Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of snow sliding sports. It is more specifically a shoe for the practice of snowboarding. It relates more particularly to arrangements provided inside the boot to facilitate the movements of orientation of the leg relative to the board.
- the leg has a certain freedom of inclination relative to the plane of the board.
- the movement of the knee inwards results, because of the articulation of the ankle, by a modification of the inclination of the foot. This general movement is usually called “rolling" motion.
- This inclination of the leg inward is done differently depending on the type of shoe used.
- soft shoes in association with a binding comprising straps holding the foot, and a rear gutter making it possible to take support towards the rear.
- This kind of fixation allows a slight movement of the shoe inside the straps by transverse sliding of the sole on the base of the binding.
- shoes whose sole is more rigid because it has fastening members on the binding. This sole is pressed on the upper face of the board, or on the base of the binding. In this case, no transverse movement of the shoe is allowed, unlike the other type of attachment mentioned above.
- the problem that the invention proposes to solve is that of allowing a tilt of the leg and thus a pivoting of the foot within the lower part of the boot, while maintaining the firm attachment of the sole of the shoe relative to to the board.
- This rigid insert has support points located at its median longitudinal plane, so that when the user exerts efforts on one side of the foot, this insert pivots around its support points relative to the hull. , causing a transverse inclination of the foot. In this way, the forces exerted by the user can be located either on the inside or the outer side of the shoe.
- This technique is not transferable to the snowboarding field, since it concerns a shoe eminently rigid, while the shoes used in the field of surfing are the opposite particularly flexible, to allow lateral movement of the leg.
- the solutions described in the aforementioned documents relate only to a transverse inclination of the foot, the leg remaining in the same vertical plane due to the rigidity of the upper part of the shoe.
- the document EP 0 743 023 describes a surf shoe that is arranged to facilitate foot flexion movements around the ankle, when tilting the leg.
- this shoe has a compressible area at the heel, which allows the pivoting of the latter and good bending of the ankle.
- two compressible zones located on either side of the sole allow flexion movements.
- the problem solved by the invention is that of providing both a firm grip and a firm anchoring of the boot with respect to the surfboard, while allowing a transverse inclination capacity of the leg and foot relative to to the sole of the shoe and without weakening or complicating the structure of the sole of the shoe.
- the invention therefore relates to a shoe for the practice of snowboarding.
- a shoe for the practice of snowboarding.
- such a shoe has a flexible boot inside which is set up a removable boot, used for its qualities of comfort, the flexible boot being designed to ensure a seal and a closed anchorage on the board.
- the sole of the liner has the characteristics defined in the characterizing part of claim 1.
- the sole of the liner has a hardness greater than that it has in the peripheral lateral zones, so that when the user exerts a support on one side of the foot, the peripheral zone crushes, while the central part of the sole of the liner does not deforms that very little. This deformation does not involve in any case the sole of the outer boot which remains firmly anchored to the board.
- the central portion of the sole of the slipper as for it provides a pivot effect that facilitates and promotes this movement.
- the sole of the boot which, in its upper part, has the characteristics of the characteristic part of claim 2.
- the upper part of the sole of the boot we mean the portion that receives the contact of the shoe, as opposed to the portion of the sole that seals and comes into contact with the ground.
- the lateral zones situated on either side of the more rigid zone may have similar or different mechanical properties, and more precisely identical or different compressibility. In the case where they are different, it may be preferred that the zone located on the inner side of the foot has the greatest compressibility. Indeed, it is more generally observed transverse movements of the leg oriented inward.
- the region of lower compressibility located in the central part of the sole of the boot or boot, has at least in its front part, areas of lesser hardness, s extending transversely, so as to encourage the unwinding of the foot when walking.
- the central part of the shoe which has greater rigidity than the lateral areas remains deformable at the zones of lesser hardness characteristic, so as to match the curvature of the foot, including its front, at the level of the metatarsophalangeal joint during the walking movement.
- these areas of lesser hardness can be formed by transverse grooves in which material is removed. It can also be solid areas filled with a relatively deformable material. Slits or transverse cuts, open downwards can fulfill the same function.
