Description

The invention relates to a method for printing on one side of a transparent trained carrier medium. In addition, with the invention, a housing for Arrangement of such a carrier medium can be specified.

Hierdurch ergeben sich in nachteiliger Weise sehr ausladende, also tiefe A transparent carrier medium in the sense of the present invention serves to cover preferably internally illuminated Informastionskästen, - boards or information boxes. That usually in the line of sight behind one the housing closing housing cover arranged carrier medium is front with a substantially translucent interchangeable Information carrier, such as a billboard, provided and will back illuminated by a dedicated lighting device. The Light of the illumination device thus illuminates the back of the carrier medium as also the information carrier, so that the result is a backlit Information carrier results, which are well visible even in the dark is. This is called backlighting. For backlighting are parallel over the Surface arranged fluorescent tubes used. Such information boxes are described in documents GB-A-2 205 190, EP-A-107 939 and FR-A-2 606 539. A disadvantage of the above-described arrangement, however, is that a homogeneous light distribution and thus a uniform illumination of the Carrier medium together with information carrier is only possible if the Lighting device arranged at a minimum distance from the carrier medium is. This results in a disadvantageous very sweeping, so deep

Designs with a depth of 100 mm and more, for one aesthetic on the other hand, but also for structural reasons for use especially in public places are unsuitable. In a compact and Flat design, the lighting device is therefore in the immediate vicinity of the Position carrier medium. The then between lighting device and carrier medium resulting distance, however, is no longer sufficient to to ensure a homogeneous light distribution, so that in disadvantageous Adjust brightness differences on the front of the carrier medium, the z. T. so disturbing that a visual detection of the on the Carrier medium arranged information carrier no longer readily is possible. Especially with the use of fluorescent tubes turns this effect in a disadvantageous way, because they are characterized on the back the carrier medium arranged fluorescent tubes literally on the Front of the carrier medium and thus also on the information carrier from, so that the viewer an information carrier with alternating dark and light Perceives areas.

To such a contrast formation on the front of the carrier medium and the To be able to avoid information carrier is from the prior art the Use of a so-called "edge light" known. It refers to an edge-lit device used in exchange for the Rear side of the support medium arranged lighting device respectively Body edges of the support medium arranged lights and the rearward space of the carrier medium by means of parallel to the carrier medium plane emitted light lit up. Two carrier media are so by etching deals with reflection waves. Disadvantage of this Design, however, on the one hand the complex and therefore in the production also expensive construction as well as on the other the circumstance, that also at this embodiment, if the width is too large, a middle region of the Carrier medium remains, in contrast to this middle area surrounding areas is less strongly lit, so that a total of one to the center of the support medium resulting in light-dark contrast curve. The width of the device is thus subject to strong restrictions.

It is also known from the prior art, the individual lamps of the Lighting device to be provided with a surface coating, the one Variety of prisms includes. Disclosed is such Surface coating in US 5,186,530. Shown here are within one Housing arranged light guide, which are tubular and in the from outside the housing arranged lamps light is radiated into it. For a uniform light distribution within the housing, the individual light guide provided with a special surface coating, the As a result, a plurality of prisms is formed on the optical fibers. In Dependence of the position of the individual prisms on the surface of the Light guide can achieve a more uniform overall light distribution become. However, this type of embodiment is disadvantageously very costly and above all expensive. In addition, it requires to receive a uniform light distribution during assembly of such a housing detailed fine tuning and alignment of the prisms Fiber optics, which has not only proved to be time consuming, is also the made setting extremely susceptible to interference, so it is necessary of time to make an adjustment to time.

