Diameter of the forme cylinder a larger, better against the printing units encapsulated against noise control room between two inventively equipped double printing and increases the accessibility for mounting a device for automatically changing the printing plates and a device for washing the blanket.
In the arrangement of several blankets in the longitudinal direction of the transfer cylinder on the transfer cylinder which serve to attach the ends of the blankets slots or channels against each other in the circumferential direction of the transfer cylinder - in two rubber blankets preferably by 180 ° - offset arranged.
An inventively equipped double printing unit is using the known subsequent possibilities of folding and cutting in the longitudinal and transverse direction and the turning of the printing material or their partial webs of a rotary printing machine for the production in an advantageous gradation of two standing on the forme cylinder arranged print pages changeable Products in broadsheet format. It has twice the capacity on printed pages compared to a double printing unit with cylinder cylinders that can be fitted in the circumferential direction of one printing side (single-round) and two printing pages (single-width). For example, in the case of a product with eight printed pages in broadsheet format in one layer, twice the number of double printing units equipped with single-round and single-width form cylinders and an additional roll changer compared to the double printing unit according to the invention are required, depending on the desired color of the printed pages.
In a double printing unit equipped with double-round (two printing pages in the circumferential direction) and single-width cylinders, the production can only be changed in one step of four printed pages and the maximum printing page capacity is only possible in two layers when the page capacity is fully utilized. In the case of the double printing unit according to the invention, on the other hand, at maximum printing page capacity, the production can be changed in one position in a graduation of two printed pages. On the other hand, the double printing unit according to the invention is also able to realize the other production possibilities of a double printing unit equipped with double-round and single-width form cylinders, d. H. double production (two products) with the delivery via two folders or a product made of two layers with a folder. Based on the capacity of eight printed pages in the broadsheet format, a printing unit with double-round and single-width form cylinders is defined in terms of the number of printed pages in the two production forms, with twice the production always having the same number of printed pages in the two products and the product being collected in the case of collected production consists of two layers with the same number of printed pages in each layer. By contrast, variations in the number of printed pages in the two products with double production and in the number of printed pages in the two layers of a product are possible in the printing unit according to the invention. In the case of, for example, a product with eight printed pages in broadsheet format in one layer, twice the number of double printing units equipped with double-round and single-width form cylinders is required compared with the double printing unit according to the invention, depending on the desired color.
In a double printing unit equipped with double-round and double-width (four printing pages in the longitudinal direction) cylinders, the products are analogous to those in the case of unspecified production The printing unit according to the invention also in a gradation of two, with accumulated production, however, changed only in a gradation of four printed pages. The full capacity of the possible printed pages of this printing unit can only be realized in a product with two layers. In a desired product of eight printed pages in one layer, the number of technically less expensive printing units according to the invention compared to the equipped with double-round and double-width cylinders form printing units is the same.
On the four printing pages in broadsheet format can be fitted cylinders of the printing unit according to the invention for other typical production forms optionally also eight printed pages in tabloid format (two printed pages in the circumferential direction and four printed pages in the longitudinal direction) or sixteen standing printed pages in book format (two printed pages in the circumferential direction and eight Printed pages in the longitudinal direction) or sixteen horizontal printed pages in book format (four printed pages in the circumferential direction and in the longitudinal direction) can be arranged.
Due to the lightweight construction with high rigidity executable, against the circumferentially multiply, preferably twice larger transfer cylinder and thus operable at a high speed of, for example, 80,000 revolutions per hour operable cylinder with the double printing according to the invention is a conventional with each in broadsheet format two standing Printing pages in the circumferential direction and four standing pressure sides in the longitudinal direction equippable form cylinders equipped double printing unit corresponding production height achievable.
In addition to the preferred variant of a double printing unit according to the invention, which has been designed for eight printed pages, it is also possible to produce printing units which have cylinders in the longitudinal direction with more than four stationary printed pages in broadsheet format.
