Abstract

The compound woven fabric, has at least two layers (10,12) of separate warps (8) forming the upper (14) and lower (16) surfaces of the material. The wefts are woven at least into the layer of warps forming the upper side. To form the alternating bonding pattern (22) with the warps, at least one pair of support wefts (18,20) pass over the warps in a structured pattern. The compound woven fourdrinier material uses one weft (18) for a given number of warps, to give the passage over them in the weaving pattern, and the other weft (20) moves at least partially between the warp layers as a filament bridge (24) for a number of successive warps. The two wefts in each pair intersect at set points (26) so that the woven weft forms the bridge and back to the woven pattern. The alternating weaving pattern is formed by the two wefts in each pair covering each warp in the upper warp layer on the outer side. Where the paired wefts are not in the alternating weaving pattern, they are bonded with the warps of the lower warp layer. Additional bonding filaments (27) lock the two warp layers together. The support wefts are of different materials. The weaving pattern gives a weft bonding repeat structure at the upper side with eight, 10 or 12 warps.

Description

The invention relates to a composite fabric, in particular for a papermaking fabric With the features of the preamble of claim 1.

The demands of the paper-producing industry on screen covers in the form of paper machine screens have with the introduction of the so-called. Gapformer technology significantly increased within the leaf formation zone. On the one hand, the formation sieves now have better dimensional stability in transverse and longitudinal direction the tissue demands at high initial drainage with high retention and the other a low-marking screen surface structure. In addition, at the ever-increasing production speeds also an ever-increasing Service life expected for each paper machine screen.

The sum of these requests contains a lot of contradictory quality demands on the formation sieve. There are for many of the problem areas mentioned above over time as well Solutions have been shown.

AT 28 339 B discloses a composite fabric for a papermaker's fabric with an upper and a lower layer, so with two layers of thread. The aforementioned thread layers optionally consist of weft or warp threads, wherein one of the warp thread layer has an upper side and a different Kettfadenlage the underside of the fabric forms and wherein weft threads at least in the the top forming warp layer are woven. The wefts as assigned pairs trained over and under both in continuous Shape the individual warp threads of the two fabric layers. That to that known composite fabric gives a particularly strong composite, which increased Meets stability requirements; only the known solution is less flexible in use and therefore subject to high wear.

Furthermore, it is known from DE 32 29 307 A1, in a tightly filled Web weave three superimposed weft wire layers weave to to produce such a high bending strength in the transverse direction. The longitudinal direction remains flexible to the same extent as it is from the two-ply Seven is known and as these, for example, in the US PS'n 4,071,050, 4,041,989 and 4,112,982.

If you want to increase the stability of the fabric in the longitudinal direction, so a second Kettlage is to be integrated into the tissue. Classic prototypes the pertinent composite fabric are described in DE 29 17 694 A1 and in EP 0 141 791 A1, wherein in the former patent two complete single ply fabrics through a tying system and in the second document a single-ply fabric via binding threads is bound to a double-layered sieve.

Since additional binding threads the uniform surface structure of the tissues disturbing, one has the idea of the separate binding threads with the Leave composite fabrics and the binding threads in the surface structure the tissues involved. Examples of these are shown in the US patent. 5,152,326, in EP 0 069 101 A1 and in PCT / WO 99/06630. At this new type of composite fabrics is the classic binding thread through a Binding thread pair replaced. This pair of binding threads acts complementary in the tissue in the form that in the zones where the first of these two binding threads into the topsheet of the fabric in the form of a fiber-bearing thread, the second binding thread binds to the chain of the lower fabric. Both Threads therefore intersect inside the tissue structure and then interchange their role in terms of fiber support and connection of the fabric layers. The advantage that results here is the much more rigid fabric connection from top layer and underlay. One is at these tissues in the position, the diameter of the binding thread pair just as large as the Diameter of the other transverse threads in the upper fabric to choose.