From US 4,937,716 a lighting device is known in which a Light source is disposed within a closed housing. The Lighting device has a mirror-like longitudinal direction Light reflector and via a light exit opening, which with a substantially non-light absorbing and separated from the reflector cover is closed. The light reflector is made of a diffusely permeable Material, which results in switching on the lighting device in the result a diffusely propagating light distribution in the interior of the housing. From Disadvantage of this arrangement is on the one hand, the complex configuration of Reflectors and the associated cover. On the other hand, this arrangement extremely space-saving, so that even with this proposed device only comparatively deep trained housing can be provided. In addition, the reflector system is extremely susceptible to interference from external influences, such as As a pollution by dust or water drops, with a Pollution of the reflector in a disproportionate extent on the reflector caused diffuse light distribution acts.

Finally, from EP 0 225 542 a lightbox for slides known. This lightbox essentially consists of an outer frame, a rear wall and two front arranged carrier discs, between which a slide is held. Between the intended in the lightbox Light source on the one hand and the slide on the other hand is a correction mask arranged facing the housing box behind the slide arranged and fixed to the rearmost carrier disc. Preferred way the correction mask is a photographic film which is initially unexposed Condition used in lightbox, and then by the light source illuminated the light box and then developed. At a disadvantage is the Making the correction mask extremely expensive and especially not on different light box sizes and shapes can be adapted. Rather, it is required, for each type of lighthouse a separate correction mask to customize. Another disadvantage is that the correction mask only in the Time of first illumination given light intensity or light distribution reproduces. A subsequent adaptation of the correction mask itself under certain circumstances changed lighting conditions is not possible. In addition, have photographic Film films after their development in unexposed areas a very dark Coloring, which is disadvantageous to the representation of in Viewing direction of the film foil upstream diapositive effect. Photographic Film films are also very sensitive to external influences and form, for example, under the influence of heat, as for example by Solar radiation can arise, a wave-like shape.

Based on the above, it is an object of the invention to provide a method for one-sided printing of a transparently formed carrier medium to provide, with which a carrier medium can be produced under Avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages despite an immediate Backlighting with a lighting device with flat construction one Almost contrast-free illumination of the arranged on the support medium Information carrier allows. Furthermore, with the invention, a housing with a transparent formed according to the method Carrier medium can be specified.

Flat depths of less than 60 mm should be able to be realized and allow a homogeneous light distribution despite direct backlighting.

The method is proposed to solve the above problem, a method for printing on one side of a transparently formed support medium, in particular an opal glass, with a corresponding to the illumination intensity distribution of the carrier medium in the use state with light acting lighting device shading, in which using the screen printing white and / or silver Pigments are applied to the print side of the carrier medium.

The method described above allows the imprint of a simple manner Shade on the back of the lighting device facing the Carrier medium. White is applied by screen printing and / or silver pigments whose application front of the carrier medium not is recognizable, but nevertheless on the light incident on the back one Compensation cause brightly illuminated areas, so that in the result Carrier medium is formed, which is also at inhomogeneous lighting on the Front a uniform and homogeneous illumination surface having.

It can be provided in this context that the carrier medium directly printed or alternatively that the carrier medium with a provided corresponding printed film. It goes without saying that the foil bearing the printed image itself is transparent and in terms of their material properties both for use in the Screen printing process as for use in connection with the inventive carrier medium is suitable.

According to a particular feature of the method is provided that the printing shading is a negative image of the illuminance distribution, too their receipt the illumination intensity distribution in a first process step recorded digitally photographically and in a second process step in a negative image is converted.

According to this method implementation is provided by the Lighting device formed inhomogeneous light distribution photographically too to capture. This is preferably done by means of a digital camera, so that in Result a digitally editable positive of the inhomogeneous light distribution of the Lighting device is present. This positive shows both bright and dark spots, where in the area of bright spots a high Illuminance and in the dark areas a low Illuminance is given. In order to correspond to this one Positive image formed imprint on the back of the carrier medium apply this positive image in a second step in a To convert negative image. The negative image shows as well as the positive image bright and dark areas on, with the light and dark areas of the Negative image are formed offset in such a way that dark areas of the negative image bright areas of the positive image and vice versa. The then negative image obtained by converting the positive image can then in itself known manner by means of screen printing either directly or indirectly to the Back of the carrier medium can be applied.

