If the valve 82 is closed, no connection can be made through connection 80 Fuel only flows out of the drive area through the connections 66, the flow cross section through the throttling points 70 is limited. If the valve 82 is open, in addition to connection 66 the connection 80 a further flow cross section released so that a larger amount of fuel from the Drive area of the high pressure pump 14 can drain. Overall, the valve 82 can therefore be used for the Drive area of the high pressure pump 14 flowing Amount of fuel to be changed.
- valve 82 is designed as a simple switching valve is that between a completely open and a completely closed position can be switched.
- a through the valve 82 variable flow cross-section in connection 80 can be adjusted, changing the Flow cross-section continuously or in stages can be done.
- the valve 82 is preferably dependent on the temperature of the drive area of the high pressure pump 14 supplied fuel controlled such that the valve 82 is closed at low fuel temperature or only releases a small flow cross section and at high fuel temperature is open or a large one Flow cross section releases.
- Valve 82 By controlling the Valve 82 can drive the high pressure pump 14 flow of fuel depending on the Fuel temperature, are changed so that at high Fuel temperature a larger amount of fuel Flows through the drive area and thus an improved Lubrication and cooling especially between the piston feet 42 and the polygon ring 38 is reached.
- valve 82 is according to a first Embodiment shown, in which this as electrically operated valve is formed.
- the valve 82 can for example be designed as a solenoid valve and is controlled by the control device 23.
- the valve 82 can be designed as a 2/2-way valve, which between an open and a closed position is switchable.
- the valve 82 can also be used as Proportional valve be formed by the flow cross sections of different sizes set become.

- the control device 23 then turns the valve 82 as explained above depending on the Fuel temperature controlled.
- the valve 82 can also be designed as a clock valve, which by the Control device 23 is opened and closed in a clocked manner, so that on average a certain opening time of the Valve 82 and thus a certain flow cross section in connection 80 results.
- Temperature sensor 84 can also be provided that the Valve 82 by the control device 23 depending on Operating parameters of the internal combustion engine, such as in particular Load and / or speed, is opened. It can be provided that the temperature limit at whose The control device 23 exceeds the valve 82 is opened, taking into account operating parameters the internal combustion engine, such as in particular load and / or Speed, is set variably.
- the valve 82 is according to a second Embodiment shown, in which this as mechanically operated valve is formed.
- the valve 82 has a switching element 86, the fuel is flowed around, depending on the fuel temperature changes its shape and thereby the flow cross-section closes or releases.
- the switching element 86 can consist in particular of bimetal, in which as a result different expansion coefficients of two different metals the shape change depending on the Fuel temperature results.
- the switching element 86 can be used as a spring can be formed, through which a valve member 88 of the valve 82 is acted upon. With increasing The fuel temperature takes the preload of the spring 86, so that the valve member 88 has a flow cross section releases in connection 80.
- valve 82 At low fuel temperature, for example less than 80 ° C, the valve 82 is closed, so that the entire Lubricant amount of fuel through the bearings 46 of the Eccentric shaft 40 via their connections 66 with the Throttling points 70 flows into the return 68. At high Fuel temperature, for example more than 80 ° C, it will Valve 82 opened and gives a flow cross section in connection 80 free.
- the drive area of the High-pressure pump 14 supplied lubricant quantity of fuel then divides depending on the design of the valve 82, especially the size of what is released by it Flow cross-section, into a subset by the Bearings 46 through their connection 66 with the Throttling points 70 flows into the return, and one Subset through the interior of the housing 44 in which the polygon ring 38 and the piston feet 42 are arranged, via the connection 80 and the open valve 82 in the Return 68 flows out.
- valve 82 When valve 82 is open, it results a larger subset of fuel coming from the interior of the housing 44 flows through the connection 80, whereby the Temperature level held in the interior of the housing 44 or can be reduced. When falling below one Valve 82 closes at predetermined temperature levels again.

