Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif de maintien et de fixation pour tablette (2), en particulier en verre, sur un meuble, essentiellement constitué sous forme d'un taquet de maintien et de fixation (3) pouvant être fixé sur une infrastructure de support (1) par l'intermédiaire d'une vis de fixation (4) traversant son âme. Dispositif caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une vis de serrage et de maintien (5) coopérant avec un évidemment correspondant (6) de la tablette (2) à maintenir et à fixer. L'invention est plus particulièrement applicable dans le domaine de l'ameublement et plus particulièrement des meubles composés d'éléments démontables à assemblage et démontage rapides, en particulier les meubles du type comportant des tablettes en verre. <IMAGE>

Description

La présente invention concerne le domaine de l'ameublement et plus particulièrement des meubles composés d'éléments démontables à assemblage et démontage rapides, en particulier les meubles du type comportant des tablettes en verre et a pour objet un dispositif de maintien et de fixation pour tablette, en particulier en verre, sur un meuble.
Actuellement, les meubles de ce type comportant des tablettes, en particulier en verre sont généralement réalisés sous forme d'infrastructures métalliques ou en bois ou autres matériaux composites sur lesquelles sont guidées et maintenues une ou plusieurs tablettes en verre.
Les tablettes en verre sont simplement fixées par pincement à l'intérieur de pièces en forme de taquets fixées sur l'infrastructure, la rigidité de l'infrastructure devant assurer entièrement la rigidité du meuble en position assemblée.
En effet, dans le cas d'une réalisation d'un meuble présentant plusieurs tablettes parallèles, l'une des tablettes est généralement posée directement sur des éléments de jonction des pieds de l'infrastructure ou dans des taquets de supports, sans serrage, et au moins l'une des tablettes est pincée dans des taquets de support et de maintien solidarisés avec l'infrastructure au niveau des pieds de celle-ci. Il en résulte que la tablette ainsi pincée doit participer à la rigidité de l'ensemble.
US-A-4 733 843 décrit une telle fixation par pincement d'une tablette. Une telle fixation ne permet pas de faire usage de la rigidité et de la dureté de la tablette pour assurer une résistance suffisante pour éviter un démontage sous l'effet de contraintes de traction importantes.
Par ailleurs, GB-A-808 621 décrit la réalisation de meubles constitués par des tablettes reliées entre elles par l'intermédiaire d'entretoises assurant simultanément l'écartement des tablettes. Une telle construction, qui est largement répandue, ne permet toutefois pas l'obtention de meubles présentant une esthétique épurée, c'est-à-dire dont les éléments formant les pieds s'intègrent de manière esthétique.
Enfin, EP-A-0 407 292 décrit un meuble constitué par des tablettes ou étagères glissées par leurs bords dans des rainures de logement de parois verticales. Dans un tel meuble, les tablettes ou étagères ne participent en aucune manière à la rigidité du meuble.
Or, comme de tels meubles sont souvent destinés à former un support pour un appareillage audio-visuel de poids relativement élevé, il se pose un problème de rigidité de l'ensemble du meuble, en particulier lors d'un déplacement de ce meuble avec sa charge par rippage sur le sol. Un tel déplacement a tendance à favoriser, par traction sur un ou plusieurs pieds, un désassemblage de l'infrastructure par écartement mutuel desdits pieds, la tablette pincée ne permettant pas d'assurer un maintien correct de l'assemblage par retenue de la tablette au moyen des taquets de pincement.
Il en résulte une destruction possible du meuble par décrochement d'une tablette qui tombe alors à l'intérieur de l'infrastructure avec un risque, d'une part de destruction de cette dernière et, d'autre part, d'endommagement de l'appareillage porté par le meuble.
Une rigidification supplémentaire du meuble reste bien évidemment possible, notamment par création de lien rigide près de chaque tablette constitutive du meuble. Cependant, une telle rigidification n'est pas compatible avec la réalisation de meubles de ce type qui doivent généralement présenter une esthétique épurée.
La présente invention a pour but de pallier ces inconvénients en proposant un dispositif de maintien et de fixation pour tablette, en particulier en verre, sur un meuble, permettant un maintien parfait de ladite tablette tout en assurant la rigidité du meuble.
A cet effet, le dispositif de maintien et de fixation pour tablette, qui est essentiellement constitué sous forme d'un taquet de maintien pouvant être fixé sur une infrastructure de support, est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une vis de serrage et de maintien coopérant avec un évidement correspondant de la tablette à maintenir et à fixer, pour améliorer la rigidité de l'assemblage entre ladite tablette et l'infrastructure de support.
L'invention sera mieux comprise, grâce à la description ci-après, qui se rapporte à un mode de réalisation préféré, donné à titre d'exemple non limitatif, et expliqué avec référence au dessin schématique annexé, dont la figure unique est une vue partielle en perspective représentant le dispositif conforme à l'invention.
La figure unique du dessin annexé représente un élément d'ameublement qui est essentiellement constitué par une infrastructure 1 et par au moins une tablette 2 en verre ou analogue, cette tablette 2 étant solidarisée avec l'infrastructure 1 par l'intermédiaire de dispositifs de maintien et de fixation 3, essentiellement constitué chacun sous forme d'un taquet de maintien, à section en étrier. Ces taquets de maintien 3 sont solidarisés avec l'infrastructure 1 par l'intermédiaire de vis de fixation 4 traversant leur âme. Dans le mode de réalisation représenté, l'infrastructure 1 est simplement constituée par quatre pieds d'une table, la tablette en verre 2, ou analogue, formant le dessus de ladite table.
Dans le dessin annexé, et afin de faciliter la compréhension, seul un poteau d'infrastructure est muni d'un dispositif 3, l'autre poteau d'infrastructure étant simplement disposé en face de la tablette 2 en verre ou analogue.
Conformément à l'invention, chaque dispositif 3 de maintien et de fixation pour tablette 2 comporte une vis de serrage et de maintien 5 montée dans une aile du taquet formant le dispositif 3 et coopérant avec un évidement correspondant 6 de la tablette 2 à maintenir et à fixer, pour améliorer la rigidité de l'assemblage entre ladite tablette 2 et l'infrastructure de support 1.
L'évidement 6 prévu sur la tablette 2 au niveau de chaque taquet formant les dispositifs 3 est avantageusement situé à faible distance du bord de ladite tablette 2. La prévision de l'évidement 6 coopérant avec l'extrémité correspondante de la vis 5 permet de réaliser un engagement de la tête de vis 5 dans la matière même constituant la tablette 2, de sorte que lors du serrage de la vis 5, celle-ci pénètre dans l'évidement 6 et forme simultanément un accrochage empêchant un déplacement de la tablette 2 relativement à l'infrastructure 1 et aux dispositifs 3. Cet engagement favorise donc également une amélioration de la tenue de l'assemblage en évitant un écartement des pieds au niveau de la tablette 2, de sorte que cette dernière ne peut pas glisser hors des taquets 3.
L'évidement 6 peut être réalisé sous forme d'un simple trou borgne. Selon un mode de réalisation préférentiel, l'évidement 6 se présente sous forme d'un trou borgne muni d'un téton central 8 destiné à coopérer avec un évidement central 9 de section correspondante de la tête de la vis 5 des taquets 3. Une telle prévision d'un trou borgne 6 avec téton central 8 permet d'augmenter considérablement la résistance à l'arrachement du dispositif.
Selon une autre caractéristique de l'invention, l'évidement 6 peut également être réalisé sous forme d'un perçage débouchant coopérant avec l'extrémité de la vis 5 qui s'appuie alors, en position de serrage contre l'aile opposée du taquet de maintien formant le moyen 3.
Chaque taquet de maintien formant le moyen 3 est avantageusement pourvu, sur son aile opposée à celle pourvue de la vis de maintien et de serrage 5 d'une butée d'appui 7 en matière synthétique. Une telle butée d'appui 7 permet, soit d'absorber partiellement la force de serrage de la tablette 2, soit de former un élément d'appui élastique dans le cas d'utilisation d'une vis de serrage 5 traversant un évidement 6.
La vis de serrage 5 est préférentiellement réalisée en matière synthétique. La prévision de matière synthétique pour la réalisation de la vis 5 permet de garantir que la force de serrage de la tablette 2 sera toujours inférieure à la force maximale admissible pour éviter toute détérioration de la tablette 2 au niveau de l'évidement 6.
Ainsi, il est possible, d'une part, de positionner parfaitement une tablette en verre 2 sur une infrastructure 1 d'un meuble et de réaliser une fixation et un maintien suffisamment solides pour éviter tout désassemblage du meuble ainsi réalisé.
En outre, la coopération de forme entre la vis 5 de chaque dispositif et l'évidement correspondant 6 de la tablette 2 induit la prise en compte de force agissant latéralement sur la vis 5, en soumettant celle-ci à un effort de cisaillement, de sorte qu'une force de serrage et de maintien bien plus importante qu'une force de pincement peut être obtenue. En effet, la force de pincement est uniquement tributaire du coefficient de frottement entre l'extrémité de la vis et la surface de la tablette 2, alors qu'une force de cisaillement prend en considération la section de la vis au droit de l'application de la force.
Grâce à l'invention, il est donc possible de réaliser un dispositif de fixation pour tablette, en particulier en verre, sur un meuble de support constitué d'éléments à assemblage simple, permettant l'obtention d'une excellente rigidité du meuble et garantissant celui-ci contre tout risque de désassemblage accidentel.