According to a particular method step, it is provided that the positive image before converting it into a negative image into a digital grayscale image is converted. This conversion step is advantageous in that softer transitions between dark and light areas can be formed, which results in a total uniform in the result Apparent illumination of the carrier medium is achieved.

According to another feature of the method, the negative image is Brightness, contrast, gradation and / or sound separation. In Advantageously, such discrepancies in the negative image can be smoothed out, which in consequence an improved illumination result of the carrier medium causes.

According to an alternative method implementation, it is proposed that the printing shading is a negative image of the illuminance distribution, too their preservation the appearance of a blank and with light acted upon carrier medium as an actual image digitally detected and with a predetermined target image is compared. It is intended for this alternative Procedure that an actual image compared with a target image and From this a comparison picture is created, which then on the back of the Carrier medium is printed. The produced by the lighting device Actual image is then in the use state of the carrier medium by the on the Corrected back side of the carrier medium applied comparison image, so that on the front of the carrier medium sets the desired target image.

To capture the actual image is the appearance of a blank and with Photographically, preferably digitally, light-exposed carrier medium photographically. The target image can be specified freely and results For example, from the view of a homogeneously illuminated Carrier medium, which by a sufficient, for practical use, however unreachable spacing of the illumination device from the carrier medium can be achieved. Once the actual image and the target image have been completed, they can to compare a comparison image.

According to a further alternative method implementation is with the invention proposed that the shading to be printed a negative image of the Illuminance distribution is to preserve the lighting conditions on the in Use state of the carrier medium of the illumination device facing side and converted into a negative image. At this Procedure is performed by means of appropriate measuring the Illuminance in location dependence on the back of the carrier medium certainly. From these illuminance values can then be a negative image be calculated in the manner described above on the back of the Carrier medium is printed.

With regard to the carrier medium of the object it is proposed a material produced according to the inventive method carrier medium for the replaceable arrangement of, in particular light-transmitting information carriers with the invention to the solution, which is characterized in that at least one surface of the support medium with a corresponding to the illuminance distribution of the information carrier and the carrier medium provided with light acting lighting device shading is provided. Preferably, the side facing away from the information carrier in the installed state is shaded. The shading is preferably generated by printing.

The peculiarity of the carrier medium according to the invention lies in the shaded Back, so that side, in the use state of the carrier medium facing the illumination device. Printed is the carrier medium here with a trained for illuminance distribution corresponding Shading, bringing a contrasting on the front of the carrier medium can be effectively counteracted. The on the back of the Carrier medium printed shading consists of alternating dark and light areas, with dark areas in all those places the support medium are provided, the high illuminance are exposed. On the other hand, those areas of the carrier medium that are only are exposed to low illuminance, with only a very little darkened shading printed. The on the back of the carrier medium imprinted shading thus represents a negative image of Illuminance distribution.

The carrier medium according to the invention advantageously allows an almost uniform and homogeneous illumination of the on the carrier medium arranged information carrier. The flat construction due to a inhomogeneous illumination of the back of the carrier medium occurring Contrast areas can be through the on the back of the carrier medium provided imprint be compensated in such a way that in Overlap of both contrast gradients, that of the lighting resulting contrast on the one hand and by the imprint on the back On the other hand, the contrast of the carrier medium is homogeneous adjusted illuminated information carrier. Without visual impairment can such an illuminated information carrier probably recognizable by the viewer be perceived.

With the carrier medium according to the invention can therefore despite a flatter Construction resulting inhomogeneous rear lighting or Backlight of the carrier medium on the front of the carrier medium be created homogeneously acting lighting impression, so that it in Advantageously, it is possible to have a close juxtaposition of carrier medium and lighting device to ensure an overall compact and compared to the prior art miniaturized design to achieve. there the reduction of the design is not bought with the disadvantage, To get shades on the front of the carrier medium, because these in the manner described above by the on the back of the Support medium printed shading can be prevented.

