Description

The invention relates to an expandable barrier on wheels made by assembling pivotable modular elements deployable and foldable manually.

We already know a barrier rhombus barrier on guide wire for roads, urban or pedestrian described in the document FR 2,688,244 . This barrier has the following disadvantages: it is made of anti-corrosion treated steel, so it is very heavy to handle. It is maneuvered on a guide wire stretched between two fixed points, by at least one cable on which it is immobilized; this cable is towed by a mechanical system with manual winch, semi-automatic or automatic. It is not detailed mechanism to deploy it, but only to fold it except in Figure 5 having a cable system not described, with a return loop in a guide rail for fixed installations. To open the passage, pull with a cable puller. It is not mentioned that it is necessary to remove the cable or cables that prevent access when the barrier is folded and obstruct the passage of pedestrians or vehicles and how to remove them to release access very quickly. Similarly to close the access is mentioned a not shown cable puller. The cables must be manually re-attached, tensioned before deploying the barrier. The barrier is immobilized not between the fixed points, but on the cable at each end by cable clamps. Loosen the cable clamps on the side of the winch to be able to fold the barrier. These various means are complicated, very expensive and very slow to maneuver. Given its outdoor uses, subjected to bad weather, it is expected to suffer shocks that will each represent a rust. It has dangerous angles for the pedestrians it is responsible for channeling. It does not include means of adaptation taking into account the sidewalks or irregularities of the ground of the sites on which it must be deployed, it remains suspended on its cable. It does not have deployment limit security that is left to the initiative of the one who puts it in place with the cable ties.

This barrier is cumbersome, complicated, and requires very expensive means for setting up its deployment and for folding and transporting it in the case of temporary installations.

  • pouvoir réaliser une barrière légère mais robuste, déployable et repliable manuellement rapidement, préférablement par une seule personne;
  • pouvoir limiter positivement son déploiement pour empêcher son allongement au-delà de sa limite de bonne stabilité latérale;
  • pouvoir accroître sa stabilité latérale et surtout sa résistance au renversement, particulièrement pour les grandes longueurs;
  • pouvoir conserver un bon appui au sol sur toute sa longueur même sur sol inégal (passage de trottoirs) pour conserver sa stabilité latérale sans la faire travailler à la torsion;
  • pouvoir la verrouiller sur ses points fixes à ses deux extrémités pour éviter que quiconque puisse l'ouvrir sans autorisation;
  • pouvoir résister à la corrosion même en cas de chocs en cours de manipulations;
  • éviter les angles saillants dangereux pour les personnes circulant à proximité;
The problems to be solved to realize a light barrier deployable and foldable quickly manually and easy to transport and implement on the sites of use are the following:
  • be able to achieve a light but robust barrier, deployable and foldable manually quickly, preferably by one person;
  • be able to positively limit its deployment to prevent its elongation beyond its limit of good lateral stability;
  • be able to increase its lateral stability and especially its resistance to overturning, especially for long lengths;
  • ability to maintain good ground support throughout its length even on uneven ground (sidewalks) to maintain its lateral stability without making it work with torsion;
  • be able to lock it on its fixed points at both ends to prevent anyone from opening it without authorization;
  • ability to resist corrosion even in the event of shocks during handling;
  • avoid sharp angles that are dangerous for people traveling nearby;
  • be able to make the barrier visible at night, even in the event of a power failure.

Tous ces problèmes sont résolus avec la barrière extensible sur roulettes selon la revendication 1, la barrière extensible renforcée latéralement selon la revendication 7 et la barrière sur patins selon la revendication 19, la dite barrière étant constituée d'éléments modulaires pivotants entre eux en alliage léger traité anti-corrosion tous identiques, chacun comportant deux branches verticales en forme de X pivotant sur une tige en leur centre et à leurs extrémités sur l'élément suivant, la rendant déployable et repliable manuellement; les éléments d'extrémités de la barrière sont munis chacun de moyens de fixation, préférablement verrouillables, chacun sur un point fixe correspondant pour son immobilisation en position déployée entre lesdits points fixes solidaires du site ou rapportés sous forme d'un poteau métallique ancrés provisoirement ou définitivement sur celui-ciAll these problems are solved with the expandable barrier on wheels according to claim 1, the laterally reinforced expandable barrier according to claim 7 and the skid barrier according to claim 19, said barrier consisting of modular elements pivoting among themselves of light alloy. anti-corrosion treated all identical, each having two vertical branches X-shaped pivoting on a rod in their center and at their ends on the next element, making it deployable and foldable manually; the end elements of the barrier are each provided with fastening means, preferably lockable, each on a corresponding fixed point for its immobilization in the deployed position between said fixed points integral with the site or reported in the form of a metal pole provisionally anchored or definitely on this one

Its two ends alternatively each end with a special modular element formed of a normal half Vee pivoting triangle element provided at its pivoting end, at least one fastening means on the corresponding fixed point of the site.

