Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical contact coupling, comprising a first and a second contact carrier housing, each a first and second contact carrier for first or second contact elements, which in when coupling electrical contact.
There are known electrical contact couplings of the type mentioned, in which the contact elements are designed as pin / socket contacts. Ensure this high transmission security, but are mechanically sensitive. You require precise centering and parallel coupling levels. When skewing or imprecise centering can cause the coupling to tilt and buckle Lead contact pins. Furthermore, such electrical contact couplings with pressure / fixed contacts known in which one contact element is fixed while the other in Coupling direction is spring-loaded. These contact elements are mechanical insensitive and place neither on the centering nor on the parallelism of the Coupling levels make high demands. Your transmission quality is, however moderate. The contact areas are relatively small and their contamination causes higher ones Resistors and signal attenuation.
The conventional electrical contact couplings, for example at Rail vehicles used in conjunction with mechanical couplings have heavy rectangular housings with a protective flap that either is self-opening or positively controlled and the contact elements in the uncoupled Secures condition against pollution. The housings are on rods or Slidable to the built-in contact elements in the rails To move the coupling level. The movement of the housing takes place either over own drive, for example a pneumatic cylinder or with one the mechanical coupling coupled drive, which acts externally on the housing. The housings are usually hung or stored with a certain amount of play, the positioning of the housing relative to each other during the coupling process via centering pins and sockets on the housings. Positioning in axial direction occurs through the contact pressure of the mechanical coupling and via springs or rubber elements.
The invention has for its object a compact, modular and simple built electrical contact coupling of the type mentioned to specify the one Data, signal and / or energy transmission with high reliability and Interference immunity guaranteed.
This object is achieved in that the first and the second Contact carrier with respect to the coupling axis of the electrical contact coupling are rotationally symmetrical that the first contact carrier as a plug part is formed with a cylindrical outer peripheral surface on the first Sliding contact elements are arranged, and that the second contact carrier as Socket part is formed, which is intended for receiving the plug part and a has cylindrical inner peripheral surface on the second sliding contact elements are arranged.
Preferably, the one of the first and second sliding contact elements fixed contact surfaces, while the other grinding contact elements for System on the fixed contact surfaces have certain contact springs.
In the solution according to the invention, the contact elements are not essential exposed to mechanical stress. The sliding contact elements are first basically relatively insensitive to the mechanical forces to be expected and otherwise only come into contact with each other when the contact carrier are already centered relative to each other. The grind with each coupling process Sliding contact elements against each other, thereby cleaning the contact surfaces takes place, so that always a perfect contact and thus signal transmission is possible. The contact carriers are due to their rotationally symmetrical shape easy to manufacture, centering a cylindrical connector part in one cylindrical socket part can be easily and reliably, for example be guaranteed by conical centering surfaces on the contact carriers.
The electrical contact coupling according to the invention can both manually and can be operated automatically. It can be used in various technical fields are used where cables for energy, data and signal transmission can be detached are interconnected. In particular, it is for use with mechanical couplings on vehicles, especially rail vehicles certainly.
One of the contact carriers is preferably axial by means of an adjusting device adjustable. In a preferred embodiment, this is the first contact carrier, which is connected, for example, to a double-acting pneumatic cylinder. The other contact carrier is advantageously axially resilient and in Coupling direction biased so that when the contact carrier meets can dodge axially to manufacturing tolerances on the contact carrier housings compensate and catch a game occurring in operation.
In order for the rotationally symmetrical design of the contact carrier It is to ensure that the contact elements assigned to one another come together expedient if the contact carriers are secured against rotation in their respective Contact carrier housing are stored. This anti-rotation device can, for example by pin / groove guides on the parts movable relative to each other.
Since the sliding contact elements on the outer peripheral surface of the first Contact carrier are arranged, there is still the possibility within the to arrange first contact carrier further contact elements. The first Contact carrier on its side facing the second contact carrier have cup-shaped cylindrical recess in the plug contact elements are arranged to interact with mating plug contact elements the second contact carrier are determined. For example, the Plug contact elements of contact pins and the mating plug contact elements of Sockets formed. Since the centering forces on the connector part and Bushing trained centering surfaces are included Plug contact elements in the solution according to the invention largely free of mechanical loads associated with conventional electrical contact couplings Pin / socket contacts occur. However, to be on the safe side and any Avoiding lateral forces on the contact pins can also occur in the recess of the first contact carrier, further centering elements can be arranged. these can for example ribs made of an electrically conductive material be formed, which extend between the plug contact elements and when The domes engage in complementary recesses in the second contact carrier. The centering elements thus take over the further function of Shielding elements, which are supplemented by further electrical shielding can be, which surround the plug contact elements individually or in groups.
