Description

Skibindung und Skibremse, am Ski.The present invention relates to a ski and a method for assembling additional elements, e.g. Ski binding and ski brake, on the ski.

Usually additional elements such as ski bindings and ski brakes, either directly or by means of a binding plate attached to the ski by screwing. The binding is either bolted directly to the ski or bolted the binding plate to the ski and the binding mounted on the binding plate.

Recently, along with the spread of carving skis, the use of a binding plate for mounting the ski binding has been widely used. It has been shown that it is advantageous if at least one binding element is movably mounted with respect to the ski body in order, for example, to disturb as little as possible the bending line of the ski through the binding plate and the binding structure.

A known binding mounting device is for example in DE-U-200 12 437 described. The apparatus comprises a front base plate having a mounting zone provided for a front retaining member and a rear base plate having a mounting zone provided for a rear retaining member. The rear base plate has in its lower part a transverse pivot for connection to the ski about which the base plate can swing freely relative to the ski when installed on the ski. The other baseplate has a circuit board having the mounting zone and means for mounting on the ski intended to firmly connect the circuit board to the ski or to slide in a guide along the longitudinal direction of the ski over a limited amplitude can. The base plates are interconnected by a non-expandable connection, the connection being configured to be neutral to itself relative to relative removal of the base plates and neutral to relative approach of the base plates.

The DE-U-200 12 438 describes a similar device, wherein there the front base plate in its lower part has a transverse pivot for connection to the ski, around which the base plate can jump freely relative to the ski when it is installed on the ski. The rear base plate has means provided for mounting the base plate firmly on the ski. The base plates are also connected to each other here by a non-expandable connection.

Der Abstand zwischen den beiden Drehzapfen liegt im Bereich von 156 bis 376 mm.The in the DE-U-200 13 978 The device described has two transverse pivots, one of each of the front binding element and the rear binding element assigned. The distance between the two pivot pins is in the range of 156 to 376 mm.

The EP-A-1 175 925 describes an alpine ski with an elongated ski body having a front end, a rear end, and a central region. The ski body consists of a main core covering a running surface of the ski, a stack of sliding and reinforcing layers having two lateral ski edges, the core itself being covered by a stack of reinforcing and possibly decorative layers. In the middle region of the ski, an auxiliary core is superimposed on the main core, which forms a rib of reduced width protruding from the surface of the ski in this central region. On this projecting rib, a binding plate is fastened by means of two transverse pins which extend through the rib and the binding plate.

Furthermore, the describes EP-A-1 161 972 a ski with a profile rail system, which is provided at least in the binding area on the ski upper side. The profiled rail system consists of at least one extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail, which serves for fastening of functional elements, such as a binding or its elements or a binding plate, by pushing on the rail. The rail is connected to a plurality of molded dowels or dowel sections by a dowel connection or anchoring to the ski body.

EP-A-1 279 421 represents state of the art according to Art. 54 (3) and discloses a ski with a holding device which is intended to be mounted on the ski to hold binding elements which firmly connect a user's shoe to the ski. The holding device has two longitudinal parts with lateral engagement means intended to come into engagement with complementary cooperation means arranged laterally with respect to the ski and assembled together by at least one of the binding elements (toe or heel automaton). This ensures a transverse connection of the two longitudinal parts. The lateral cooperation means have the shape of at least one section which forms a sliding guide and is arranged in a side edge of each of the two longitudinal parts and is intended to cooperate with the complementary cooperation means which form at least one sliding guide have forming zone which is arranged in side surfaces of the ski.

The WO 88/04563 on which the preamble of claim 1 is based describes a ski binding adjustable in the longitudinal direction of a ski binding for cross-country and touring skis. The ski binding allows a slidable adjustment of the portion along the ski to which the ski boot is attached, so that the center of gravity of the skier can be offset relative to a central portion of the ski.

All of these known ski and mounting devices for binding assembly have the disadvantage that the binding plates or binding elements must be attached by tools on the ski, which in particular adversely affects the bending line of the ski, requires additional assembly steps, the ski body weakens and is not very flexible. This is especially true when using screws, dowels and bolts.