According to a further feature of the invention, the carrier medium is a Opal. The use of an Opalscheibe has become due to their milky appearance and the resulting Durchscheineffekte proved to be particularly advantageous. In addition to one Of course, Opalscheibe are also conceivable other disc shapes. critical is only that the disc on its rear side, that is the the Lighting device facing side with the above Shading can be printed.

According to a further feature of the invention, the shading by means of Screen printing applied. Especially with regard to mass production is the Screen printing of advantage, wherein in the known screen printing white and / or silver pigments to form the shade on the back of the Carrier medium can be applied according to appropriate specifications. The Use of white and / or silver pigments has the advantage that they although with regard to the incident on the back of the support medium light a barrier in the sense of shading, however, that these pigments not from the front, that is from the perspective of an observer, perceived can be. Advantageously, it is ensured that the on the Rear of the carrier medium applied shading the effect of a homogeneous illumination of the information carrier causes, however, the applied shading itself is imperceptible to the viewer. It is advantageous to print a mixture of a transparent Carrier material, for. A resin, and white and silver pigments.

Proposed with the invention of a further housing with a one Caseback and housing walls having and with at least one transparent housing cover lockable housing box, one inside the housing box arranged lighting device and a the Housing cover sidelined leaving a gap transparent carrier medium, wherein the carrier medium on its the Lighting device facing side with a corresponding to Illuminance distribution trained shading is printed.

The housing according to the invention serves in an advantageous manner, on the Carrier medium arranged information carrier evenly and homogeneously illuminate. In contrast to those known from the prior art Housing devices also enables the housing according to the invention consistent or especially flatter design a uniform and homogeneous backlighting of arranged on the support medium Information carrier. An insufficient and thus the information carrier not in visually appealing form presenting illumination can under Use of the housing according to the invention thus be avoided. there Both the manufacture and the handling of the housing is extremely simple and requires no additional manufacturing or handling steps, such as This example, in the known from the prior art "edge light" housings the case is.

According to a further feature of the invention is in one-sided for Information carrier provided design that of the lighting device facing side of the housing bottom with a light-reflecting coating Mistake. This achieves an overall better light distribution within the housing box, although not directly to the back of the Carrier medium directed light rays reflected and thus indirectly on the Carrier medium are steered.

According to a further feature of the invention, the lighting device from a plurality of juxtaposed lamps, preferably Fluorescent tubes formed. The use of fluorescent tubes has been included as particularly inexpensive and also with regard to the achievable Leuchtergebnis proved advantageous.

According to a further feature of the invention, the housing box is opposite Weather conditions tightly closed. This allows an arrangement of Housing boxes according to the invention also in the outdoor area.

In a partially sectioned side view Fig. 1 shows a housing box 1. This consists of housing walls 2 and a housing bottom 3. Inside the Housing box 1, a light source 4 is arranged, which by means of appropriate Holder 5 is fixed to the housing bottom 3. Locked is the housing box. 1 by a housing cover 6, wherein between housing box 1 and Housing cover 6 preferably not shown in the Fig. Seals are arranged so that the closed with the housing cover 6 Housing box 1 is formed weather resistant.

Within the housing box 1 is leaving a gap space 12 a the housing cover 6 adjacent carrier medium 8 is provided, the According to this embodiment, an opal glass is. Between the Housing cover 6 and the carrier medium 8 is in the gap space 12 a Information carrier 7, for example in the form of an advertising space arranged. Of the Housing cover 6 is transparent and thus gives the view of the free between the housing cover 6 and support medium 8 arranged information carrier 7th

For a uniform and visually appealing illumination of the Information carrier 7 over its entire surface, the carrier medium 8 is on his the lighting device 4 facing page 9 with a corresponding to the illumination intensity distribution of the illumination device 4 printed shading printed. Preferably, this is a Negative image of the illuminance distribution, so that through in the direction of Light 11 upstream of the information carrier 7 carrier medium 8 a Compensation of uneven illumination distribution achieved with the goal is that on the front of the information carrier 7 a total uniform light distribution prevails. Advantageously, such a optimized illumination of the information carrier 7 can be achieved without on whose front contrast differences, that is in a disturbing way alternating dark and light areas, train.

