Abstract

A smell extractor device for toilet bowls comprises a duct (1) provided with a plurality of bores (2) and a connecting pipe (3) to an extractor (4) fit to force out of the bathroom the air sucked inside the toilet bowl (5) through the bores (2) of the duct (1). The duct (1) has an "M" shaped configuration wherein the end portions are fixed to the fixing means (6) of the cover (7). The bores (2) are carried out only in the middle portion of the duct (1), which is slightly inside the mouth (51) of the toilet bowl (5) and which has a configuration almost parallel to a back portion of the mouth (51) of toilet bowl (5). <IMAGE>

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention refers to a toilet boul comprising a smell extractor device according to claim 1.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The bathrooms which include a toilet bowl have at present a problem due to the smells which are produced during its use.
  • Even though a good ventilation solves this problem, it is not always possible to apply such solution. Mainly, the lack of windows makes difficult to carry out such ventilation.
  • Nevertheless, there are some means to carry out a forced bathroom ventilation. Among them, it can be mentioned the Spanish Utility model U-200202322 , of the same applicant, and in relation to an "extractor device for toilet bowls", having a device which allows to solve the problem of the bad smells by means of a duct fixed on the lower surface of the seat and provided with a plurality of lateral bores, oriented toward the inside of the toilet bowl. The arrangement of the above mentioned duct is such, that when the seat is in the position for use, such duct matches with the mouth of the toilet bowl establishing a perimetric closure between the seat and the toilet bowl. The device is complemented by a connection pipe which acts as linking member between the duct fixed to the toilet seat and to an air extractor of forced draught with external outlet.
  • Nevertheless, the mentioned device, due to its position in the lower surface of the annular seat, is subject to a mobility during the raising and lowering operations of the cover which may suppose an inconvenience, specially in the connexion with the suction duct connected to the extractor.
  • On the other hand, the US Patent 230988A describes a smell extractor system applicable to toilet bowls based on the placement of a hollow piece properly fixed on the anchorage of the toilet bowl cover itself, which piece is closed by one of the ends and by the other one it is connected to a duct which is projected towards the outside, and running by which an smell absorber duct which is branched off, in the central area of the piece, in two branches projected towards both sides of the toilet bowl following the path of its own ring thereof. In figures 2 and 9, it can be clearly appreciated the above mentioned characteristics.
  • The described system in this Patent document is complex in its general implementation and as a consequence of high economic cost.
  • DESCIRPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In order to solve the mentioned problems, it has been conceived the idea of the smell extractor device for toilet bowls which provides some structural characteristics oriented to facilitate its easy use, and to grant that there is no interference in the lowering of the toilet seat cover.
  • Consequently, the smell extractor device is provided with a conduct with a plurality of bores, and of a connection pipe to an extractor in charge of projecting to the outside of the bathroom the air sucked in the inside the toilet bowl through the bores of the duct.
  • According to the invention, the duct has an "M" shape configuration wherein the end portions are fixed to the fixing means of the cover. Furthermore, according to the invention, the bores are only defined in the central portion of the duct, which is slightly inside the toilet bowl mouth and which has a configuration almost parallel to a back portion of the toilet bowl mouth.
  • It has to be highlighted, that the connection pipe of the extractor is connected to one of the duct ends, but there is also an option that it can be connected to both ends.
  • On the other hand, it is possible to point out, that the fixing of the end portions of the duct, on the fixation means of the cover, will be carried out through some adequate means for the cover model to be dealed with.
  • Consequently, the smell extractor device has the duct arranged in such a way that it can carry out the sucking function of the smells generated inside the toilet bowl basin, without interfering with the lowering movement of the cover toilet feet. Furthermore, due to the position that the duct takes with respect to the toilet bowl, it is difficult that the duct becomes dirty, and therefore a convenient look is assured at every moment.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • In order to complete the description which is being carried out and with the object of making easier the understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a set of drawings is attached to the present specification in which, as a way of not limiting an illustrative example, they have been represented as follows:
    • Figure 1 shows a perspective partial view of the smell extractor device facing to its placement position on a toilet bowl.
    • Figure 2 shows a plan view of the smell extractor device positioned on a toilet bowl.
    PREFFERED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • As it can be seen in the figure of reference, the smell extractor device comprises a duct (1) provided with a plurality of bores (2), a connexion pipe (3) and an extractor (4) with outlet outside the bathroom.
  • The device allows its installation on a toilet bowl (5) to which it is fixed by fixing means (6) of the respective cover (7). Once the device is installed, such as it is shown in figure 2, the central portion of the duct (1) is slightly inside the mouth (51) of the toilet bowl (5) and has a configuration almost parallel to the back portion of such mouth (51).
  • It is important to point out that the bores (2) are only defined in the central portion of the duct (1). In other words, there are bores (2) only in the portion of the duct (1) which is inside the mouth (51) of the toilet bowl (5), since this portion is the one surrounding the area where the bad smells are generated, and therefore, where the effectiveness of the suction function is greater.
  • Consequently, the extractor (4) sucks the air inside the toilet bowl (5) through the bores (2) of the duct (1), and therefore the bad smells are evacuated out of the bathroom, circulating through by the inner duct (1) and the connection pipe (3).

Claims (1)

  1. A toilet bowl comprising a smell extractor device, the smell extractor device comprising a duct (1) having a "M" shaped configuration and provided with a plurality of bores (2) carried out only in the middle portion of the "M" shaped configuration of the duct (1), the middle portion having a configuration almost parallel to a back portion of the mouth (51) of the toilet bowl (5); and a connecting pipe (3) connecting the duct (1) to an extractor (4) fit to force out of the bathroom air sucked inside the toilet bowl (5) through the bores (2) of the duct (1); characterising in that the end portions of the "M" shaped configuration of the duct (1) are fixed to fixing means of the cover (7) of the toilet bowl (5); and the middle portion of the "M" shaped configuration of the duct (1) being slightly inside the mouth (51) of the toilet bowl (5).