The DE-C-195 27 063 describes a ski in which the ski binding by means of a base / support plate can be attached to the ski. The base / support plate has in width mutually variable jaws, which engages by means of clamping edges in a longitudinal groove and the ski side surfaces and thus can be brought into the locked position. The jaws and guide blocks arranged thereon slide in a guide slot and a guide rail of the base plate according to the ski width. A centering of the base plate and a horizontal clamping action of both jaws takes place by a single screw or nut. The disadvantage of this construction is in particular the use of a separate binding plate to see, through which the bending line of the ski body is significantly affected. Furthermore, the binding plate protrudes on both sides in the transverse direction across the width of the ski body, so that this construction, for example when cornering, especially in connection with carving skis, is disadvantageous because the binding plate gets in contact with the ground.

The DE-C-27 11 199 describes a fastener for a ski binding without the use of fastening screws with mounting jaws, which protrude into the region of the ski side surfaces, in the distance mutually changeable and can be brought into clamping position and at their free ends to the ski directed projections which engage in existing in the ski side surfaces longitudinal grooves , In this construction too, the fastening element projects beyond the width of the ski body, which also has disadvantages with regard to the use of the ski.

The EP-A-0 383 104 refers to a ski with a ski binding, which consists of toe cheeks and a heel holder coupled to this via a connecting link. Toe and heel hold are each mounted on a cross-sectionally U-shaped carriage, are attached to the free leg ends inwardly projecting Flunche, which are mounted in a ski-resistant guide rail. Also in this case, a binding plate is provided, which extends beyond the width of the ski body.

The DE-A-197 53 451 discloses a ski binding attachment system having a ski-associated retention member releasably connected to a binding panel connected to a ski binding. The retaining element is screwed to the ski body and can be connected to the binding plate, for example, by means of a dovetail guide. Due to this construction of the retaining element bolted to the ski body and the connecting plate attached thereto by means of a dovetail joint, the bending line of the ski is substantially influenced.

The present invention has for its object to provide an improved ski, with which the binding assembly is facilitated and at the same time the properties of the ski are not significantly adversely affected. Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved method of bond assembly. These objects are achieved with the features of the claims.

The invention is based on the idea of integrating into the ski body of the ski a Montrageeinrichtung with which the ski binding can be attached directly to the ski. For this purpose, the mounting device is formed in principle in the manner of a binding plate and incorporated into the ski body. Accordingly, the ski according to the invention has all the advantages associated with the use of a binding plate, and has the additional significant advantage that the binding can be mounted directly on the mounting device. For this typically no further aids, such as screws, bolts or dowels are required. The width of the mounting device is in the range of about 50% to 95%, preferably in the range of about 75% to 90% of the smallest width of the ski body. As a result, it is ensured, in particular with carving skis, that no part of the mounting device extends beyond the width of the ski body and thus leads to impairment the driving behavior of the ski leads, for example, by a part of the mounting device comes into contact with the ground.

In a preferred embodiment, the binding of the mounting device is fastened by clamping. According to the invention, the (mounting device has at least one undercut groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski) in an insert, but preferably two mutually parallel grooves, which are open on sides facing away from one another. The integration of the mounting element in the ski body preferably takes place in that a suitable receiving rail is already pressed during the gluing of the ski body or that the core complex of the ski is designed by the incorporation of a suitable material so that a suitable guide groove by subsequent milling (eg in the run ) is created during the production of the ski.

Epoxidprepregs bereitzustellen. The choice of material or the material combination for the mounting device, in particular the part of the mounting device in which the groove is formed, should be chosen so that good sliding properties are provided for the binding to be mounted. In particular, the insert consists of thermosetting plastic thermoplastic material, a fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular glass fiber reinforced plastic, or a plastic-coated metallic material. In some cases, it may be preferable to prepare the guide parts integrated for the mounting device by means of pretreatments, in particular for the bonding, in order to provide an affinity for the epoxy resins or epoxide prepregs typically used in ski construction for a sufficient integration into the ski body.

In the case of a geometric design of the ski body, care should be taken that, on the one hand, the sliding of the binding parts, in particular as a choice with a ski brake and a connecting tongue between the binding parts, is easy to accomplish and, on the other hand, the differential flexural rigidity or bending line of the ski is not significantly adversely affected. This danger is in particular due to the typically required increase in the thickness or height of the ski in the binding mounting area. This is preferably realized by a suitable change in the cross-sectional shape of the ski body along the length of the ski.

