Abstract

The invention relates to a clock comprising a clock face with hands and clockwork elements. Said clock face comprises a non-rotationally symmetric surface in the direction of rotation of the hands. The inner ends of the hands are rotatably mounted in a displaceable manner around a pivoting axis which extends in a peripheral manner with respect to the peripheral rotational axis of the hands and in a perpendicular manner with respect to the longitudinal axis of the hands. A control element is provided, enabling the hands to be pivoted in such a way that they can be displaced at an equal distance from the surface of the clock face as they go round. Said novel clock is characterized in that the hands on the inner end thereof or near thereto are rotatably mounted around a rotating axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the hands; the hands are flat in the visible region thereof; and a control element is provided, enabling the hands to be rotated around the rotational axis thereof in such a way that they can be displaced parallel to the clock face surface as they go round.

Description

The present invention relates to a watch with a dial, with one or more hands and with a movement with one or more concentric output shafts for moving the hands about a pointer rotation axis of rotation, wherein the dial viewed in Zeigerumlaufrichtung has a non-rotationally symmetric surface, said Pointer on its inner, the pointer revolution axis of rotation facing the end about a perpendicular to the pointer rotation axis and perpendicular to the pointer axis pivot axis are pivotally mounted, and wherein a controller is provided, with the pointers are pivotable so that they are in their circulation with move over this at a substantially constant distance to the dial surface.

A clock of the type mentioned is known from DE-U 299 21 231. In this known clock is indeed achieved that the pointers in their circulation on the non-rotationally symmetrical in the circumferential direction dial always run at a constant, short distance on the dial, but one is considerably limited here in terms of the selection of the hands. This restriction has its cause in that the pointers are pivoted in their circulation only transversely to their longitudinal direction, which is the case with flat-shaped hands, Thus, relatively wide hands, as well known in particular from clocks, leads to angular misalignments between the surface of the dial and the surface of the hands. These angular misalignments can reach such an extent that the reading of the time is difficult; In addition, the visual appearance is significantly affected by such angular misalignments. In practice, therefore, the known clock narrow, rod-shaped pointer, which preferably have a round cross-section, so that such angular misalignments, as explained above, do not occur recognizable. However, these narrow, rod-shaped hands visually provide a very lean appearance, which is unsatisfactory for the designer of such a clock and what considerably limits the design options. These disadvantages occur particularly clearly especially in clocks and thus particularly disturbing in appearance.

For the present invention, therefore, the object is to provide a clock of the type mentioned, in which a greater freedom of movement in the geometric design of the pointer is achieved and at the same time the representation and reading of the current time is ensured with good accuracy and clarity ,

The solution of this object succeeds according to the invention by a clock of the type mentioned, which is characterized
  • the hands are rotatably mounted at or near their inner end facing the pointer revolution axis of rotation about a further axis of rotation extending in the direction of the pointer longitudinal direction,
  • that the hands are made flat in their visible area and
  • that an additional control is provided, with which the hands are rotatable about their axis of rotation extending in the pointer longitudinal direction that they move in their circulation substantially parallel to the surface of the dial surface on this.

Essential to the invention, the clock on such storage and control of the hands, which ensure that the pointers follow the course of the dial surface not only at a substantially constant distance but also also substantially parallel to the surface. As a result, the use of in conventional clocks, especially clocks, usual wider or flat pointers possible. The rotation about its longitudinal axis for the continuous preservation of the surface parallelism between the pointer surface and the dial surface causes an additional stunning visual effect for the viewer of the clock. At the same time, despite the non-rotationally symmetrical dial surface and despite wide or flat hands always a clear and accurate time representation and reading guaranteed. In this way, the creative freedom for the geometric shape of the dial and the hands of the clock are further expanded, so that now the creation of watches with previously unrealizable appearances is made possible.

