Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Geräuschdämpfungsvorrichtung (1) zur Reduktion von Mündungsgeräuschen bei Anlagen mit pulsierenden Gasströmungen, insbesondere bei einer Frischluftansauganlage oder einer Abgasanlage einer Brennkraftmaschine. Die Geräuschdämpfungsvorrichtung (1) weist einen Helmholtz-Resonator (2) auf, der über zwei verschieden dimensionierte Verbindungshälse (4, 5) mit einem Gasströmungskanal (6) verbunden ist, in dem ein pulsierendes Gas strömt. Die Kammer (3) kommuniziert über den ersten Verbindungshals (4) permanent mit dem Gasströmungskanal (6). Der zweite Verbindungshals (5) ist mittels eines Schaltglieds (8) zwischen einem aktiviertem Zustand, in dem die Kammer (3) über den zweiten Verbindungshals (5) mit dem Gasströmungskanal (6) kommuniziert, und einem deaktiviertem Zustand umschaltbar, in dem die Kammer (3) über den zweiten Verbindungshals (5) nicht mit dem Gasströmungskanal (6) kommuniziert.

The invention relates to a noise damping device (1) for reducing muzzle noise in systems with pulsating gas flows, in particular in a fresh air intake system or an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. The noise damping device (1) has a Helmholtz resonator (2), which is connected via two differently dimensioned connecting necks (4, 5) to a gas flow channel (6) in which a pulsating gas flows. The chamber (3) communicates permanently with the gas flow channel (6) via the first connection neck (4). The second connection neck (5) can be switched by means of a switching element (8) between an activated state in which the chamber (3) communicates with the gas flow channel (6) via the second connection neck (5) and an deactivated state in which the chamber (3) does not communicate with the gas flow channel (6) via the second connection neck (5).