Almost all composite fabrics of this kind are common regardless of whether the connection through the classic binding shot (DE 29 17 694 A1) or by a pair of binding threads (US-PS 5,152,326) comes about that the Top of the fabric preferably designed in the form of a plain weave is. This type of binding gets the lowest mark in the paper and has the highest fiber support index. In the plain weave Each weft wire turns around every warp wire. hereby Many uniform support points are created for the paper fiber. Seen from the standpoint of stability, however, is the plain weave the most unstable form of binding for a papermaker's screen. each Cranking of the shot around the chain can also be embossed as a kind. Hinge or hinge point are considered, so that just the canvas fabric in longitudinal and transverse direction the highest hinge and bending ability has. With the pertinent composite fabrics, the tissue structure becomes stabilized in that the lower fabric at least as a four-shaft, preferably as a fivestock and in rare cases also as a sexton tissue is trained. These stable bonds also result in the Connection with the plain weave on the top yet to one Overall network with acceptable performance and deployment data.

The ever-increasing production speeds in the paper machine industry and the associated increasing burdens on paper machine clothing however, require continuous improvement with regard to the stability requirements.

By the prior art in the form of US Pat. No. 5,881,764 and US Pat. No. 5,967,195 disclose generic papermaking fabrics, in these known solutions, the one-sided support weft formed thread-carrying bridge, a maximum of four warp threads of the Upper fabric supported and maximum along four warp threads of the lower fabric runs. Within a rapport of an eight- or ten-footed Bonding occurs the indicated support situation for the thread-carrying bridge only once on, and otherwise regularly only two or three warp threads supported the upper fabric and the thread-carrying bridge also runs only along two or three warp threads of the lower fabric, so far again support the thread-carrying bridge. Because then in the known Solution, the trained thread-carrying bridge only briefly Floating designed, this runs at least partially along an oblique orbital plane, what the binding Verhatten between the fabric layers in itself impaired. Accordingly, the support weft threads also change in the known solutions rapidly between the formation of filamentous bridge and the alternating enclosure pattern for that Upper fabric, so that in such a variety of binding sites of the respective support weft thread is reached in the lower fabric, in order to to achieve a secure connection between upper and lower tissue layer. Due to the large number of joints reached in this way is the Tissue connection relatively rigid, which is unfavorable in the Umtenkbereichen for the paper machine screen and beyond it comes between the tissue layers to frictions, what with a corresponding high wear for the composite fabric goes along.

Based on this prior art, the invention has the object to provide a composite fabric, which compared to the known Screening fabrics is improved, in particular increased stability requirements is fair and still very flexible and is long lasting can be used. This task solves a composite fabric having the features of claim 1 in his Entirety.

Characterized in that according to the characterizing part of claim 1 at least at a part of the thread-carrying bridges, each of the bridges fine pitch shotWhen watching straight and long afloat At least five warp threads of the upper fabric runs, as well as along at least five warp threads of the lower fabric and that another support These thread-carrying bridges over a stapler or underneath Binding thread 27 is reached, on the one hand reaches a high transverse stability and on the other hand at the same time the composite fabric still very flexible held. For high stability contributes to that at least partially again a support of the respective thread-carrying bridge over the underlying Stapling or binding thread is reached.

Particularly characteristic of the composite fabric according to the invention is the further course of the first weft thread of the pair described in the course of further rapport. This first weft thread, after crossing with the second weft thread, is guided in a straight manner below the warp threads of the upper fabric and thus forms a supporting weft bridge for these warp threads in the region of the repeat in which the second weft thread binds into these warp threads until it returns to its end crosses with the second weft thread and thus ties into the chain of the upper fabric. As already stated, the transverse stability of the upper fabric is markedly increased by this support or thread bridge. The second weft thread can also form this support bridge in the region of the first warp threads of the upper fabric by supporting it under the first warp threads into which the first weft thread of the described pair binds, lies.
A preferred embodiment of the composite fabric according to the invention is characterized in that the alternating encircling pattern produced by the respective weft yarn pair comprises each individual warp yarn of the warp yarn layer forming the upper side. In the case of the preferred embodiment, the advantageous plain weave is achieved in the region of the upper side, the instabilities of which are compensated by the thread-carrying bridges.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention Composite fabric is the surrounding pattern formed from the respective one Weft of a pair, chosen such that it every other warp the upper Kettfadenlage overreaches the outside. The pertinent Outside layers of the weft thread forming the surrounding pattern form respectively a fiber-bearing element in the surface structure of the screen, so that by the selected arrangement a plurality of fiber-carrying thread parts is available, resulting in pronounced low-marking Sieboberflächenstrukturen leads.