A development of the invention proposes
  • that the additional control is a rotary control arranged in the center of the clock, which is formed by each pointer a mechanical control curve whose curve is executed in accordance with the course of the dial surface viewed in the direction of pointer rotation,
  • that each mechanical control cam arranged by a concentric to the associated output shaft stationary Control disk or drum is formed with a control groove and
  • in that a control lever connected to the associated pointer is forcibly guided in each control groove, by means of which the associated pointer can be rotated about its axis of rotation extending in the longitudinal direction of the pointer during its rotation in accordance with the control groove course.

With such a mechanical control with a control cam whose cam groove cooperates with a control lever of the pointer, the desired rotation control of the pointer is realized about its longitudinal axis with a relatively small additional design effort. It is essential that the pointer outside the center of the clock need no additional storage and / or leadership and that the pointers are not supported on the dial. Due to the positive guidance of the control lever, this control requires no return springs and can work independently of gravity effects, making the clock regardless of position with regard to their attachment or installation. In addition, only a small amount of friction occurs, so that a movement with relatively low drive power and thus relatively small size can be used.

To achieve a particularly compact design is further preferably provided that the control for the pivoting of the hands and the additional control for rotating the pointer are combined to their axis of rotation extending in the pointer longitudinal direction to a common control. In addition, it is achieved so that the number of parts of the controller is smaller, which makes the manufacture and installation of the controller and the clock overall easier.

In a preferred specific embodiment, it is provided that the common control by each pointer a calculated mechanical cam is formed, which is formed on or in the mantle of a stationary, concentric to the pointer rotation axis arranged cone or truncated cone-shaped control body, and that in the Control cam per a control lever by means of a cam roller pair with two mutually spaced in the cam longitudinal direction cam rollers is forcibly guided, wherein in each case the distance of the control cam of the pointer revolution axis of rotation, the Verschwenkungsstellung the pointer and the slope of the cam between the two cam rollers of the cam roller pair, the rotational position of the pointer to their in Pointer longitudinal direction extending axis of rotation determined. Here, therefore, a control cam per hand provides both for its appropriate pivoting and for its appropriate rotation relative to the dial surface to ensure the desired constancy of the distance and the parallelism between the pointer and the dial surface in each circulating position of the hands.

Thus, the pointers do not collide with their associated stationary control body in their circulation and in their occurring pivoting movement, it is provided that the radially outer contour of each conical or frusto-conical control body is shaped so that it follows at a constant distance of the revolving cam. The distance is expediently dimensioned so that the pointers pass with a small but sufficient distance at the contour of their control body.

The controls to be used in the watches according to the invention can be realized in various alternative embodiments in addition to the mechanical design.

Alternative embodiments of the controller (s) are according to claims 6 to 8, e.g. with the aid of electric servomotors or controlled electromagnet or position-controlled piston-cylinder units, in each case in conjunction with downstream mechanical actuators feasible. The control signals required in these embodiments of the control can be supplied to the controller, for example, as analog signals obtained by sampling or as digital signals retrieved from a data memory.

In a further embodiment of the clock is provided that the means for the pivotal and rotatable mounting of the pointer, the control for the pivoting transverse to its longitudinal direction and the additional control for the pointer rotation about its longitudinal axis on the visible side of the dial are arranged and that the hands extend radially outward from the center of the dial. The arrangement and the course of the hands are in this embodiment of the clock still relatively closely related to conventional watches, so that the particular optical appeal of such a clock in particular in the shape of the dial and in the movement of the pointer is relative thereto.

An alternative to the embodiment described above embodiment of the clock provides that the means for the pivotal and rotatable mounting of the hands and the associated controls are arranged on the invisible back of the dial and that the pointer from the center of the dial back to the outside and then extend radially inwardly around the radially outer edge of the dial and then forward of the dial face, preferably over less than half the dial diameter. In this embodiment of the Watch is not only the dial deviating from usual watches designed, but also the arrangement and the course of the hands differ significantly from conventional watches. For the viewer, only the outer peripheral and the visible side portions thereof are visible from the hands, while the central portion of the dial at its front can remain free of hands and control means. If the clock has several hands, their distinction can be made in eg hour, minute and second hands by the length and / or width of the visible pointer areas or by an additionally or alternatively provided different colors.

