Claims (9)

  1. Housing for a remote control for an electrical system having a housing wall (9) which bounds an internal area (5), in which at least one operating element (11) is located which is like a pushbutton, is separated by a circumferential depression (12) from the rest of the housing wall and can be pushed from a rest position to an operating position against the pressure of elastic resetting means (16) which are arranged at the edge, having the features:
    a) the operating element (11) comprises a mount element (14, 14') composed of a soft elastic material, and a viewing part (15, 15'), which is in the form of a panel and is mounted on the outside of the mount element (14, 14'), composed of a harder material; and
    b) the mount element (14, 14') is connected at the edge to that housing wall (9) which is adjacent to the operating element (11), via the elastic material (16) which remains underneath the circumferential depression (12) and acts as the resetting means; and
    having the characterizing feature:
    c) the viewing part (15, 15') is at least partially surrounded by a circumferential edge (17) of the mount element (14, 14'), so that, when the operating element (11) is pushed to its operating position, that circumferential edge (17) of the mount element (14, 14') which is adjacent to the viewing part (15, 15') pushes against the viewing part (15, 15') from the side, and fixes it.
  2. Housing according to Claim 1, characterized in that the viewing part (15) is adhesively bonded to the mount element (14).
  3. Housing according to Claim 2, characterized in that depressions (21) are provided at the edge in the mount element (14) and/or in the viewing part (15) and hold the excess adhesive during production of the adhesive joint between the viewing part (15) and the mount element (14).
  4. Housing according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the circumferential edge (17) of the mount element (14') has an undercut (22) on its side facing the viewing part (15'), such that the viewing part (15') which is pressed into the undercut (22) is held by the mount element (14').
  5. Housing according to Claim 4, characterized in that the circumferential edge (17) of the mount element (14') has an undercut (22) in the form of a dovetail on its side facing the viewing part (15').
  6. Housing according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the mount element (14, 14') is composed of polyurethane.
  7. Housing according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the viewing part (15, 15') is composed of metal or plastic.
  8. Housing according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the housing wall (9) which surrounds the operating element (11) is composed of a soft elastic plastic, in which an insert (10) composed of metal or a glass-fiber-reinforced plastic is arranged.
  9. Housing according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the housing (4) is the key head of a motor vehicle key (1).
