Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an access control system and a method for checking the authorization to open a lock in or on a building, with the lock in the Normal state against access by unauthorized persons User is locked, with a reading device, a control device and an actuator that are so interconnected communicate that the actuator the Lock unlocked when the reader is an authorization signal received, with the authorization signal from a Identifier can be transmitted by an authorized User is worn, the identification transmitter and automatically communicate with each other the reading device that the actuating device unlocks the lock, as soon as the authorized user is in a reading area, which extends so far around the barrier that the authorized user can open the lock without being active Locking medium to use.
  • Such access control system and method are known from CA-A-2 121 547 known.
  • the present invention relates to an access control system with a plurality of such access control systems.
  • Such access control systems and equipment are usually used in larger office and corporate complexes. They allow, that people staying in the complex have access exclusively to those areas for which they are authorized are.
  • lock is far in the present context to understand.
  • a lock can accordingly be a door Rolling door or a turnstile that has an interior opposite one Lock outdoor space.
  • a lock can also be a shutter or to be a barrier.
  • the lock can also resources or devices in a building, such as PCs, phones, Dictation machines etc.
  • Locking systems used.
  • the keys are coded, leaving a key usually exclusive access to a particular Office area offers.
  • all keys provide access to common areas within the office complex.
  • This simple Distinguishing possibility can be branched arbitrarily. For example Is it possible that all employees of one Company access to the company premises within an office complex to have. However, only the accountant and the company owner have a key that also gives access to the accounting room granted.
  • Both locking media are passive transponders. These have an antenna coil and one with the antenna coil coupled chip on. By a read signal can be induce a voltage in the antenna coil. The voltage is used by the IC to store an individual stored on it Code to read and modulate to a signal. The modulated signal is then transformed by the induced energy radiated and read by a reader.
  • Such passive transponders can cover distances of a few Centimeters to about 20 to 30 centimeters read become. Consequently, a user must open an access-controlled one Door use the transponder as locking medium. at the clip tac variant, the user must use the key with the Trailer or attachment to a near the door or at the Door self-holding reader, so that the transponder can submit his authorization signal. Also in the case of the iso transponder card the card must be kept close to the reader become.
  • the reading device and the identification transmitter By the automatic communication between the reading device and the identification transmitter "knows" the access control system, whether an authorized user is in front of the lock. If so, the lock is unlocked so that the authorized one User gains access without actively locking media to use.
  • the blocking can be, for example done by a locking bolt and / or by a trap. Alternatively, the blocking can also be done by a door drive respectively.
  • the automatic blocking ensures that the lock not remain unlocked indefinitely after a legitimate User unlocks the lock by means of its identification transmitter Has. Once the lock condition is met, the Lock back to normal, so locked. This prevents unauthorized users after the Access by an authorized user.
  • timeout a definite period of time
  • the access control system has a locker associated with the lock and the lock mechanically closes when a force in the opening direction the lock below a certain threshold lies.
  • This measure ensures that the lock after the access of an authorized person is closed again. In other words, it is not necessary that the legitimate User locks the lock after accessing the lock actively.
  • the Lock a door with a trap and the control is arranged in a door frame and gives the trap to Unlocking free.