Another preferred embodiment of the composite fabric according to the invention is characterized in that the weft of the respective Weft pair; that does not form the alternating surrounding pattern, at predetermined points with warp threads of the lower warp thread a Binding is received. As a result, a connection of the lower fabric to the Upper tissue reached, without affecting the structure of the upper fabric itself would be negatively affected. Preferably, besides the Support weft threads still be provided more weft threads, which are the Kettfadenlagen connect with each other. Thus, optionally provided be that each Supportschußpaar also a binding function to the Unterkettfäden or that independently of this further weft layers the Take binding function with the lower warp threads of the underside. So can likewise in alternating sequence in series one behind the other every second, third, fourth, etc. weft such a connecting thread.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention Composite fabrics consist of support wefts of different Materials, in particular on the one hand from a polyester and the other made of a polyamide material. So it poses a general problem of Composite fabric, regardless of whether they are with classic binding threads or with binding pairs that are properly selected for material to hit the respective binding thread. In addition to the use of polyamide materials Polyester materials are also used. As polyamide However, absorbs water, the pertinent material loses through the Water absorption largely its flexural rigidity, so that manufacturers of Seven from the point of view of the transverse stability when using polyamide rather practice restraint. It turns out that especially the with the Supportbindefadenpaar manufactured sieves carry a problem in itself. Because every thread binds to these pairs and carries the fiber material has, in equal proportions, both threads must be from the same Be made of material. Different materials could be problems here and automatically lead to marking problems. Accordingly, remains in the choice of wire to polyamide in solutions in the state of Technology hardly an alternative, with the result, however, that the pertinent Material destabilizes the upper layer tissue.

Since in the inventive solution at least one weft thread of said Pair of the thread carrying bridge to the additional stiffening of the Surfaces can choose the material choices for this weft pair in the case where the second weft performs a binding function, be different. Thus, the first weft of this pair, the Wearing function, be chosen from a tough polyester quality, whereas the second weft provides an additional binding function exerts, can consist of a polyamide and thus a wear-resistant Ensures connection to the lower tissue.

In the sense of long-floating bonds, it is advantageous to use the alternating To provide Umfassungsmuster in a binding repeat, in the upper fabric consists of eight, ten or twelve warp threads.

In the following, the composite fabric according to the invention will be described with reference to FIGS Drawing explained in more detail.

The composite fabric shown in FIG. and latitude especially for creating a no closer illustrated paper machine screen. The composite fabric has two from individual warp threads 8 existing warp layers 10, 12, wherein in Looking at the figure, the upper warp thread layer 10 seen an upper side 14 and the underlying warp thread layer 12, the bottom 16 of the Tissue forms. Furthermore, two weft threads 18, 20 in the Top 14 forming warp thread layer 10 in the transverse direction to the warp threads. 8 woven. Forming an alternating enclosure pattern 22 for the warp threads 8 of the upper warp thread layer 10 are a pair of associated ones Weft threads 18, 20 so-called. Support weft threads woven in such a way that the a weft thread 18 as seen in the direction of the figure left beginning for a predeterminable number of warp threads 8, here the warp threads with the following numbers 1,2 and 3, which generates alternating encircling pattern 22, whereas the other weft 20 of this pair between the two Kettfadenlagen 10, 12 extending as a thread-carrying bridge 24 for the overlying Warp threads 8 in the context of the first enclosure pattern 22 serves. Subsequently, the two mentioned weft threads 18, 20 intersect this weft pair at the predetermined location 26 such that the first the surrounding pattern 22 forming weft thread 18 to the thread-carrying Bridge 24 becomes, whereas the first the thread-carrying bridge 24 forming weft 20 then the alternating Umfassungsmuster 22 generated for the subsequent warp threads 8. The alternating Surrounding pattern 22 forms for the individual warp threads 8 of the upper fabric 14 a kind of meandering bond.