The longitudinal fixing of the binding parts (cheek and heel part) is preferably carried out analogously to the binding assembly on conventional binding plates, which allow a free bending or flexing by their integrated guide. This is particularly advantageous in order not to distort the bending of the ski as a result of the arrangement of the binding and the shoe on the ski, that is to say that it does not adversely affect its bending line. In the ski according to the invention all variations of "Free-Flex" are possible as they are known from the corresponding binding plate. For example, the fixation of the jaw part the binding and a free flexing of the heel part via the connecting tongue, with which the jaw part is connected to the heel part possible. Conversely, the heel part can also be attached and the jaw part can move freely. Alternatively, it is also possible to move the cheek and heel part movable and make the longitudinal fixation on the connecting tongue, for example in the middle of the tongue. The fixation of the respective part with respect to possible longitudinal displacements can be realized in a simple manner, for example by latching, clamping, bracing and the like in the guide.

To mount a binding to a ski, a ski according to the invention with a mounting device and a binding unit of an engagement device, which can be brought into engagement with the mounting device, are provided first. Subsequently, the engagement device of the binding and the mounting device of the ski are brought together. Finally, the binding is fixed to the ski by means of the mounting device. The engagement means of the binding preferably has projections which are inserted during the merging in a groove of the mounting device. The fixing of the bond is preferably carried out exclusively by clamping. Preferably, the binding has two binding elements and optionally a ski brake, which are connected to each other by a connecting web.

The in FIG. 1 illustrated ski 2 according to the invention essentially comprises an elongate ski body 4 with a front end 6 and a rear ski end 8, and a mounting device 10, with the help of a substantially consisting of a front binding element 12 and a rear binding element 14 ski binding directly on the ski. 2 can be mounted. The mounting device 10 is integrated into the ski body 4 such that it is sufficiently firmly connected to the ski body 4 to receive the binding elements 12 and 14 and to withstand the loads occurring during use of the ski 2.

According to the illustrated in the figures preferred embodiment of the invention. Skis 2, the mounting device 10 is formed such that the bond 12, 14 pushed from the front end 4 and / or from the rear end 8 of the ski 2 and can be attached thereto preferably by clamping. For this purpose, the binding elements 12, 14 each have on their undersides a substantially cross-sectionally C-shaped engagement device 16, the free ends 18 and 20 of which engage in respective longitudinal grooves 22 and 24 provided on the sides of the mounting device 10.

Breite von etwa 1,5 bis 4, 0 mm, besonders bevorzugt von etwa 2, 0 bis 3,0 mm.The mounting device 10 preferably protrudes beyond the otherwise substantially flat surface 26 of the ski 2 and is typically in the conventional binding mounting region of the ski. According to the spatial representation in FIG. 1 For example, the mounting device 10 has different cross-sectional shapes and / or dimensions along the length of the ski 2 in order to form the most harmonious transition possible from the flat ski surface 26 to the mounting device and to at least largely maintain the optimum bending line of the ski. The length of the mounting device 10 is viewed from the mounting point from each about 250 to 400 mm in each direction, so it has an overall length of about 500 to 800 mm. The height of the ski 2 in the region of the mounting device 10 is preferably in the range between about 12 to 25 mm and may vary along the length of the ski 2. The width of the mounting device 10 is in the range of about 50 to 95%, preferably in the range of about 75 to 90% of the smallest width of the ski body 4. The groove 22 or 24 preferably has a depth of about 2.0 to 5.0 mm, more preferably from about 2.5 to 3.5 mm, and a height or width of about 1.5 to 4, 0 mm, more preferably from about 2, 0 to 3.0 mm.

