Abstract
Description
- The invention relates to a combination of an interior element and a lamp fitting, which interior element comprises a part that when being used is placed against a wall or ceiling of a room, and which lamp fitting comprises a mounting piece with which the lamp fitting when being used is coupled to another object. By an interior element may be meant, for example, a cupboard the upper part of which has been placed against a ceiling, or a rail which has been fixed to a ceiling. The object to which the lamp fitting is coupled can be, for example, the ceiling of the room in which the cupboard or the rail is situated.
- Such a combination is generally known. With the known combination the lamp fitting is designed to be fastened to the ceiling of a room at a distance from the cupboard or the rail. This requires extra mounting operations and the result is that a flex is nearly always visible.
- An objective of the invention is to provide a combination of the type described in the preamble in which the lamp fitting is easier to place for use. To this end, the combination according to the invention is characterized in that when being used the mounting piece of the lamp fitting is situated between a wall or ceiling of a room and a part of the interior element. When placing the lamp fitting the mounting piece is put between the interior element and, for example, the ceiling of the room, after which it is clamped by the interior element between the ceiling and the interior element itself. No extra mounting operations are therefore necessary. Furthermore, in this way the flex can be concealed in the interior element.
- An embodiment of the combination according to the invention is characterized in that the mounting piece of the lamp fitting is at least partially flat and comprises two main sides, one of which when being used is situated against a wall or ceiling of a room, and that the lamp fitting, furthermore, comprises a lamp holder as well as an elongated connecting piece, one end of which is connected to the lamp holder and the other end of which is connected to the other main side of the mounting piece, and when being used the connecting piece extends from this side of the mounting piece. The connecting piece, for example, can be a tube or a flexible tube, through which the flex runs. Because the lamp fitting is pressed against a ceiling or wall, it is undesirable that parts of the lamp fitting extend from both main sides of the mounting piece.
- A further embodiment of the combination according to the invention is characterized in that the mounting piece of the lamp fitting is flat and is provided with a groove or a recess for leading a flex.
- The invention also relates to a lamp fitting for use in the combination according to the invention, which lamp fitting comprises a mounting piece with which when being used the lamp fitting is coupled to another object, as well as a lamp holder and an elongated connecting piece which is coupled to the lamp holder at one end and is connected to the mounting piece at the other end. With regard to the lamp fitting, the invention is characterized in that the mounting piece of the lamp fitting is flat and comprises two main sides and the connecting piece is connected to one of the main sides and extends solely from this side of the mounting piece.
- An embodiment ofthe lamp fitting according to the invention is characterized in that the mounting piece of the lamp fitting is flat and is provided with a groove or recess for leading a flex.
- The invention will be elucidated more fully below on the basis of drawings in which embodiments of the combination of an interior element and a lamp fitting according to the invention are shown. In these drawings:
- Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the combination, in which the interior element is a cupboard;
- Figure 2 shows a second embodiment of the combination, in which the interior element is a rail;
- Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the lamp fitting of the combination according to Figures1 and 2; and
- Figure 4 shows a side view of the lamp fitting.
-
- In Figure 1 a first embodiment of the
combination 1 of an interior element and a lamp fitting according to the invention is shown. In this drawing, the interior element is acupboard 3 of which the upper moulding 5 constitutes a part after having been placed against a ceiling 7 of a room. - The lamp fitting 9 has a
mounting piece 11 that is clamped between the ceiling 7 and the moulding 5 of thecupboard 3. Moreover, the lamp fitting 9 has alamp holder 13, in which there is alamp 15, as well as an elongated connectingpiece 17 that at one end is connected to thelamp holder 13 and at the other end is connected to themounting piece 11. - Furthermore, the
cupboard 3 has a lower moulding and two additional mouldings at the sides, one of which is shown. Thisadditional moulding 19 is situated against awall 21 of the room. There is a slidingdoor 23 by themouldings 5, 19. - The
mounting piece 11 of the lamp fitting 9 is a smooth, flat strip provided with arecess 25 through which aflex 27 runs. Thisflex 27 runs through the connectingpiece 17 to thelamp holder 13. - In Figure 2 a second embodiment of the
combination 31 of an interior element and a lamp fitting according to the invention is shown. In this drawing, the interior element is arail 33 which is fastened to aceiling 35 of a room. Thelamp fitting 9 is identical to that in the combination shown in Figure 1. Themounting piece 11 is now situated between theceiling 35 and the upper part of therail 33. - In Figure 3 the
lamp fitting 9 is shown in perspective. Themounting piece 11 has twomain sides main side 37 is situated against the ceiling of a room when being used. The connectingpiece 17 is connected to the othermain side 39 at one end. The connectingpiece 17 extends solely from this main side of themounting piece 11 and is a tube. Thelamp holder 13 is connected to the other end of the tube in such a way that it can rotate. - In Figure 4 the
lamp fitting 9 is shown in a side view. The lamp fitting 9 is situated against aceiling 41. Theflex 27 runs through the recess in themounting piece 11 as a result of which no special provisions are necessary for leading the flex to thelamp 15. - Although in the above the invention is explained on the basis of the drawings, it should be noted that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments shown in the drawings. The invention also extends to all embodiments deviating from the embodiments shown in the drawings within the context defined by the claims.
