Claims (18)

  7. Information system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the memory areas (5i) of the central information memory (5) are configured to implement standardized input frames, in particular according to an Internet protocol.
  8. Information system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the information control centre has an input interface (9) for connecting to an IP network, in particular the Internet (11), for the formalized external inputting of information into the information memory in order to form the information packets.
  9. Information system according to Claim 8, characterized in that an authentication device (15) for checking authorization in conjunction with an input and/or a billing device (17) for billing for an input into the information memory is assigned to the input interface (9).
  10. Information system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the display control devices (25) have manual or automatic selector means, connected in particular to a signal output of a GPS receiver (29), for selecting one of a plurality of available route-related information packets.
  11. Information system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the display devices are embodied as optical display devices, in particular LCD, plasma or LED display units and/or acoustic transmission devices, in particular loudspeaker or headset arrangements.
  12. Method for displaying information in route-bound, circulating vehicles which implement a traffic network, in particular a scheduled bus network, railway network or flight network, and each have a display device for displaying information and a display control device for controlling display, with the information being stored in an information control centre and being transferred from it to the vehicles, in each case a route-related information packet being stored in a central information memory of the information control centre with a plurality of information packet memory areas, and current assignments between routes of the traffic network and vehicles which serve them being stored in a route memory,
    route-related information packets being each output to vehicles serving a specific route by a transmitter device, connected to the information control centre, of a wire-free communications arrangement,
    in each case a route-related information packet which is predetermined for this vehicle being received by receiver devices of the wire-free communications arrangement in the vehicles and this information packet being conditioned by the display control device in the vehicle and its, in particular sequential, display which is distributed over the travel time being controlled on the display device,
    characterized in that
    the quantity and/or duration of information displays in a predetermined time period is registered by a registration device (33) of the display control device (25), in which case the registration result thereof can be read out from the information control centre.
  13. Method according to Claim 12, characterized in that the contents of the respect information packet are displayed in a sequence which is selected as a function of the direction of travel when the route is being served by the vehicle.
  14. Method according to Claim 12 or 13, characterized in that one of a plurality of information packets which are buffered in the vehicle is selected manually or automatically as a function of the specific route.
  15. Method according to one of Claims 12 to 14, characterized in that the individual contents of a route-related information packet are displayed as a function of the position of the vehicle when the route is served.
  16. Method according to one of Claims 12 to 15, characterized in that the central information memory of the information control centre is supplied externally with information, in particular advertising information, in particular via an input interface, for connecting to an IP network.
  17. Method according to Claim 16, characterized in that the external supplying of the central information memory with information is permitted as a function of authentication and/or the collection of a fee.
  18. Method according to one of Claims 12 to 17, characterized in that the information packets comprise advertising information and/or location-related and/or traffic-network-related information as text information, video information and/or audio information.
