6) is produced therein for inserting the trough (1) having on the narrow edge, in the upper portion thereof, an upper projection (7; 7'),
    (c) the trough is then placed in the opening (6) of the receiving plane (2) and is inserted from the top, with the narrow edge (5, 5') in the upper portion,
    characterised in that:
    - the trough (1) and the opening (6) are constructed with overall radial dimensions of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough in the rest state greater than those of the projection (7) and adapted so that at least a portion of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough can move, when positioned, into contact with the projection, producing a clip-fitting arrangement,
    - the trough (1) is positioned above the opening (6) of the receiving plane (2) so that the narrow edge (5; 5') thereof comes into contact with the upper portion of the projection (7; 7'),
    - there is applied to the trough (1) a downward insertion force which is capable of resiliently deforming the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough and/or the upper projection (7; 7') of the receiving plane (2) and producing the clip-fitting arrangement of the trough (1) in the receiving plane (2).
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that a clip-fitting arrangement is produced by means of friction.
  3. Method according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that a clip-fitting arrangement is produced by means of a wedging effect.
  4. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a clip-fitting arrangement is produced by means of a ratchet-like effect.
  5. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the narrow edge (5) of the upper edge of the trough (1) has a frustoconical shape from top to bottom which defines an upper rim (5a) and a lower rim (5b), the diameter of the lower rim (5b) and that of the upper rim (5a) being less than and greater than the radial diameter of the projection (7), respectively.
  6. Method according to claim 5, characterised in that the narrow edge (5) of the upper edge of the trough
    (1) forms a solid angle α between 5° and 15°.
  7. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the projection (7) of the opening (6) is a substantially vertical cylindrical wall.
  8. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the projection (7; 7') forms at the upper portion a rounded portion (7a) which provides its connection with the main face (2a) of the receiving plane (2), facilitating the clip-fitting of the trough (1) and initiating the positioning thereof.
  9. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the opening (6) of the receiving plane (1) has, at the lower portion thereof, at least one stop (8) which protrudes from the narrow edge of the opening, and which comes into contact with the mouth of the trough (1) when it is positioned.
  10. Method according to claim 9, characterised in that the stop (8) comes into contact with the trough in the region of the rounded portion (4) thereof having a centrifugal direction.
  11. Method according to claim 10, characterised in that the stop (8) has a convex shape which complements the rounded portion (4).
  12. Method according to any one of claims 9 to 11, characterised in that a sealing joint is interposed in the contact zone defined by the stop and the rounded portion.
  13. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the trough (1) is produced from a thermoplastic material by means of thermoforming followed by a machining of the mouth thereof in order to produce the upper edge with the predefined shapes and dimensions.
  14. Method according to claim 13, characterised in that the trough is moulded from acrylic material.
  15. Method according to claim 13, characterised in that the overall radial diameter of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough in the rest state is from 0.08% to 0.2% greater than the radial diameter of the projection (7, 7').
  16. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the trough (1) is produced by means of injection into a mould which shapes it directly into the predefined shapes and dimensions.
  17. Method according to any one of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the receiving plane (2) is of a wood based agglomerate covered with a polymer coating of the polyvinyl chloride type.
  18. Assembly for producing a fitting for bathrooms or kitchens, comprising:
    - a receiving plane (2) through which there extends an opening (6) for inserting a trough (1) which has on the narrow edge, at the upper portion thereof, an upper projection (7; 7'),
    - a trough (1) of synthetic rigid material, with a peripheral mouth which comprises an upwardly widened portion followed by a portion (4) which is rounded in a centrifugal direction and which terminates with a narrow edge (5; 5') having predefined overall radial shapes and dimensions, characterised in that the overall radial dimensions of the trough (1) in the rest state are greater than those of the projection (7) and adapted so that at least a portion of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough (1) can, when positioned, come into contact with the projection (7; 7') producing a clip-fitting arrangement of the trough (1) in the receiving plane (2).
  19. Assembly according to claim 18, characterised in that the overall radial shapes and dimensions of the trough (1) and the projection (7) are capable of producing a clip-fitting arrangement by means of friction.
  20. Assembly according to either claim 18 or claim 19, characterised in that the overall radial shapes and dimensions of the trough (1) and the projection (7; 7') are capable of producing a clip-fitting arrangement by means of a wedging effect.
  21. Assembly according to any one of claims 18 to 20, characterised in that the overall radial shapes and dimensions of the trough (1) and the projection (7; 7') are capable of producing a clip-fitting arrangement by means of a ratchet-like effect.
  22. Assembly according to any one of claims 18 to 21, characterised in that it comprises a receiving plane (2) of the upper projection (7) having a substantially vertical cylindrical shape.
  23. Assembly according to claim 22, characterised in that the projection (7; 7') forms at the upper portion a rounded portion (7a) which provides its connection with the main face (2a) of the receiving plane (2), facilitating the clip fitting of the trough (1) and initiating the positioning thereof.
  24. Assembly according to any one of claims 18 to 23, characterised in that it comprises a receiving plane (2) having an opening (6) which has, at the lower portion thereof, at least one stop (8) which protrudes from the narrow edge of the opening (6), and which comes into contact with the mouth of the trough (1) when it is positioned.
  25. Assembly according to claim 24, characterised in that the stop (8) comes into contact with the trough in the region of the rounded portion (4) thereof having a centrifugal direction.
  26. Assembly according to claim 25, characterised in that the stop (8) has a convex shape which complements the rounded portion (4).
  27. Assembly according to any one of claims 18 to 26, characterised in that it comprises a trough (1) having an upper edge having a narrow edge (5) which has a frustoconical shape from top to bottom.
  28. Assembly according to claim 27, characterised in that the narrow edge (5) forms a solid angle α between 5° and 15°.
  29. Assembly according to any one of claims 18 to 28, characterised in that it comprises a trough of thermoplastic material produced by means of thermoforming followed by machining of the mouth thereof in order to produce the upper edge with the predefined shapes and dimensions.
  30. Assembly according to claim 29, characterised in that the trough (1) is moulded from acrylic material.
  31. Assembly according to claim 30, characterised in that the overall radial diameter of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough in the rest state is from 0.08% to 0.2% greater than the radial diameter of the projection (7; 7') of the receiving plane (2).
  32. Integral receiving plane/trough assembly for fittings, in particular for bathrooms or kitchens, comprising a trough (1) of a rigid synthetic material with a peripheral mouth comprising an upwardly widened portion (3) followed by a portion (4) which is rounded in a centrifugal direction and which terminates with a narrow edge (5; 5') having predefined overall radial shapes and dimensions, which trough is integrated in a receiving plane (2) in the region of an opening (6) which has, on the narrow edge, in the upper portion thereof, an upper projection (7; 7'), characterised in that the trough is integrated in the receiving plane (2) by a clip-fitting arrangement which is produced by the contact between the trough (1) and the projection (7; 7'); the overall radial dimensions of the trough (1) in the rest state being greater than those of the projection (7) and adapted so that at least a portion of the narrow edge (5; 5') of the trough (1) can, when positioned, come into contact with the projection (7, 7') producing a clip-fitting arrangement.
  33. Integral assembly according to claim 32, characterised in that it is produced by implementing a method in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 17.
  34. Integral assembly according to claim 32 or claim 33, characterised in that it comprises a receiving plane (2) in accordance with any one of claims 18 to 31.
  35. Integral assembly according to any one of claims 32 to 34, characterised in that it comprises a trough
    (1) which has the features of a trough according to any one of claims 18 to 31.
