Abstract

A rapid acting clamp, for clamping a workpiece to a workbench, has a pair of parallel operating levers topped by a handgrip and linked to a clamping element by a linkage. The clamp includes a ratchet and a spring loaded locking lever which automatically locks the ratchet in the clamp locking setting. The ratchet is released by a simple radial pull on the handgrip. This provides a single handed operation of the clamp. The ratchet arm is pivot mounted between the two operating arms with one end and is connected to the clamping element with the other end.

Der Verriegelungsgriff 32 kann mit seiner Halterung 35 auf das Verriegelungselement 13 aufgesteckt, aufgeschraubt oder auf andere Art und Weise befestigt sein. Die Ober- und Unterschale 33, 34 werden gegen den Verriegelungsgriff 32 gedrückt und formschlüssig an diesem gehalten. Die Ober- und Unterschale 33, 34 bilden einen Hohlraum, in dem die Führung 25, das Federelement 27 und abschnittsweise das Verriegelungselement 13 angeordnet sind. Bei Zusammengebautem Verriegelungsmechanismus können der Betätigungsgriff und das Verriegelungselement 13 relativ zu der Führung 25 und dem Spannbügel 5 in axialer Richtung des Verriegelungselements 13 entgegen der Rückstellkraft des Federelements 27 bewegt werden. The locking handle 32 can be attached with its holder 35 to the locking element 13, screwed on or fastened in some other way. The upper and lower shells 33, 34 are pressed against the locking handle 32 and positively held on the latter. The upper and lower shells 33, 34 form a cavity in which the guide 25, the spring element 27 and, in sections, the locking element 13 are arranged. When the locking mechanism is assembled, the actuating handle and the locking element 13 can be moved relative to the guide 25 and the clamping bracket 5 in the axial direction of the locking element 13 against the restoring force of the spring element 27. The locking element 13 can thus be moved out of its locking position by moving the operating handle in the opposite direction of the arrow 28.
