Claims (13)

  1. A device for exerting thrust from external abutment points (1, 2) on a door or on any other vertical plane surface (3) such as a partition, said device being characterised in that it comprises:
    - a preferably hydraulic actuator (4), an intermediate soleplate (6), and a top abutment bar (7);
    - said actuator having a moving rod (41), one end of which is fixed by being hinged (63), preferably releasably, to said intermediate soleplate (6);
    - said top abutment bar (7) being fixed preferably by being hinged (63), preferably releasably, at one of its ends to said intermediate soleplate (6); and
    - said actuator serves to come into abutment against a bottom external abutment point.
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that it further comprises a bottom soleplate (5), said actuator (4) being fixed by being hinged (53), preferably releasably, at its other end (42) to said bottom soleplate (5).
  3. A device according to claim 2, characterised in that said actuator is a double actuator comprising an actuator body made up of a cylindrical chamber (43) enclosing two moving rods (41, 42) adapted to exerting thrust in mutually opposite directions, the ends of said moving rods on the outside of said cylindrical chamber being connected by being hinged (63, 53), preferably releasably, respectively to said intermediate soleplate (6) and to said bottom soleplate (5).
  4. A device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said top abutment bar (7) is of adjustable length, and preferably made up of two telescopic tubes (72, 73), the length of said abutment bar (7) being adjustable by locking the relative position of said telescopic tubes.
  5. A device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that, at its free end, said top abutment bar (7) is provided with a shoe (71) forming an angle bracket.
  6. A device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that said intermediate soleplate (6) comprises a flat support (61), one face of which serves to come into abutment against said door or vertical plane surface, and is provided with non-slip elements that are preferably hard spikes (62), the other face being provided with hinge means (63, 64, 45, 75) for hinging said actuator (4) to said top abutment bar (7).
  7. A device according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that said bottom soleplate (5) comprises a flat support (51) one face of which serves to come into abutment against a bottom abutment point (1), preferably constituted by the floor, and is provided with non-slip elements that are preferably hard spikes (52), the other face being provided with hinge means (53, 54, 63, 64) for hinging said actuator (4) to said bottom soleplate (5).
  8. A device according to one of claims 2 to 7, characterised in that each of said intermediate and bottom soleplates (6, 5) comprises a flat support (51, 61) and hinge means (53, 54, 63; 64) constituted by forks (53, 63) on one face of each of said flat supports (51, 61), which forks receive, preferably releasably, studs forming hinge pins through bores (55, 65, 75, 45) in said forks and in said ends of said top abutment bar (7) and/or in said actuator (4), thereby making it possible to hinge them to said soleplates (5, 6).
  9. A device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that said intermediate soleplate (6) comprises a recessed flat support (61) forming a recessed zone (64) making it possible to dispose said intermediate soleplate (6) around an obstacle formed by a lock or a door handle (31).
  10. A device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that it comprises:
    - a hydraulic power unit delivering pressure that is preferably at least 250 bars, which unit is preferably mounted on a frame that can be carried on the back of an operator; and
    - said hydraulic power unit being connected preferably via a single hose (81) to a single-acting hydraulic actuator (4) and also preferably via a handle (82) making it possible to open and close hydraulic feed and return valves for feeding fluid to and returning it from said single-acting hydraulic actuator.
  11. A method of exerting thrust, preferably of at least 50 kN, from external abutment points (1, 2) on a door or on any other vertical plane surface (3), said method being characterised in that a device according to one of claims 1 to 10 is used.
  12. A method according to claim 11, characterised in that the following steps are implemented:
    1) said actuator (4) is disposed inclined at preferably 20° to 35° relative to the vertical; with
    - said intermediate soleplate (6) in abutment against said door or vertical plane surface (3), preferably in the vicinity of the lock or door handle, or of the hinges of said door;
    - said actuator (4) being in abutment against a bottom external abutment point (1) that is preferably constituted by the floor, preferably via a said bottom soleplate (5); and
    - said top bar (7) being in abutment against a top external abutment point (2), preferably a lintel of the frame of a door or a ceiling, or a horizontal plane surface situated above said vertical plane surface; and
    2) the moving rod (41) of said actuator is operated in extension so as to exert said thrust on said intermediate soleplate (6).
  13. A method according to claim 11 or claim 12, characterised in that thrust is exerted on an armour-plated door in order to force it open by exerting thrust on said intermediate soleplate (6) until the inclination of said actuator (4) is increased by an angle of at least 3°, and preferably by an increase in the range 5° to 20°.