Its deployment limiting means between two points of attachment of the site is constituted by at least one chain tensioned between two successive modular elements or by two identical links articulated between it and between two central pivots of two modular elements X successive. Each of its wheels is fixed on the end of a sliding rod in a tube integral with the corresponding modular element, having a high stop defining the normal retracted position of each of the wheels, the low position, variable depending on the level of the site, being maintained by a self-locking means on the rod holder wheel in both the low position and high position, which allows to press on uneven ground on any its length.

For long barriers requiring greater lateral stability, the reinforcement of this stability is obtained by means of the assembly of modular elements comprising two vertical branches in the form of X pivoting in their center, whose two branches of a same side are extended one step beyond the end of the branches of the normal module, said extended legs having a fourth pivot at their extended end for attachment to the next identical module or a special end module. When constituted by the assembly of modular elements with reinforced lateral stability, its special end modules comprise a branch of the normal modular element cooperating with a branch of the special modular element so that said branches of this special modular element end on the same vertical plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said barrier, the free end of the branch of the normal module pivoting on a short branch also pivoting at the end of the extended branch of the preceding modular element, said ends being each provided with fastening means with or without locking on the fixed part of the site for the immobilization of said barrier.

As a variant, its two special end modules comprise two branches of the normal modular element cooperating with a branch of the special module and a short branch of the length of a pitch so as to form an end triangle provided with a fixing means on a fixed point of the site, the other end of said reinforced barrier being symmetrical or identical to the other.

Bars are fixed between two portions of this profile which has holes for passing the pivot rods fixed thereto.

The secondary branches of the modular elements are constituted by two portions of a U-shaped section comprising means for clipping a cover. This section is pierced with fixing holes of the bars and, in line with the joints, comprises a punched hole for the passage of a bar in which the pivot rod passes.

The bars are of rectangular section with rounded corners, the middle of the inner face of its two short sides has a fixing alveovis by means of four screws between the profiles.

Pivoting of the secondary branches of the modular elements between the profiles of the main branches provided with their bars, is effected by means of a rod engaged in the corresponding holes of said profiles, nuts locks on the two profiles of the main branch leaving stay a slight game to allow the secondary branch to rotate easily.

Les extrémités des branches secondaires comportent un système de patin escamotable d'appui au sol muni d'un moyen d'immobilisation rapide en position repos ou d'appui au soLThe ends of the secondary branches comprise a retractable foot support system provided with a means of rapid immobilization in the rest position or of support to the soil.

The barriers are made by assembling as many normal or special modular elements X, as necessary with their end members having their fastening means that can be lockable by padlock or lock.

Their transport and their provisional placement on a site, when it must be of great length, is carried out in several folded sections, easily loadable on a truck with a forklift. The sections are assembled together by connecting plates made integral with closure parts of the profiles of the main branches, extended to the outside by a plate pierced with a large hole in which is engaged a shoulder pin locked by the buckle. a padlock.

On montrera fig. FIGS. 1 and 2 show, seen in perspective and seen from above, the example of modular elements 1 hinged at 2 in the form of X to form, when assembled, an extensible barrier according to the invention of any length, at the request of users. The details of its method of construction are presented in figs. 16 to 22. It comprises on one side, on the module 1A, two identical means 3, 4 for fixing on the site equipped with lockable complementary means. Its special end module 5, in the form of a triangle said V-swiveling at 6, has a single means 7 for fixing on the site, identical to the means 3,4. In the case where one would desire increased stability of the barrier by giving it a high anti-rollover resistance, one can add a lower means 8 identical to the others 3, 4, 7. It will be shown FIG. 27 a preferential mode of fixing the end modules on the site. Each modular element has two swivel castors 10, 11, arranged in opposition at the bottom to easily deploy and fold the barrier. Each modular element comprises in the upper part, a handrail 12. Each simple or reinforced modular element as well as the special end modular elements are constituted by two branches 14,15 of different height, the secondary branch 15 pivoting inside of the main branch 14. The branch 14 comprises two profiles 16 between which are fixed profiles 17 called bars. The profile 12 of handrail is clipped onto the profile 16. The bars 18 of the branch 15 are shorter than those 17 of the branch 14. The branch 15 is constituted by two identical sections 20 between which are fixed by crimping the bars 18 The details of the pivoting ends 6 will be seen fig. 22 and 28.

Figures 3 and 4 schematically show a top view of a barrier variant consisting of modular elements 1 pivoting X and special modular elements 5 V end pivot to a single attachment 4, 7 cooperating with the means complementary of the site. FIG. 3 shows the modular elements 1 separated before assembly, terminated by two V elements 5 and assembled as in FIG. 4. The function of the chain 22 of FIG. 5 is to limit the deployment of the barriers terminated by two special modular elements in FIG. vee.

