Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Synchronmotor mit permanentmagnetischer Felderregung, mit einer mehrphasigen Ankerwicklung (11) und einem die Ankerwicklung (11) an ein Spannungsnetz (10) anschließenden, mehrphasigen Umrichter (12), sowie mit einer Steuerlogik (14) zur Umrichtersteuerung. Zwecks Gewährleistung eines zuverlässigen Schutzes für den Umrichter und zur Motorstillsetzung bei allen möglichen Störfällen ist eine Schutzvorrichtung (20) vorgesehen, die eine elektronische Schalteranordnung (21) zum Kurzschließen der Wicklungsphasen der Ankerwicklung (11) und eine die Schalteranordnung (21) im Störungsfall ansteuernde Steuervorrichtung (22) aufweist