In the case of the last-described embodiment of the watch, there is additionally the possibility that at least one additional functional element, in particular a luminaire and / or a text or advertising medium and / or a decorative element, is attached or attachable, at least in the central area of the front face of the dial not swept by the hands. The watch in this version offers in addition to the time display so at least one additional benefit, which additionally increases the attractiveness of the clock.

The dial of the clocks according to the invention can be designed geometrically diverse. A first preferred embodiment provides in this regard, that the surface of the dial is formed of two partial surfaces which adjoin one another at its base at an angle α not equal to 180 °. In this way, a dial is created, which illustratively has a kink in its surface. The two faces may be, for example, semicircular surfaces or other simple or complicated surfaces that together form the dial form. If an angle α is selected equal to 90 ° between the two partial surfaces, the clock according to the invention, for example, can be mounted in a form-fitting manner in the inner corner region between two mutually extending at 90 ° to each other room walls; when choosing an angle α of 270 °, for example, an attachment of the clock on a wall outside corner is possible. To avoid sharp corners or edges, the transitions between the faces can be more or less rounded or formed as a polygon.

An alternative development provides that the surface of the dial is formed of three partial surfaces with radially extending edges, wherein the partial surfaces adjoin each other at their radially extending edges at an angle α not equal to 180 °. In this embodiment of the watch, the three sub-areas may be e.g. consist of three equal circular segment surfaces, which then together form the dial, this composed of three extending in different spatial levels dial faces. If an angle α of 90 ° is chosen between the respective faces of the dial, a dial will result, e.g. can be installed in a room corner, in which two walls and a ceiling or floor surface adjoin one another.

With regard to the angle α between the faces of the two previously described embodiments of the clock is preferably provided that it is between 90 ° and less than 180 ° or between more than 180 ° and 270 °. When using angles α from the mentioned areas, dials can be formed which can be arranged to fit inside corners or outside corners of wall surfaces or pieces of furniture or other suitable surfaces. Again, as mentioned above, the transitions between the faces may be rounded.

A third alternative design suggests that the surface of the dial viewed in Zeigerumlaufrichtung considered regular or irregular wave or zigzag shaped height modulated. Even with such, at first glance seeming complicated surface shapes of the dial, the desired time display and reading is readily possible, since by means of the pivotal and rotatable bearings of the pointer and the associated controller (s), the hands in their circulation both the height modulation as also follow any change in the surface orientation of the dial surface.

In order to achieve the most compact possible construction of the hands of the clock driving mechanical components, it is preferably provided that the clock has a modified, preferably suitable for radio control, clockwork and that the movement, the means for the pivotal and rotatable mounting of the hands and the control (s) are combined in an integrated clockwork gear unit.

On the other hand, if it is in the foreground to limit the construction and production costs for a manufacturer of the clock according to the invention and in particular to use as many conventional watch parts, it is alternatively proposed that the clock has a conventional movement and that the means for the pivoting and rotatable Bearings of the pointer and the controller (s) are combined in a secondary transmission having input shafts which are in engagement with clockwork output shafts.

The clock according to the invention can, as mentioned above, be designed as a wall clock; also a design as free standing or hanging clock is possible. The watch may be designed for indoor use or, if the watch parts are weatherproof or with a sealed housing, for outdoor use outdoors. Finally, the clock according to the invention with a correspondingly smaller design can also be designed as a wearable clock on the body. Because of the better recognizability of the optical effects achieved in the movement of the hands in the clock according to the invention, however, an execution as a clock is preferred.

In the following embodiments of the invention will be explained with reference to a drawing. The figures of the drawing show:

FIG. 2
a control of one of the hands as part of the clock according to Figure 1, in plan view,

FIG. 4
the clock of Figure 3 in a view according to the arrow IV in Figure 3.