The surrounding pattern 22 formed from the respective weft thread 18, 20 a pertinent pair of weft yarns is chosen so that it each second warp 8 of the upper warp thread layer 10 engages outwardly. This carries every second warp 8 in the alternating row, marked by the numbers 1,3, 5, 7, 9 etc. according to the drawing Section of the entire fabric, to the fiber support with and the pertinent Fiber support surface is due to the selected enclosure structure in Form of the surrounding pattern 22 significantly increased in terms of area, resulting in the later production of the paper material leads to low-mark structures.

A fabric according to the present invention is thus by characterized in that each weft thread 18, 20, which binds into the sieve surface 14, makes an amount for fiber support, i. each weft yarn 18, 20 is a support shot and thus a fiber-bearing element in the surface structure of the sieve. Each weft thread 18, 20 in the binding repeat of the top 14 wraps around when four consecutive warp threads. 8 (1,2,3,4) of the upper fabric 14, the warp threads (1,3) at least twice from the top. In a preferred embodiment of Top 14 means in the expression of the plain weave shown that, e.g. a weft thread 18 or 20 the first and third or the second and fourth warp 8 embraces seen from above. Thus, the respective weft thread 18 or 20 forms in the binding repeat of Top 14 per repeat at least two support points for the paper fibers (not shown) of the forming paper sheet. A second weft 20, which cooperates with the first weft thread 18 just described, Crosses this first weft thread 18 below the fourth or fifth warp thread 8 of the upper fabric 14 and binds to the fifth and seventh or about the sixth and eighth warp 8 of the upper fabric 14, provided that this is eight. At a tenfoot Expression, the second weft thread 20 would also be the ninth or wrap the tenth warp thread 8 of the upper fabric appliqué from above.

The required number of weft threads 18, 20, in the top 14 as Support thread pair 20 are introduced, resulting from the Querstabilitätsansprüchen to the sieve. In principle, however, it is possible to use the whole Shot entry for the top 14 in the form of the support thread pairs 18, 20th train.

As the Figure 1 further shows, the weft thread 18 or 20 of the respective Weft couple, that just not the alternating surrounding pattern 22 forms, at predetermined locations with warp threads 8 of the lower Kettfadenlage 12 make a bond, the pertinent bond is shown in the figure with dashed lines. Furthermore, it is too possible, every second or third, etc. weft insertion in the upper fabric 14th in the form of Supportschußfadenpaares 18, 20 ausprägen. The connection with the lower fabric layer 16 with their warp threads 8 takes place, as is the Representation in Figure 1 shows, over in this field usual binding or Heft threads 27, wherein in the respective fabric layer a pertinent thread is sufficient to secure connection of the lower fabric 16 to the To reach upper fabric 14. Due to the selected fiber or support support below the respective alternating bond pattern Accordingly, to known complicated systems of binding and stitching thread pairs be waived. Furthermore, as shown in FIG respective attachment to the lower fabric 16 at locations where the thread-carrying Bridge is formed in each case. Thus, at least can be so partially again a support of the thread bridge on the underlying running Achieve stapling or binding thread.

The further second embodiment according to the Fig.2ff corresponds to the first Embodiment according to the Fig.1, but now instead of a.

Eighty bonds a ten-state bond within the respective rapport is used.

Thus, the same reference numerals will be used for the second embodiment used, as they were used for the Fig.1 and so far The same applies to the extent described below for the embodiment described below.

As the embodiment according to FIG. 2 shows, the warp threads 8 are the Bottom 16 larger diameter dimensioned than the warp threads 8 of the Top 14. This results in the bottom 16 and the selected Diameter ratios even better support the top 14th

In addition to the already mentioned binding and stitching threads 27 but there also the possibility, as shown in particular Figs.2b and 3, at least the support weft 20 for a defined warp 8 of Untergewebes 16 in this weave such that even over a weft possible binding sites between the tissue layers feasible are.

As can be seen from Figure 4, the top 14 of the composite fabric relates, results from the above-described and selected arrangement at support wefts 18,20 a uniformly formed fabric structure image with a high degree of stability, good drainage performance and in particular, a low-marking screen surface structure reached.