- the region of lesser compressibility of the sole of the bootie or the boot can be divided into two branches extending on either side of the plumb of the calcaneus.
- the sole area of the liner or boot directly above the calcaneus remains relatively compressible, and is at least partially surrounded by a more rigid region, defining a housing for the end of the calcaneus.
- the heel through which a significant portion of the vertical forces is transmitted, remains supported by a relatively compressible zone, which confers a certain comfort to the user.
- the housing thus formed for the heel ensures a lateral positioning thereof which can be useful in the "rolling" movements corresponding to the transverse inclination of the foot. In other words, the heel thus slightly maintained remains in the axis of the foot, which ensures a good transmission of efforts.
- the sole of the boot or boot can be made of two different plastics obtained by overmolding or assembly / bonding or thermocompression. These plastics may be of different Shore hardnesses, or preferably foams whose densities are different or variable, and therefore lower in the side portions of greater compressibility.
- the sole of the liner may also incorporate an additional element added forming an insert in its thickness.
- This sole can be for example overmolded on the stem part of the rest of the bootie, or alternatively be manufactured independently, and bonded to the lower part of the boot, in a traditional way.
- the invention relates to a surf shoe, as illustrated in FIG. figure 1 .
- a shoe (1) essentially comprises a boot flexible (2) whose sole (3) comes into contact with the board either directly or through the base of a fastener.
- This attachment ensures a firm anchoring and almost without play of the sole (3) on the board.
- the attachment cooperates with one or more organs located under or in the sole, on one side of the latter, or even on another part of the shoe.
- it may be a metal plate (4) extending transversely under the sole (3) of the shoe, at the level of the arch.
- bindings can, in an advantageous form but which is not mandatory, operate according to a principle commonly known as “step'in", allowing automatic donning without the user having to actuate the hooking means manually after putting in place the shoe precisely in relation to the binding.
- the shoe (1) illustrated in figure 1 comprises inside the flexible boot a removable boot (5) which provides comfort functions, being for example made of a thermally insulating material and relatively soft to the contact.
- this removable boot (5) has a sole (6) having a specific configuration. More specifically, and as illustrated in figure 2 , this sole has around its median longitudinal plane (7) an area (8) of lower compressibility. This lower compressibility is appreciated in view of the compressibility of the lateral zones (9, 10) located on either side of this zone (8). These lateral zones (9, 10) are intended to receive the supports of the foot, especially in the front part, and at the level of the phalanges of the lateral fingers.
- the front part of the less compressible central zone (8) has three transverse grooves (11, 12, 13) facilitating the deformation of the front of this zone (8) in a vertical plane passing through the median longitudinal plane (7). ). This deformability is useful to follow the course of the foot joint, including the metatarsophalangeal joint during walking movements.
- the foot (20) rests on the sole (6) bearing on both the relatively compressible side areas (9, 10) and the central area (8) of lower compressibility.
- This sole (6) rests on the sole (3) of the outer boot which rests itself on the board (15) directly as in the illustrated form, or via the base of a binding in other forms not illustrated.
- This pivoting corresponds to the movement induced by the inclination of the leg on the inner side.
- the sole (6) of the deformable liner comprises a zone (16) relatively compressible at the level of the calcaneal plumb.
- This compressible zone (16) is surrounded at least partially by extensions (17, 18) of the rear part of the more compressible central zone (8).
- These extensions (17, 18) are of less compressibility than the zone (16) above the heel, so that they define a housing in which the heel can be inserted.
- This housing (19) is illustrated at figure 5 .
- This area (16) above the heel is compressed when the forces are exerted vertically by the user.
- the inscription of the heel in the housing (19) thus prevents the heel from shifting too far laterally and thus keeps the foot in the axis of the shoe, despite the slight movements that allows the soft shoe.
- the zone (16) above the heel is made of the same material as the lateral zones (9, 10) located on either side of the median longitudinal plane (7). This area directly above the heel is directly connected to the lateral zones (9, 10). However, in non-illustrated variants, the area above the heel could be totally circumscribed by an area of greater rigidity, thus defining a quasi-circular housing.