The Fign. 2a to 2d show in successive process steps the Formation of a printed image 16, which on the back of the previously described carrier medium 8 is printed. According to a first Process step will be the illuminance distribution in this Embodiment consisting of several fluorescent tubes Illuminator digitally detected as a positive image 14. For this purpose will be the housing box 1 according to FIG. 1 with a non-printed carrier medium 8 equipped and after switching the lighting device in one Darkroom photographed. The resulting positive image 14 is shown in FIG. 2a. In order to create a negative image 13, in a first step, the Positive image brought to appropriate format size and into a grayscale image 15 transformed. In this case, a review of the distances between the individual fluorescent tubes of the lighting device and the ratio from gross to net format. In a further method step, the Conversion of the gray scale image 15 into the negative image 13, which Fig. 2c shows. This negative image is then in a further process step postprocessed, whereby brightness, contrast, gradation, tone separation and the like can be adjusted as desired. The print image 16 is shown in FIG. 2d. This will now be used to complete the carrier medium 8 according to the invention by means of the screen printing method known from the prior art on the Lighting device facing the back of the carrier medium. 8 applied.

Method as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the shading to be printed is a negative image (13) of the illumination intensity distribution, wherein in order to obtain the said negative image the light conditions on the side (9) of the carrier medium (8) facing the illumination device (4) in the operating state are recorded and converted into a negative image (13).
  11. Carrier medium for the replaceable arrangement of information carriers (7) which are in particular transparent, produced by a method as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the side of the carrier medium (8) facing away from the information carrier (7) is printed with a shading corresponding to the illumination intensity distribution of an illumination device (4) which illuminates the information carrier (7) and the carrier medium (8) with light (11).
  12. Carrier medium as claimed in Claim 11, characterised in that it is an opal disc.
  13. Carrier medium as claimed in any one of Claims 11 or 12, characterised in that the shading is applied by means of screen printing.
  14. Carrier medium as claimed in any one of Claims 11, 12 or 13, characterised in that the shading is formed by white and/or silver pigments.
  15. Carrier medium as claimed in any one of Claims 11 to 14, characterised in that the shading is a negative image (13) of the illumination intensity distribution.
  16. Housing with a housing box (1) which has a housing base (3) and housing walls (2) and which can be closed by a transparent housing cover (6), and with an illumination device (4) disposed inside the housing box (1) as well as a transparent carrier medium (8) disposed adjacent to the housing cover leaving a gap (12), in particular produced using a method as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the carrier medium (8) is printed on its side (9) facing the illumination device (4) with a shading corresponding to the illumination intensity distribution of the illumination device (4).
  17. Housing as claimed in Claim 16, characterised in that the carrier medium (8) is an opal disc.
  18. Housing as claimed in Claim 16 or 17, characterised in that the side (10) of the housing base (3) facing the illumination device (4) is provided with a light-reflecting coating.
  19. Housing as claimed in any one of Claims 16, 17 or 18, characterised in that the carrier medium (8) is disposed replaceably in the housing box (1).
  20. Housing as claimed in any one of Claims 16 to 19, characterised in that the shading is printed onto the carrier medium (8) by means of screen printing.
  21. Housing as claimed in any one of Claims 16 to 20, characterised in that the illumination device (4) is formed by a plurality of illumination means, preferably fluorescent tubes, which are disposed adjacent to one another.
  22. Housing as claimed in any one of Claims 16 to 21, characterised in that the housing box (1) can be closed off and sealed against the effects of weather.