As shown in FIG. 1 of the drawing, the first exemplary embodiment of a clock 1 shown here has a dial 2 which is composed of three circular segment surfaces 21, 22, 23 of the same size. The circular segment surfaces 21, 22, 23 abut each other along their radial edges 21 ', 22', 23 'and each enclose an angle α of about 90 °, wherein each of the transition from the one circular segment surface 21, 22, 23 to the adjacent circular segment surface 21, 22, 23 is slightly rounded. The three circular segment surfaces 21, 22, 23 together form the dial surface 20, are attached to the numerals 24 for indicating the time in the form of Roman numerals I to XII. The transitions between the circle segment areas are expressed here in terms of times at 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock.

Due to this shape of the dial 2, the clock 1 can for example be placed positively in an upper corner of the room, the circular segment surface 21 parallel to a ceiling and the two circular segment surfaces 22, 23 parallel to a right and left wall, the walls and the Enclosure each cover an angle of 90 °.

Furthermore, the clock 1 according to FIG. 1 has two hands 31, 32, of which the hand 31 is the minute hand and the hand 32 is the hour hand. The pointers 31, 32 are designed to have an elongated surface and tapered at their radially outer end. They are e.g. Sheet metal stampings that can still be treated in color. At their radially inner end, the hands 31, 32 extend in each case in a pin 58 which extends in the pointer longitudinal direction and which is rotatably mounted about a rotational axis 131, 132 extending in the pointer longitudinal direction in a respective pivoting part 57.

In the center of the clock 1, a double pivoting and rotation control 5, 6 is arranged, on which the hands 31, 32 are mounted with their inner end about two different axes, namely about a respective pivot axis 151 and a rotation axis 131, movable. The pivot axis 151, 152 of each pointer 31, 32 extends perpendicular to Pointer longitudinal direction and perpendicular to the pointer rotation axis 30; As a result, each pointer 31, 32 can be swiveled in the direction of the pivot arrow 51 "; the axes of rotation 131 of the pivot bearings formed by the pins 58 run in the pointer longitudinal direction.

Within the pivoting and rotating control 5, 6 stationary control body are provided with mechanical cams, which are concealed hidden in Figure 1 and serve to the hands 31, 32 relative to the dial 2 so about their respective pivoting and rotating axes 151, 152, 131, 132 to pivot and turn that the pointers 31, 32 are always performed with a relatively small and in particular largely constant distance and at the same time parallel to the surface in the direction of pointer 31 'seen non-rotationally symmetrical dial 2. The pointers 31, 32 must in each case in the region of the radial edges 21 ', 22', 23 'of the circular segment surfaces 21, 22, 23 their most lowered, i. reach downwardly pivoted position, while they reach in each case in the region of the center of each circular segment surface 21, 22, 23 their most upwardly pivoted position. To maintain the surface parallelism, the hands 31, 32 are simultaneously rotated to a suitable extent about its axis of rotation 131. When passing through the edge regions 21 ', 22', 23 'is in each case the fastest rotation of the hands 31, 32 about its longitudinal axis; in the intermediate regions of the orbit of the hands 31, 32, the rotation is correspondingly slower. The degree and speed of rotation of the pointer about its longitudinal axis are determined by a corresponding curve of the cams.

Under the pivot control 5, 6 a here not visible modified movement 4 is provided by a Cover 40 is hidden. The movement 4 is carried out together with the pan and rotation control 5, 6 in the form of an integrated clockwork gear unit, which generates the time-dependent movement and dependent on the dial shape pivoting and rotation of the hands 31, 32 and transmits to this.

Although in the clock 1, the dial 2 viewed in the direction of rotation of the hands 31, 32 represents a non-rotationally symmetric surface, the hands 31, 32 run during their circulation but always in a largely constant and relatively small distance and surface parallel over the dial 2, so that in spite of the geometrically unusual and complicated shape of the dial 2 always an accurate time display and reading is guaranteed.

Figure 2 of the drawing shows the arranged in the center of the clock 1 according to Figure 1 two-fold pivoting and rotation control 5, 6 now in plan view, partly in broken-away representation, here for reasons of clarity, only the minute hand 31 is partially shown, which is approximately in Figure 2 in the three o'clock position.

