Description

The subject of the present invention is an article of footwear, in particular of the slipper type and designed more specifically for the practice of a sport such as climbing, dancing, water sports, combat sports, etc.

Such footwear should be light, flexible while providing a perfect foot support and excellent mobility of the ankle.

Climbing shoes in particular are generally made of a low shank, that is to say, stopping below the malleolus and a rubber sole.

Depending on the desired result the slipper is more or less flexible, the stiffness being among others conferred by the sole more or less thick.

The tightening of the boot on the foot so that it fits the shape of it is important for a good touch, contact and maximum sensations regardless of the type of sport practiced.

In general, this clamping is obtained by traditional means of lacing type, tightening strap making a zigzag path on the top of the foot, simple straps provided with self gripping means, or even a simple rod provided with elastic bands at level of the instep and / or upper stem for so-called ballerina slippers for which one seeks a maximum lightness and where one wishes to avoid the risks of untimely loosings related to the use of laces or straps with means self gripping.

In the latter type of construction, the holding of the foot is in fact mainly provided by the material of the rod, the elastic bands being used primarily to facilitate the boot and secondarily to ensure the maintenance of the foot. Moreover, the tightening is not always very homogeneous. FR 1 522 438 it is known a town shoe, heel, with a rod of extensible material, closed structure. Such a shoe does not include clamping means and is also not suitable for sports practice.

Speak WO 99/37176 it is known a sports shoe having an open rod delimiting two clamping quarters can be connected by an elastic means, the whole being covered with a flap connected to the rod or the sole by one or more elastic straps. In this type of construction, the elastic elements are mainly intended to facilitate the introduction of the foot, and this document provides additional means such as velcro, snaps to adjust the foot hold.

The DE 92 14715 provides a clamping system consisting of a central flap connected to a lace, the clamping being performed by a winding system or lever.

The object of the present invention is to provide an article of footwear, slipper type that allows tightening and maintenance of improved foot, while being as light as possible.

This object is achieved in the article of footwear according to claim 1, and in the method of claim 11. Thus, the elastic tightening system extends over almost the entire volume of the foot and allows a uniform and improved improved tightening, improving besides the proprioceptive sensations.

Moreover, it avoids the problems associated with lacing type systems or strap with hook and loop means that are still at risk of being discarded. Finally, this clamping system combines efficiency and lightness.

Anyway, the invention will be better understood and other characteristics thereof will be highlighted with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the attached schematic drawing illustrating by way of non-limiting example two modes of preferred embodiment, and wherein
  • the figure 1 is a perspective view of a climbing shoe according to the invention,
  • the figure 2 is a top view of the stem of the liner of the rod 1 before assembly,
  • the figure 3 is a view similar to the figure 1 with partial tearing at the level of the wrapping,
  • the figure 4 is a sectional view along IV-IV of the figure 3 ,
  • the figure 5 is a view similar to the figure 1 a shoe according to a second embodiment,
  • the figure 6 is a top view of the clamping system of the figure 5 ,
  • the figure 7 is a view similar to the figure 5 with a partial tear of the wrapping,
  • the figure 8 is a sectional view according to VIII-VIII of the figure 7 .

The various figures illustrate the application of the invention to an article of footwear type climbing shoes. Naturally, the invention can also be applied to any slipper-type footwear for which similar or identical problems must be solved.

It can be applied in particular to slippers intended for water sports, combat sports, dance, etc.

As shown in figure 1 , the article of footwear or footwear 1, essentially comprises a closed bottom shank 2 provided with an upper opening 5 and a boot zipper 6, an outer sole 3 and an elastic tightening system 10.

The rod 2 is low, that is to say that it extends below the malleoli not to interfere with the articulation of the ankle. Depending on the case the stem 2 could also be mid-high, that is to say, cover said malleoli without, however, impede the mobility of the ankle.

This rod 2 is preferably a completely elastic material, but nevertheless lightweight such as "LYCRA" ® or neoprene.

The elastic clamping system 10 consists of a central portion 11 extending over the top of the instep and substantially the entire length thereof and a series of branches 12, 13, 14 extending radially from said central portion 11 to the level of the sole 3 of the liner.