Figures 6 and 7 schematically show a top view of a barrier variant consisting of modular elements 1 with two fasteners 3, 4 on one side on the element 1A and a single attachment 7 on the element 5 Vee the other extremity. The attachment 3,4 of the element 1A ensure the self-limitation of the deployment of the barrier, even if at the other end it is terminated by a modular element 5 Vee.

FIGS. 8 and 9 schematically show a top view of a barrier variant consisting of unassembled X-shaped modular elements 1, whose end elements 1A comprise at least two fasteners 3, 4 at each end on fixed points. of the site. Fig. 9 show assembled modular elements stretched between the fixed points of the site S1, S2.

Figures 10 and 11 show seen in perspective and seen from above, show an example of identical identical modular elements 25 of a constitution of a laterally reinforced extensible barrier according to the invention having on each side a special modular element Vé 26 left and 27 on the right each provided, at their articulation, a fixing means 4, 7 between two fixed points of the site S1 and S2. These reinforced modular elements each comprise a portion or branch extended a step 29 on the same side and finished by a 4-th pivot. The modular element 26 of left end Vee comprises a branch 30 with two steps (the step being the distance between two pivots of the same branch, all the steps being identical for the same barrier) and a branch 31 of a not only pivoting between them, the branch 31 having a fixing means 4 on the site S1. The following modular element 28 is special because it comprises a normal branch 33 with three steps and its second branch 34 with two steps, the pivot 35 X being located on the first step. These reinforced modular elements are constituted, at the extra step, in the same way as the modular elements of unreinforced barriers. The modular element 27 of the second end is different from its opposite 26 in that it comprises an additional branch with two steps and three pivots assembling with the next normal element 25.

Figures 12 and 13 show seen from above, another example of modular elements of constitution of a laterally reinforced extensible barrier according to the invention having on each side a double attachment 3, 4 between two fixed points of the site S1 and S2 increasing its resistance to reversal. It consists of assembling the number of normal modular elements necessary to obtain the defined length of the barrier and terminated at its two ends by two symmetrical modular elements 40 and 41 each consisting of a normal three-step branch 33, a branch 30 with two steps and a branch 31 at a not articulated on the branch 30. Figure 13 shows the different modular elements assembled together to form the barrier. It can be seen from this figure that when the ends 40, 41 of this reinforced barrier are fixed in two or four points on each side on fixed parts of the site, this barrier, even very long, is not reversible.

FIGS. 14 and 15 show, seen from above, an exemplary variant of normal modular elements 25 constituting a laterally reinforced extensible barrier according to the invention, comprising on each side end elements 26 and 27 fixed between two fixed points S1, S2 of the site and the barrier thus assembled fig. 15. For barriers of this type, it is preferable to have at least one module 40 or 41 at one of its ends to benefit from its anti-rollover capability and better yet, to have modular end elements. four-point fixation on each side on a wall or posts anchored to the site.

FIGS. 16 and 17 show an example of an inverted U-shaped rail profile 12 comprising two fins 45 acting as a clipping abutment of a profile 16 on which the profile 12 is designed to engage and lock by deformation resilient by means of two clipping bosses 46 on the corresponding sloping portions 47 of the profile 16. This profile 16 is also U-shaped, the upper portion 48 of the vertical wings is sloped inwardly to facilitate engagement bosses 46 of clipping on the angles 47. The core 48 is pierced, at right angles to the branches of the modular elements and in its longitudinal axis, holes 49 for passage of the articulation rods (see Fig.1 and 17). ).

Figures 18 and 19 show, in section, examples of profiles 20 fig. 18 and its hood 50 fig. 19 (see Fig. 1). These sections constitute the secondary branch 15 of the modular barrier elements. The profile 20 is U-shaped with the free end 5 of the wings bent at right angles inwards and then bent again at 52 at right angles upwards each ending with a clipping boss 53; the lower corners 54 are either rounded or broken. The cover 50 is also inverted U-shaped, the short and thinned wings 55 end with a clipping boss 56 complementary to those of the profile 20. The core 57 of the profile 20 (FIG 18) is pierced with through holes bars (Figures 20 and 28) which are then crimped and, in line with the pivots, comprises a punched hole for the passage of a bar 15 in which the hinge pin passes.

Figure 20 shows the section of the vertical bars 17 constituting, with the profiles 16, 12, 20 and 50, the two main and secondary branches of the various modular elements. This profile 17 is of rectangular section with 61 rounded corners. The middle of its two inner faces comprises an alveovis 60 allowing its attachment between the high and low profiles 16 (fig.23).

Figure 21 shows the bar 17 of Fig.20 in the upper and lower ends of which there is inserted a bearing 64 of plastic in which the rod pivots.