Abstract
Description
The invention is based on one Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a fuel injector is known from WO 01/40656 A1 known. This fuel injector has a feed pump through which fuel from a Fuel tank is conveyed to a high pressure pump is, the high pressure pump fuel under high pressure in promotes a memory from which fuel for injection is removed from the internal combustion engine. From the connection between the feed pump and the high pressure pump Bypass to a drive area of the high pressure pump to supply it with a lubricant quantity of fuel. from Drive area leads at least one connection to one Return from which the amount of lubrication from the Drive area in the fuel tank is returned. The connection leads from at least one bearing of a drive shaft High pressure pump that forms a throttle. In the bypass a throttle is also arranged to the Limit the amount of lubrication. The drive area The amount of lubricant supplied is essentially dependent on Pressure after the feed pump, the design of the Throttle as a compromise must be made to the one hand limit the amount of lubricant flowing off and on the other hand a sufficient drive area lubrication sure. Especially at high temperature Fuel decreases its lubricating effect, so that under Possibly insufficient drive area lubrication more is guaranteed. Because of the throttling points limited amount of lubrication may also not be sufficient cooling of the drive area of the high pressure pump made possible.
The fuel injection device according to the invention with the Features according to claim 1 has the advantage that through the further connection controlled by the valve the amount of fuel flowing through the drive area can be varied so that sufficient lubrication and cooling can be ensured.
In the dependent claims are advantageous Refinements and developments of the invention Fuel injector specified. Through the Training according to claim 2 with increasing cooling increasing fuel temperature reached. Through the Training according to claim 8 is also high Sufficient lubrication between fuel temperature the polygon ring and the transmission element ensured.
Two embodiments of the invention are in the Drawing shown and in the description below explained in more detail. 1 shows a Fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine in a schematic representation, Figure 2 shows a high pressure pump the fuel injection device, Figure 3 is a valve Fuel injector according to a first Embodiment and Figure 4 shows the valve according to a second embodiment.
In Figur 1 ist eine Kraftstoffeinspritzeinrichtung für eine
Brennkraftmaschine beispielsweise eines Kraftfahrzeugs
dargestellt.
In Figure 1 is a fuel injection device for a
Internal combustion engine, for example of a motor vehicle
shown. The internal combustion engine is preferably one
self-igniting internal combustion engine and has one or
several cylinders. The motor vehicle has one
Die Hochdruckpumpe 14 wird mechanisch durch die
Brennkraftmaschine und damit proportional zur Drehzahl der
Brennkraftmaschine angetrieben.
The
Die Hochdruckpumpe 14 kann als Radialkolbenpumpe ausgebildet
sein und weist mehrere, beispielsweise drei mit
gleichmäßigem Winkelabstand voneinander angeordnete
Pumpenelemente 30 auf. Die Pumpenelemente 30 weisen jeweils
einen in einer Zylinderbohrung 32 dicht geführten
Pumpenkolben 34 auf, der einen Pumpenarbeitsraum 36
begrenzt.
Hubbewegung angetrieben. Die Exzenterwelle 40 ist in einem
Gehäuse 44 der Hochdruckpumpe 14 beispielsweise über zwei
Lagerstellen 46 drehbar gelagert, die als Gleitlager oder
als Wälzlager ausgebildet sein können.The
erfolgt. In den Verbindungen der Pumpenarbeitsräume 36 mit
der Förderpumpe 12 ist jeweils ein zu den
Pumpenarbeitsräumen 36 hin öffnendes Einlaßventil 50 in Form
In the connections of the
Zwischen der Förderpumpe 12 und dem
Kraftstoffvorratsbehälter 10 sind vorzugsweise ein oder
mehrere Filter angeordnet. Es kann beispielsweise ausgehend
vom Kraftstoffvorratsbehälter 10 zunächst ein Grobfilter 52
und diesem nachgeordnet ein Feinfilter 54 vorgesehen sein,
wobei der Feinfilter 54 zusätzlich einen Wasserabscheider
aufweisen kann.Between the
The fuel injector also has one
Drosselstelle 70 angeordnet. From the connection between the
Another
From the drive area of the
In Figure 3, the
In Figure 4, the
Hochdruckpumpe 14 zugeführte Schmiermenge an Kraftstoff
wieder. At low fuel temperature, for example less
than 80 ° C, the