In the FIGS. 3 and 4 two exemplary embodiments of the ski according to the invention are shown in cross section. According to these illustrations, the ski body 4 essentially comprises a running surface 28, a ski core 30 and a cover layer 32 which extends from the running surface 28 around the ski core 30 from one side of the ski 2 to the other. The ski core 30 is essentially constructed of individual layers glued and pressed together, typically of organic materials (eg wood), with additional inserts 34 and 36 in which the grooves 22 and 24 are formed. Preferably, the ski body 4 further comprises reinforcing layers (not shown) above and / or below the ski core 30, which may be formed of metal, plastic (eg epoxy prepregs), for example. The inserts 34, 36 may extend over part of the height of the ski core, as shown in FIG FIG. 3 is shown, or over the entire height of the core 30, as in FIG. 4 shown. The inserts 34 and 36 - also referred to as guide parts - are made of a thermosetting plastic, thermoplastic, made of a fiber-reinforced plastic, in particular glass fiber reinforced plastic, or of a plastic-coated metallic material to the free ends 18 and 20 of the usually made of metal ( For example, steel) formed engaging means 16 to provide good sliding properties, so that the binding elements 12 and 14 can be moved well along the ski 2.

Epoxidprepregs herzustellen. It should also be taken into account that for a sufficient integration of the inserts 34 and 36 in the ski body under certain circumstances, a pretreatment (eg Verklebevorbehandlung) of the parts to be joined may be required to the necessary affinity for the epoxy resins typically used in ski construction or Epoxidprepregs manufacture.

The inserts or guide parts 34 and 36 can be, for example, prefabricated profile or receiving rails which already have the grooves 22 and 24. When gluing the ski body 4, the rails are mitverpresst, so integrated into the ski body. If the cover layer 32 covers the grooves 22 and 24 completely or partially, it may optionally be removed after the pressing.

According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the ski body 4, which has the inserts 34 and 36 in its core 30 initially without grooves, glued and pressed, and then the guide grooves 22 and 24 are subsequently milled, for example in a pass.

As already stated above, the mounting device 10 is provided in the binding mounting area and is preferably above the surface 26 of the ski 2 upwards. As a result, the bending line of the ski 2 is impaired as little as possible, so that the ski 2 of the invention has a largely optimal bending line. Furthermore, by this arrangement of the mounting device binding on a slightly elevated level, which is particularly helpful for carving skis.

In the middle region of the ski body 4 or the mounting device 10 is preferably a longitudinally extending recess 38 is provided, in which a connecting tongue 40, which connects the two binding elements 12 and 14 preferably at least partially received. According to the illustrations in FIGS. 3 and 4 the connecting tongue 40 in the region of the binding elements 12 and 14 in addition to a portion 42 which lies outside the recess and on a surface 44 of the ski to bring the binding elements 12 and 14 with respect to the tread 28 of the ski 2 higher lying level. In the region between the binding elements 12 and 14, the connecting tongue 40 is preferably located substantially completely within the recess 38.

The inventive design of the ski, in particular the mounting device with the grooves 22 and 24, and the recess 38 and the connecting tongue 40, a free bending or flexing of the ski 2 is possible. As a result, a distortion of the binding shoe system when bending the ski can be avoided. In principle, in the ski 2 according to the invention different variations of the binding mounting are possible, which allow a free bending ("Free-Flex"). For example, the front binding member or jaw member 12 may be fixed and the rear binding member or heel member 14 by the engagement means 16 and the grooves 22 and 24 are movably guided, wherein the two binding elements 12 and 14 are interconnected by the connecting tongue 40 to keep the distance between the two binding elements to one another substantially constant. Similarly, the fixing of the rear binding member or heel member 14 and movable guidance of the front binding member or jaw member 12 using the connecting tongue 40 is conversely possible. Alternatively, it is also possible to fix the connecting tongue 40 to the mounting device 10, so that both binding elements 12 and 14 are mounted in the longitudinal direction displaceable in the grooves 22 and 24. As a result, a free mobility of both the jaw and the heel part is ensured with a bending of the ski The fixation of the respective binding element 12 and 14 and / or the connecting tongue 40 with respect to longitudinal displacement can be done for example by clamping, Verrilung, wedging and similar types of fixation.

The ski 2 according to the invention with integrated mounting device 10 has the particular advantage that a ski binding and optionally a ski brake can be mounted directly on the ski, without the intermediate elements, such as a dowelled or bolted rail system, screws, bolts, binding plates and the like are required. At the same time, the properties of the ski according to the invention, in particular its bending behavior or its bending line, are largely retained, so that a skis with optimum properties are provided at the same time with considerably simplified binding assembly and all the advantages of using a binding plate.