- the central area of lower compressibility can be interrupted between the front part and the rear part of the foot, so that the area of lower compressibility surrounding the plumb heel is independent of the portion of lower compressibility located at the front of the sole.
- this central edge is part of a component (22) which also comprises the compressible areas (27,28), but the invention also covers the non-illustrated variant in which the central edge is constituted by a rib protruding formed in the outsole (24).

Description
The invention relates to the field of snow sliding sports. It is more specifically a shoe for the practice of snowboarding. It relates more particularly to arrangements provided inside the boot to facilitate the movements of orientation of the leg relative to the board.
In general, for the practice of snowboarding, it is desirable to be able to benefit from a very good transmission of the forces between the user's foot and the board. This good transmission generally involves the use of fasteners ensuring a solid and effective solidarity of the sole of the boot relative to the upper face of the board. A very wide variety of this type of fasteners has already been proposed, ensuring a firm attachment or mechanical anchoring of the sole or more generally of the shoe on the board.
Ce mouvement général est habituellement appelé mouvement de "rolling".For some surfing practices, it is also necessary that the leg has a certain freedom of inclination relative to the plane of the board. In particular, it may be useful to be able to tilt the leg inwards, to shift the weight of the body relative to the position of the feet. The movement of the knee inwards results, because of the articulation of the ankle, by a modification of the inclination of the foot. This general movement is usually called "rolling" motion.
This inclination of the leg inward is done differently depending on the type of shoe used. Thus, it is possible to use soft shoes, in association with a binding comprising straps holding the foot, and a rear gutter making it possible to take support towards the rear. This kind of fixation allows a slight movement of the shoe inside the straps by transverse sliding of the sole on the base of the binding. It is also possible to use shoes whose sole is more rigid, because it has fastening members on the binding. This sole is pressed on the upper face of the board, or on the base of the binding. In this case, no transverse movement of the shoe is allowed, unlike the other type of attachment mentioned above.
The problem that the invention proposes to solve is that of allowing a tilt of the leg and thus a pivoting of the foot within the lower part of the boot, while maintaining the firm attachment of the sole of the shoe relative to to the board.
This rigid insert has support points located at its median longitudinal plane, so that when the user exerts efforts on one side of the foot, this insert pivots around its support points relative to the hull. , causing a transverse inclination of the foot. In this way, the forces exerted by the user can be located either on the inside or the outer side of the shoe. This technique is not transferable to the snowboarding field, since it concerns a shoe eminently rigid, while the shoes used in the field of surfing are the opposite particularly flexible, to allow lateral movement of the leg. The solutions described in the aforementioned documents relate only to a transverse inclination of the foot, the leg remaining in the same vertical plane due to the rigidity of the upper part of the shoe.
Moreover, the use of such an insert significantly increases the height of the shoe, while in the practice of surfing, it is preferable to have the foot closest to the board for efforts to be transmitted most effectively .
To do this, this shoe has a compressible area at the heel, which allows the pivoting of the latter and good bending of the ankle. When the user is in support on the front of the foot, two compressible zones located on either side of the sole allow flexion movements.
The problem solved by the invention is that of providing both a firm grip and a firm anchoring of the boot with respect to the surfboard, while allowing a transverse inclination capacity of the leg and foot relative to to the sole of the shoe and without weakening or complicating the structure of the sole of the shoe.
The invention therefore relates to a shoe for the practice of snowboarding. In known manner, such a shoe has a flexible boot inside which is set up a removable boot, used for its qualities of comfort, the flexible boot being designed to ensure a seal and a closed anchorage on the board.
According to the invention, the sole of the liner has the characteristics defined in the characterizing part of
Thus, when the user tilts his leg inward, this movement is transmitted by the articulation of the ankle on the foot, and more specifically on the front part of the foot. This movement is therefore reflected by a transverse inclination of the foot and more precisely the front of the foot relative to the plane of the board. This transverse slope is made possible because the peripheral zones of the sole of the liner are more easily compressible.
The central portion of the sole of the slipper as for it provides a pivot effect that facilitates and promotes this movement.