The pivoting and rotation control 5, 6 is covered on its upper side facing the viewer in FIG. 2 by means of a continuous, rotating disk 50 which at its edge the pointer 31 in the transverse pivot 51 with the pivot axis 51 'and in the axial Pivot bearing 58 with the rotation axis 131, which coincides with the pointer longitudinal direction, pivotally and rotatably supports. The disc 50 is in the interior of the pan and rotation control 5, 6 coupled by means not shown coupling means with an output shaft 41 of the invisible lying in the background movement 4, so that the disc 50th moved together with the minute hand 31 per hour by 360 ° in the direction of pointer 31 'about the pointer axis of rotation.

Below the rotating disc 50, a fixed control disc 53 is arranged as a stationary control body having in its center an opening 54 for the implementation of the output shaft 41 or the aforementioned coupling means. Next, the control disk 53 in its pointing to the underside of the disk 50 top a circumferential cam groove 55. In this control groove 55, a control lever 56 is forcibly guided with its one end, wherein the other end of the control lever 56 is rigidly connected to the inner end of the pointer 31 supporting the pivot member 57. As clearly shown in FIG. 2, the distance of the control groove 55 from the output shaft 41 varies in the circumferential direction. As a result, the control lever 56 forcibly guided in the control groove 55 changes its orientation during the revolution of the pointer 31. This change in the orientation of the control lever 56 is transmitted via the pivot member 57 to the pointer 31 so that it is pivoted according to the leverage laws in the pivot bearing 51 about the pivot axis 51 'transverse to its longitudinal direction, as indicated by the pivot arrow 51 "in Figure 1 The farther the control groove 55 and the positively guided control lever 56 move away from the central output shaft 41, the more the pointer 31 is pivoted upwards, conversely the pointer 31 is pivoted downwards the more the control groove 55 and the A shape of the control groove 55 adapted to the shape of the dial 2 allows the desired effect to be achieved, namely a guidance of the pointer 31, and in the same way of the pointer 32, not shown in FIG. in a relatively small and virtually constant distance across the dial 2 regardless of the time of day and the associated position of the hands 31, 32 during their circulation.

Below the rotating disk 50 and over the control disk 53, a fixed cylindrical control drum 63 is arranged as part of the additional rotary control 6, which also has an opening in its center for the passage of the output shaft 41 or the aforementioned coupling means. Next, the control drum 63 in its outer periphery on a circumferential cam groove 62. In this control groove 62 a pointing in the circumferential direction of the control drum 63 second control lever 59 with its one end, which is formed by a mounted on a pin 61 roller 60, forcibly guided. The other end of the control lever 59 is rigidly connected to the radially inner end of the pointer 31 forming pin 58, which in turn is rotatably mounted in the pivot member 57. To achieve the desired rotational movement of the pointer 31 about its axis of rotation 131 varies in the axial direction, the distance of the cam 62 from the observer facing end face of the control drum 63. This causes the forcibly guided in the control groove 62 control lever 59 during the rotation of the pointer 31st its orientation changes. This change in the orientation of the control lever 59 is transmitted to the pointer 31 so that it is rotated according to the laws of levers in the pivot member 57 about the rotation axis 131, as indicated by the rotation arrow 31 "in Figure 2.

The pan and rotation control 5, 6 contains for each pointer 31, 32 of the clock 1 two separate control grooves 55, 62, so that each pointer 31, 32 regardless of the other hand pointer 32, 31 in a suitable degree during its circulation on the dial 2 is pivoted about its transverse axis and rotated about its longitudinal axis, that the desired constant maintenance of the distance and the surface parallelism with a small distance of the hands 31, 32 is ensured to the dial 2. At the same time, as in conventional watches, a mutual height offset of the hands 31, 32 provided in the direction of the output shaft 41, so that the pointers 31, 32 do not abut each other in mutual overhaul. If necessary, the clock 1 can of course be supplemented by a second hand controlled in the same way.