Figure 22 shows an example, seen in section, of the pivots of the barrier. The profiles 16 (see FIG. 1) of the branches 14 and the sections 20 and 50 of the branches 15 are recognized. Bars 17 (not shown) are fixed between the sections 16 defining their horizontal position; the rod 65 is engaged in the corresponding holes of the profiles, the nuts 66, 67 having been put in place and approached against the sections 16 at the same time as well as the washers 68 and 69 leaving a slight clearance between nuts 66, 67 and washers 68 , 69 to allow the limb 15 to pivot smoothly on the bearings 64 of the rod 65. The flat washers 70 and the lock washers 71 are placed on the threaded ends of the rod 65 and the nuts 72 are locked on their immobilizing washer the stem 65 on the main branch.

Figure 23 shows an example of fixing a bar 17 between two sections 16 or 20 constituting the branches 14 and 15 of the various modular elements. Fixing is performed by means of four self-tapping screws 75 engaged in the through-holes of the profiles and screwed into the alveovis 60 of the bars. This method of attachment significantly increases the resistance to longitudinal deformation of the barrier during the opening and closing maneuvers. The bars can also be crimped as will be shown in Figure 28.

FIG. 24 shows an example, seen in section, of a removable ground support pad system mounted at each outer pivot of the barrier so as to make up for the unevenness of the site or the sidewalk passages. It comprises a tubular sheath 80 in which a rod 81 slides vertically on a shoulder 82 and on a lower bearing 83. A bearing pad 84 is fixed on the lower end of the rod 81. A compression spring is disposed in support between the bearing 83 and the shoulder 82. A locking lever 86, articulated at 87 on the support of the system, has a hole slightly larger than the diameter of the shoe pin, the edge of the hole blocks the latter. high or low position pushed by a spring 88. The system is removably mounted on an end bar and abuts on the end of the lower section 20. To lower the pad resting on the ground, it pushes on the upper end 89 of the rod 81 in the direction of the arrow 90 by compressing the spring 85, at the same time that it releases the self-locking lever 86 by pushing down through the hole 91. To lock the pad on the ground, simply release the which sticks on the rod 81 under the effect of the spring 88. To raise the pad to its rest position, is pressed on the lever 86 which has the effect of releasing the rod 81 which rises in abutment under the action 85. In exhibitions where the floor is carpeted, the barriers are generally not locked, they do not have wheels but rest on wider skids that can slide on the carpet.

FIG. 25 shows an example diagrammatically seen from above, of a long barrier according to the invention, consisting of several sections 90, 91, 92 to be assembled on the site by means of locks 93.

Figure 26 shows an example of means for fixing and locking two barrier sections between them. The normal part 95 closing the end of each of the profiles 16 vis-à-vis is extended outwardly by a plate 96 pierced with a large hole 97. A connecting plate 98 is secured to the one of the closure pieces 95 by means of a bolt 99 whose nut 100 is crimped for example by three needle strokes at 120 °. Fixing is provided by a shouldered rod engaged in the holes of the other piece 96 and the plate 98, however, a padlock 102 and engaged in a hole 103 drilled in the end of the rod 101 prohibiting unauthorized opening.

Figure 27 shows an example, seen in elevation, lockable fixing of the end of a barrier 105 on a metal post 106 anchored provisionally or permanently on the site. The closure piece 95 is engaged in a yoke 107 in which the rod 101 is engaged and locked by a padlock 102. The yoke 107 is extended by a threaded rod 108 engaged for example in a hole in the web 109 of the U-shaped post or H or a metal plate 109 secured to a wall or the like. This rod 108 is locked on said plate after adjusting the position of the yoke relative to the barrier by means of four nuts 110 after interposition of each side of the plate 109 of conical washers 111 for damping the forces exerted on the barrier.

Figure 28 shows, seen in perspective, the pivoting detail of a secondary branch on the end pivot of a main branch of the modular elements of the barrier according to the invention. The reference numbers of the preceding figures have been used for the same organs. This figure makes it possible to better understand the assembly of the main and secondary branches on their pivot. We also see the mounting of the bars 17 between the profiles 16 of the main branch 14 and the profiles 18 crimped at the top and bottom 115, 116 in the profiles 20 up and down of the secondary branch 15. The bar 15 can also be crimped, but it is not necessary since it is in abutment on each side on the corresponding fins of the profiles 20 and it receives two bearings 64 of the pivot rod 65.

The spaces between the bars 17 and 18 of the barrier can be closed by various means such as cladding sheet, corrugated sheet, opaque plastic panels, transparent or translucent, laminated glass or light alloy. These closure means may be perforated except the glass. These various closure means can be inserted into seals embedded in small standard U-shaped profiles, anti-corrosion treated, fixed on the short sides of the bars. These panels can receive advertising displays.
