Abstract

Eine Trennwand, insbesondere Duschtrennwand, enthält ein erstes Trennelement (4) und ein zweites Trennelement (6), welche bevorzugt als rahmenlose Platten ausgebildet sind und im Bereich des Scharniers (2) einander zugewandte, im wesentlichen vertikal ausgerichtete Längskanten (8,10) aufweisen, ferner enthaltend wenigstens ein im Bereich der Längskanten (8,10) angeordnetes Scharnier (2) mit einem ersten Scharnierteil (13) und einem zweiten Scharnierteil (16), welche mittels eines Scharnierbolzens (24) gekoppelt und mit dem ersten Trennelement (4) bzw. dem zweiten Trennelement (6) verbunden sind, wobei bevorzugt zwei in vertikaler Richtung beabstandete Scharniere (2) vorgesehen sind. Die Trennwand soll mit einem geringen konstruktiven Aufwand dahingehend weitergebildet werden, dass in der geschlossenen Position der Trennelemente (4, 6) eine funktionssichere Abdichtung gewährleistet ist und dass mit geringem Bauaufwand das Festsetzen von Ablagerungen am Scharnier weitgehend vermieden wird. Hierzu wird vorgeschlagen, dass das zweite Trennelement (6) im Bereich seiner Längskante (10) eine Ausnehmung (22) enthält, dass ein erster Scharnierkörper (18) des ersten Scharnierteils (14) sowie ein zweiter Scharnierkörper (20) des zweiten Scharnierteils (16) in die genannte Ausnehmung (22) eingreifen und dort mittels des Scharnierbolzens (24) gekoppelt sind und dass an der Längskante (8) des ersten Trennelements (4) ein durchgehendes Dichtelement (12) angeordnet ist.