An example of a clock 1 with three hands 31, 32, 33 is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.

The clock 1 with three pointers 31, 32, 33 is shown in Figure 3 in the upper half above the pointer rotation axis 30 mainly in section and in the lower half of Figure 3 below the pointer rotation axis 30 in view. In the background of Figure 3, the dial 2 is partially visible with its dial surface 20; the remaining part of the dial 2 is not shown in FIG.

On the far left in FIG. 3 is a movement 4, which is covered by a cover 40, so that it is not visible when looking at the clock, that is to say according to FIG. 3 when looking from right to left. From the movement 4 here three total, each with a gear 72 provided output shafts 41, 42, 43 forward, according to Figure 3 so to the right, the shafts 41 to 43 are arranged concentrically to each other. To achieve a low bearing friction bearings 79 are provided for the storage of waves 41-43.

The clock 1 according to FIG. 3, in contrast to the clock according to FIGS. 1 and 2, has a combined pivoting and rotating control 7 for the desired pivoting and rotation of the hands 31 to 33 corresponding to the course of the dial surface 20, here with that of FIG matches.

At the right end of each of the shafts 41 to 43 each have a carrier plate 71 for each one of the pointers 31 to 33 mounted rotationally. All three hands 31 to 33 are in Figure 3 in the 12 o'clock position. Between each two adjacent carrier disks 71 and to the right of the outer right carrier disk 71, a control body 73 is arranged in each case. These control body 73 are each mounted fixed in position, that is not rotatable. Each control body 73 has the shape of a flat cone or truncated cone with a conical surface 73 '. In each conical jacket a control curve 75 is mounted in the form of a groove which runs around the entire control body 73 and its jacket 73 'and which has the shape of a curved curve.

On each carrier disk 71, one of the hands 31 to 33 is articulated. For this purpose, in each case a control lever 76 forming the foot part of the pointer 31, 32, 33 is mounted in a pivot joint with a pivot axis 151, 152, 153 so as to be pivotable on the respective associated carrier disk 71. The pivot axes 151 to 153 extend transversely to the pointer rotation axis 30 and transversely to the pointer longitudinal direction. The conical surface 73 'can also have a slightly convex or rounded design when viewed in cross-section, with the crowning or rounding following approximately a radius about the respectively associated pivot axis 151, 152, 153.

Dabei haben die Kurvenrollen des Kurvenrollenpaars 77 jeweils voneinander einen vorgegebenen Abstand in Längsrichtung der Steuerkurve 75.Furthermore, in each control lever 76 each of the remaining part of the associated pointer 31 to 33 rotatably mounted, in each case about an axis of rotation 131, 132, 133 which extends in the longitudinal direction of the respectively associated pointer 31, 32, 33. In each case on the foot-side, from the control lever 76 radially inwardly projecting end of each pointer 31, 32, 33 is a respective cam roller carrier 78 is mounted with a pair of cam rollers 77. The cam rollers of each pair of cam rollers 77 are within the respective associated control cam 75 and are guided therein. In this case, the cam rollers of the cam roller pair 77 each have a predetermined distance in the longitudinal direction of the cam 75.

When the hands 31, 32, 33 are rotated by the movement 4, the cam rollers of the pairs of cam rollers 77 of all control levers 76 move through their associated control cam 75, thereby causing two movements of the hands 31 to 33: a change in the distance the control curve 75 from the pointer rotation axis 30 causes the hands 31 to 33 to pivot about their pivot axes 151 to 153, as illustrated for the pointer 33 by the pivot arrow 51 "shown thereon, a change in the slope or direction of the control curve 75 causes Rotation of the pointers 31 to 33 about the axes of rotation 131 to 133 running in their longitudinal direction. In this way, it is achieved for each pointer 31 to 33 that it is in its orbit both at a substantially constant distance and parallel to the surface 20 of the dial 2 moves, even if this has a geometrically unusual and complicated shape, such as d ie FIG. 1 of the drawing clearly shows. In the case of the clock 1 according to FIG. 3, this combined pivoting and rotation of the hands 31 to 33 is effected by a common control 7 reached with the control bodies 73 and the other, previously described parts. This allows a particularly compact design with relatively few items.