The first contact carrier can face away from the second contact carrier Side with a receiving the terminal ends of the contact elements Contact carrier socket, the bottom of which is connected to the piston rod pneumatic actuator is connected, one in the contact carrier socket has an axially continuous cable duct. Through the hollow piston rod the cable can be passed through to the first contact carrier. If the Contact carrier with the can base directly and detachable with the contact carrier can is connected, the jacket of the contact carrier can from the can bottom and the contact carrier loosened and pulled forward so that the Terminal ends of the contact elements of the first contact carrier are exposed. This facilitates assembly and service.
To prevent moisture and dirt from getting into the coupling To avoid contact carriers, it is useful if on the first contact carrier a sealing surface intended for contact with the second contact carrier housing is trained.
As already said at the beginning, the second contact carrier is expedient axially movable and with radial play in the second contact carrier housing stored and has on its outer edge facing the first contact carrier conical centering surface that is used to abut a complementary conical Stop surface of the second contact carrier housing is determined, the second Contact carrier is biased by spring means in the direction of the stop surface. If the second contact carrier with the clutch open from the axially acting Springs are pressed against the stop surface of the second contact carrier housing, it will be centered automatically. On the other hand, if it is engaged by axially lifted this stop surface, it receives a radial play at the same time, so that occurring in operation axial and radial movements of the Contact carrier housing can be balanced relative to each other without the contact carriers move relative to each other.
The contact carrier housing with mechanical Provide centering means which engage with one another during the coupling process, so that the contact carrier housing are aligned relative to each other before the first contact carrier is adjusted and the contact elements engage with each other to step. A signaling device can be assigned to the centering means mutual engagement of the centering means and, for example, the adjustment of the first contact carrier triggers as soon as the two contact carrier housings are relative are aligned with each other. However, the signal generator can also be connected to the mechanical one Be arranged clutch and on the closing of the mechanical clutch speak to.
To compensate for tolerances of the mechanical coupling heads, it is useful if at least one of the contact carrier housings via elastic Fasteners can be attached to the respective coupling head. This Fasteners can be arranged so that the contact carrier housing slightly in the coupling direction over the respective coupling head survive mechanical coupling. This ensures that independent from the play of the mechanical coupling the contact carrier housing Electrical contact coupling can meet in any case.
To ensure reliable contacting even during operation the first contact carrier in the coupled state either directly with the second Contact carrier or lockable with the second contact carrier housing. For this can be at least one radial on one of the parts to be locked together adjustable locking element can be arranged to engage in him assigned recess is determined in the other part. For example the locking element is a pin that can be adjusted by means of an electromagnet. The Locking element can be on the socket part or on the second Contact carrier housing can be arranged. To overload the Electrical contact coupling in the event of an unintentional loosening of the mechanical To avoid coupling, the locking element is expediently so trained to be at a certain threshold Traction on the interlocked parts releases the lock. This can be done by a corresponding design of the locking element with a Ramp area and the like and in the worst case by integrating a Predetermined breaking point in the locking element can be ensured.
A sensor is expediently provided which completely pushes it in monitors and controls the plug part in the socket part. The example as Proximity sensor trained switches when the Plug part in the socket part of the actuator and controls the actuation of Locking element. If the coupling parts move apart unintentionally if necessary, the sensor causes the actuating device to be switched on again.
The actuator can be designed so that it is in the engaged state a freewheel position is switchable, in which the first contact carrier relative to the first contact carrier housing is freely movable axially. If the first contact carrier locked in the coupled state on the second contact carrier housing and the second contact carrier is biased against the first contact carrier, a Relative movement between the contact carrier housings not on the contact carrier transmitted, i.e. these remain unaffected by this relative movement can move together relative to the first contact carrier housing. This avoids that the contact elements on the contact carriers at a Rub relative movement of the contact carrier housing together.
To counter the contact elements of the electrical contact coupling in the uncoupled state To protect pollution and the ingress of moisture are the Coupling openings of the respective contact carrier housing by a controllable Closure lockable, as is already known. In the solution according to the invention preferably comprises at least one Locking plate adjustable transversely to the coupling axis. Compared to the known pivotable flaps, this solution has the great advantage that the closure then needs to be opened when the contact carrier housing The electrical contact coupling is already in contact with one another and the coupling openings the contact carrier housing against the ingress of dirt and Are protected from moisture. A flap on the other hand must first be swung away, before the contact carrier housing can be moved towards each other, so that the coupling openings at least until the Expose the contact carrier housing unprotected. In the solution according to the invention the closure therefore expediently depending on the coupling process controllable, i.e. the shutter is only opened when the two Contact carrier housings abut one another or the closure is closed, before the two contact carrier housings separate. Instead of a sliding one Closure plate could also be a kind of blind. This can also be done design so that the coupling opening only after the meeting of the Contact carrier housing needs to be opened.

The electrical contact coupling shown schematically in FIG. 1 comprises a first one

An
gleichmäßigen Umfangsabständen achsparallele Nuten 56 ausgearbeitet, in welche
According to Figure 3, the
erleichtern. The insulating body has at the front end facing the viewer in FIG

Anschlußfahnen der Kontaktelemente 58.The
The
The
The
The insulating
The
The
The
dieses Gehäuses ab.The
In this position, the
To prevent the mechanical clutch from being opened accidentally

The electrical contact coupling described above consists of simple