As shown particularly in figure 2 , the lower ends of each of the branches 12, 13, 14 are connected together by a semi-peripheral edge 15, on each side / medial side of the liner.

Furthermore, the clamping system preferably comprises on each side / medial side of the liner a rear branch 13 extending towards the heel and a front branch 14 extending towards the toes. Depending on the case, the branches 13, 14 can be provided only on one side. The clamping system is made of an elastic material such as rubber.

Thus, the clamping system 11, 12, 13, 14 constitutes a kind of elastic "cage" completely enveloping the foot at the instep to the direction of the heel and toes, and makes it possible to exert a tightening force improved, homogeneous and uniformly distributed over the entire foot.

Un tel serrage uniformément réparti permet par ailleurs des sensations proprioceptives encore renforcées par l'utilisation d'une tige en matériau(x) élastique(s).Such uniformly distributed clamping also allows proprioceptive sensations further enhanced by the use of a rod of elastic material (s).

Preferably, the central portion 11 of the clamping system comprises a recessed portion or even a hole 16 in the junction zone of the branches 12, 13, 14 to improve the deformability of the assembly and not create overpressure at this level.

The branches 12, 13, 14 may be symmetrical or not depending on the desired effect and for better adaptation to the anatomy of the foot.

According to a preferred embodiment, the elastic clamping system 10 is fixed on the rod 2. This attachment can be effected by any known means 9, such as gluing, welding, overmolding, sewing. It can be fixed only to its central portion 11 and lower 15 at the level of the sole, or over its entire surface, each leg 12, 13, 14 then being fixed on the rod.

The figure 2 illustrates a preferred manufacturing method in which the elastic clamping system 10 is fixed flat on a pre-cut shape of the rod 2. The rod 2 is then shaped in a manner known per se by stroebel sewing assembly 8 to a first of 7 and is glued to the outer sole 3. The assembly is finalized by the introduction of a wrapping 4, that is to say a rubber band or the like surrounding the lower part of the rod 2 at its junction with the outsole 3.

In this embodiment, the clamping system 10 can be made of rubber molded directly on the rod 2. The assembly can also be achieved by high frequency welding. This construction offers the advantage that transparent rubber can be used for the clamping system 10 since the assembly is done without glue.

In any case, the clamping system 10 defines a footwear volume lower than that of the foot to be accommodated, so as to actually exert an elastic clamping force when the foot is placed in the liner.

Advantageously, clamping systems 10 defining different footwear volumes may be used for slippers of the same size to take into account the morphological differences, and in particular instep or thin foot, the feet of different users.

The Figures 5 to 8 illustrate a second embodiment in which the elastic clamping system 10 also constitutes a banding part and in which similar or identical elements will be indicated by identical reference numerals.

In this embodiment, the article of footwear or footwear 1 also consists of a preferably low-lying rod 2 of elastic material, provided with an upper opening 5 and a boot zipper 6, an outer sole 3 and a elastic clamping system 10.

As previously, the elastic clamping system 10 consists of a central portion 11 extending over the top of the instep and a series of branches 12, 13, 14 extending radially from the central portion 11 .

The essential difference compared to the embodiment of the Figures 1 to 4 lies in the fact that the peripheral edge 15 connecting the different branches 12, 13, 14 is much higher and can therefore extend to the mounting point between the rod 2 and the sole 3, while defining a part 4a of the wrapping.

In this type of construction, the clamping system 10 is necessarily applied to the rod 2 once it is assembled with the first mounting 7.

As a result, the clamping system 10 is held on the one hand by its central part 11, and on the other hand by its lower edge 15 fixed in mounting position between the first mounting element 7 and the outer sole plate 3.

The lower edge 15 is therefore also the lateral / medial wrapping of the liner, which provides a certain weight gain.

The slipper is finished, if necessary, by application of two rubber bands respectively before 4b and rear 4c finalizing the wrapping 4.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described hereinafter by way of nonlimiting example, but encompasses all the embodiments covered by the claims.