In this case, the view of the lateral surface 73 'of the right, outer or upper control body 73 shown in FIG. 3 falls in the center of the control body 73 the pointer revolution axis of rotation 30, which is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. In addition, the circumferential, groove-shaped control curve 75 in the jacket 73 'of the control body 73 is visible. This control curve 75 follows with a small distance, the outer contour 74 of the control body 73 to make the rotating pointer, here the associated pointer 33, do not collide with its control body 73 in its circulation around the pointer rotation axis 30.

For clarity, only the pointer 33 is shown in Figure 4, which is shown here again in the 12 o'clock position. In its radially outer region, the pointer 33 has a flat shape with a relatively large width. Towards its foot, the pointer 33 turns into a round cross-sectional shape. With this part of the pointer 33 is located within the control lever 76 and is rotatably mounted in this about the axis of rotation extending in the pointer longitudinal direction 133. Behind the control lever 76 of the cam carrier 78 is guided with the guided in the cam 75 cam roller pair 77. Slightly further to the center then follows the pivot bearing with the pivot axis 153 about which the pointer 33 is pivotable in a direction perpendicular to the plane of FIG 4 level.

The dial 2 lying in the background in the background with its dial surface 20 corresponds in its design to the dial 2 according to Figure 1. Also in Figure 4, the dial 2 has three circular segment surfaces 21, 22, 23, which together form the dial surface 20. In the 12 o'clock position of the pointer 33 shown in FIG. 4, the latter is located in the middle of the upper circular segment surface 21. If the pointer 33 is moved further in its direction of rotation by the clock mechanism 4, which is hidden in the background, the cam roller pair 77 is moved over it Curve roller carrier 78 and the control lever 76 is a controlled, combined pivoting and rotation of the pointer 33 about the pivot axis 153 and the rotation axis 133. The Verschwenkungsposition of the pointer 33 and also not shown here further pointer 31, 32 by the respective distance of the associated control curve 75th determined by the pointer rotation axis of rotation 30. The closer the cam 75 is located on the axis of rotation 30, the further the pointer 33 is pivoted with its free end in Figure 4 to the viewer or more generally to the pointer rotation axis 30 towards; conversely, the more the control cam 75 is away from the hand-rotation axis 30, the more the hand 33 is pivoted away from the viewer with its free end or, more generally, pivoted away from the hand-rotation axis 30. The minimum distance of the control cam 75 from the pointer rotary axis of rotation 30 results here in each case at the positions 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock; the maximum distance is here at the positions 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock.

The rotational position of the pointer 33 about its axis of rotation 133 is determined by the slope or direction of the control cam 75 between the two cam rollers of the cam roller pair 77. The course of the cam 75 is so executed that in each case such a rotation of the pointer 33 results about its axis of rotation 133, that the pointer is guided in its planar outer part in each case surface parallel to the dial surface 20. As Figure 4 illustrates, the greatest changes in the slope or direction of the cam 75 are in the vicinity of the positions 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock, where each of the individual circular segment surfaces 21 to 23 of the dial surface 20 abut each other. In the intermediate regions, the control curve 75 runs flatter and with a smaller change in its slope or direction, since in these areas, the circular segment surfaces 21 to 23 represent planar areas.

In addition to the 12 o'clock position of the pointer 33, an additional position of the control lever 76 at 2 o'clock and at approximately 5.25 o'clock is indicated in FIG. 4 in the area of the arrow A and in the area of the arrow B. In each case, the twist angle β, which the pointer assumes to its basic position (= 0 °), is indicated.

The controller 7 thus provides with each pointer 31 to 33 only one control cam 75 that the associated pointer 31 to 33 is guided both with a substantially constant distance and surface parallel over the dial surface 20.