Claims (7)

  1. Dispositif de maintien et de fixation pour tablette (2), en particulier en verre, sur un meuble, essentiellement constitué sous forme d'un taquet de maintien et de fixation (3) pouvant être fixé sur une infrastructure de support (1) par l'intermédiaire d'une vis de fixation (4) traversant son âme, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une vis de serrage et de maintien (5) coopérant avec un évidement correspondant (6) de la tablette (2) à maintenir et à fixer, pour améliorer la rigidité de l'assemblage entre ladite tablette (2) et l'infrastructure de support (1).
  2. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'évidement (6) prévu sur la tablette (2) au niveau de chaque taquet ou dispositif (3) est situé à faible distance du bord de ladite tablette (2).
  3. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'évidement (6) est réalisé sous forme d'un simple trou borgne.
  4. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'évidement (6) se présente sous forme d'un trou borgne muni d'un téton central (8) destiné à coopérer avec un évidement central (9) de section correspondante de la tête de la vis (5) du taquet (3).
  5. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'évidement (6) est réalisé sous forme d'un perçage débouchant coopérant avec l'extrémité de la vis (5) qui s'appuie alors, en position de serrage contre l'aile opposée du taquet de maintien formant le moyen (3).
  6. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que chaque taquet de maintien formant le moyen (3) est pourvu, sur son aile opposée à celle pourvue de la vis de maintien et de serrage (5) d'une butée d'appui (7) en matière synthétique.
  7. Dispositif, suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la vis de serrage (5) est réalisée en matière synthétique.