In an equivalent variant embodiment, it may be provided that it is a component of the sole of the boot which, in its upper part, has the characteristics of the characteristic part of
In practice, the lateral zones situated on either side of the more rigid zone may have similar or different mechanical properties, and more precisely identical or different compressibility. In the case where they are different, it may be preferred that the zone located on the inner side of the foot has the greatest compressibility. Indeed, it is more generally observed transverse movements of the leg oriented inward.
According to another characteristic of the invention, it can be provided that the region of lower compressibility, located in the central part of the sole of the boot or boot, has at least in its front part, areas of lesser hardness, s extending transversely, so as to encourage the unwinding of the foot when walking. In other words, the central part of the shoe, which has greater rigidity than the lateral areas remains deformable at the zones of lesser hardness characteristic, so as to match the curvature of the foot, including its front, at the level of the metatarsophalangeal joint during the walking movement.
In practice, these areas of lesser hardness can be formed by transverse grooves in which material is removed. It can also be solid areas filled with a relatively deformable material. Slits or transverse cuts, open downwards can fulfill the same function.
According to another characteristic of the invention, in the area of the heel, the region of lesser compressibility of the sole of the bootie or the boot can be divided into two branches extending on either side of the plumb of the calcaneus. In other words, the sole area of the liner or boot directly above the calcaneus remains relatively compressible, and is at least partially surrounded by a more rigid region, defining a housing for the end of the calcaneus.
Thus, the heel, through which a significant portion of the vertical forces is transmitted, remains supported by a relatively compressible zone, which confers a certain comfort to the user. The housing thus formed for the heel ensures a lateral positioning thereof which can be useful in the "rolling" movements corresponding to the transverse inclination of the foot. In other words, the heel thus slightly maintained remains in the axis of the foot, which ensures a good transmission of efforts.
In practice, the sole of the boot or boot can be made of two different plastics obtained by overmolding or assembly / bonding or thermocompression. These plastics may be of different Shore hardnesses, or preferably foams whose densities are different or variable, and therefore lower in the side portions of greater compressibility. The sole of the liner may also incorporate an additional element added forming an insert in its thickness.
This sole can be for example overmolded on the stem part of the rest of the bootie, or alternatively be manufactured independently, and bonded to the lower part of the boot, in a traditional way.

Of course, many other forms of fasteners can be used without departing from the scope of the invention.
These bindings can, in an advantageous form but which is not mandatory, operate according to a principle commonly known as "step'in", allowing automatic donning without the user having to actuate the hooking means manually after putting in place the shoe precisely in relation to the binding.

However, this variation of compressibility on the surface of the soleplate may be more progressive, especially when the soleplate is made by assembling beveled parts, or from different module materials, or by performing an injection of additional charges at level of the central area (8).

This area (16) above the heel is compressed when the forces are exerted vertically by the user. The inscription of the heel in the housing (19) thus prevents the heel from shifting too far laterally and thus keeps the foot in the axis of the shoe, despite the slight movements that allows the soft shoe.
In other variants not shown, the central area of lower compressibility can be interrupted between the front part and the rear part of the foot, so that the area of lower compressibility surrounding the plumb heel is independent of the portion of lower compressibility located at the front of the sole.
- ■ la possibilité d'obtenir un maintien ferme et un ancrage efficace de la semelle de la chaussure par rapport à la planche, tout en autorisant un mouvement de "rolling" et ce sans fragiliser ou compliquer la structure de la semelle rigide de la chaussure ;
- ■ la rigidité supplémentaire nécessaire pour faciliter les mouvements de "rolling" ne perturbe pas le déroulé du pied lors de la marche ;
- ■ the possibility of a firm support and effective anchoring of the sole of the shoe relative to the board, while allowing a movement of "rolling" and without weakening or complicating the structure of the rigid sole of the shoe;
- ■ the additional rigidity necessary to facilitate the movements of "rolling" does not disturb the unwinding of the foot when walking;
- ■ by changing slipper, it is possible to modify the compressibility properties facilitating the "rolling" according to the wishes of the user, it is also possible to use the same shoe by replacing the slipper by an unrelated neutral slipper with the invention.
Claims (7)
