Description

The invention relates to a glare protection system for a helmet with an outer and an inner helmet shell, the one Has viewing opening, partially from a sun visor can be covered, with the sun visor on commercially available Helmets can be retrofitted and arranged so that the sun visor when the head is relaxed and vertical Helmet wearer above a horizontal line of sight and outside a vertical field of view is arranged, the Sun visor by tilting the head of the helmet wearer in the vertical field of view can be swiveled in.

Sturzhelme bzw. Crash helmets or protective helmets especially for motorcycle or Snowmobilers usually consist of an outer hard and an inner, deformable and shock-absorbing Helmet shell. Designs referred to as full face helmets a sight opening on the bottom is limited by a chin guard and that from one Rotating axes movable visor on both sides of the viewing opening can be closed from transparent material to the Eyes against the wind, dust, bouncing insects etc. to protect. So-called open face helmets are also known Viewing opening in a lower area in the vertical direction is open. These helmets are offered with and without a visor.

When the sun is low and backlighting is in the dark the accommodation of the human eye is unable to adapt quickly and effectively enough. As a result it causes painful glare to the eyes and premature fatigue of the driver or helmet wearer. While in glare effective glare protection can be achieved very quickly it is important in dark phases that as much as possible Light reaches the driver's eye.

A is a sun visor or a glare protection system known for a helmet that has a viewing opening has, which is covered by a visor. The sun visor is arranged in the upper area of the visor. It is cut out of a thin material coated with glue on one side and glued against the visor. The sun visor can be arranged so that when the helmet wearer is in a relaxed, approximately vertical head position, above a horizontal line of sight and outside a vertical field of view is arranged. The sun visor can by tilting the head of the helmet wearer into the vertical field of vision.

A disadvantage of the known sun visor is that the sun visor their dimensions matched to the respective visor must be what a universal use for that most commercial helmets difficult. After sticking the sun visor on the visor is interchangeable change of the sun visor no longer exists. By sticking the sun visor can also change the helmet properties change so that there are problems with the registration certificates who can give helmets.

From the G 83 33 346.0 U1 is a helmet with an outer and an inner helmet shell known, one by a visor closable viewing opening, which is partially from a sun visor can be covered. There is an anti-glare screen in a pocket-like recess on the helmet shell above the edge of the field of vision can be inserted. Depending on the The anti-glare screen can illuminate before or during the journey down into the field of vision become.

A disadvantage of the known glare protection is that in the Helmet an appropriate recess can be incorporated must and it is therefore not universally retrofittable. A appropriate storage bag and one for adjustment necessary adjustment device is also complex and relative expensive. Also an individual adjustment during the Drive to the driver's inattention with the corresponding danger to lead.

From DE 35 17 411 A1 a sun visor is known which in upper field of view of a protective helmet visor releasably attached is.

The disadvantage of this known glare protection is that, on the one hand only helmets with special protective helmet visors can be provided with the sun visor part and on the other hand, that in this part 20 to 70% of the area of the Visor screen to be covered. This means that as stated, for example, the visor is raised when driving in tunnels must be so that the visibility in a tunnel improve accordingly.

Furthermore, a helmet is known from EP 0 590 255 A1, which is an additional visor mounted on the outer helmet shell as Has sun visor. The additional visor is over one in one Longitudinal groove guided control element from a first, the viewing opening releasing position, in a second, the viewing opening partially covering position, movable.

A disadvantage of this known construction is that the driver for operating the control element or Swivel mechanism must remove at least one hand from the handlebar, and just at a time of full attention the driver needs. It is also difficult during a swivel mechanism while driving with a gloved hand to use. When darkness sets in a must such glare protection can be removed from the line of sight. Farther the disadvantage is that the driver is not fast enough can react to changing lighting conditions. Such a A helmet also requires a lot of construction and is therefore relatively expensive. It can also be done by the above Edges of the control element will cause wind noise on the helmet.

The object of the present invention is a sun visor to create that is easy to assemble and universal can be retrofitted or exchanged.

This object is inventively in connection with the Features of the preamble of claim 1 solved in that that the sun visor has at least one anti-glare module, the one with an upper one lying outside the viewing opening The area between the outer and inner helmet shell can be arranged is.

Due to its arrangement according to the invention, the anti-glare system be permanently installed without getting in the dark to make it noticeable. For the full use of the The driver does not have to have a hand to protect against glare take more of the handlebars or even interrupt the journey. Around to ensure optimal visibility at dusk or in the dark does not need to remove the anti-glare system or in any Way manually operated. When using the anti-glare system increases neither for the helmet wearer. driver the protective helmet weight is noticeable, yet additional ones Wind noise generated. The anti-glare system is to increase the anti-glare effect with glaring backlight with everyone known anti-glare devices at least in parts combined. An additional advantage of the invention is in that in bright light and high sun through the drop shadows cast by the anti-glare system is already so clearly relieved that z. B. wearing one Sunglasses in these cases are no longer necessary. The anti-glare system according to the invention does not require a high level construction effort and is relatively inexpensive to install. Simply by tilting your head forward the helmet wearer brings the sun visor into its vertical Field of view. The head is tilted reflectively.

The fact that the anti-glare system or the sun visor on can be retrofitted with different commercially available helmets is, the helmets can be designed inexpensively. The anti-glare system is both with full face helmets as well can be retrofitted at open face helmets. The retrofit can be done without constructive changes to the commercial helmets and can be carried out quickly and easily without tools. By arranging the one anti-glare module between the outer and inner helmet shell becomes a special pocket-like recess not required.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention is parallel a second anti-glare module for the first anti-glare module arranged, the first to the horizontal line of sight Glare protection module towering over.

By arranging two parallel anti-glare modules the helmet wearer has the anti-glare effect on his needs to adjust. By arranging a second anti-glare module can on the one hand the degree of tint or the anti-glare effect can be increased and secondly at different broad, d. H. superior glare protection modules a tiered Anti-glare effect can be achieved. By different The helmet wearer can tilt the head to reduce glare so regulate in two stages.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention can the sun visor parallel to the second anti-glare module have a third anti-glare module. So much for the third Glare protection module also surpasses the second glare protection module, the anti-glare effect can be carried out in three stages Adjust the appropriate head tilt of the helmet wearer. By the modular structure of the anti-glare system is one unique possibility to adapt the anti-glare system given to the individual needs of the driver.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention is the first anti-glare module on one of the helmet wearers facing away from the outside of the visor and the second anti-glare module on the inside of the helmet facing the helmet wearer Visor arranged.

The anti-glare modules can be arranged on the visor relatively easy and secure to attach to the helmet.

Almost all commercially available protective helmets without a sun visor can be achieved through the appropriate training of the anti-glare system easy and inexpensive to retrofit. It is at the same time an individual adaptation to the needs of the Helmet wearer possible.

According to a preferred embodiment, the third Anti-glare module, which of course also as the only one Anti-glare module can be used in the upper outside the area lying on the visor facing away from the inside two closures, which from one Brush suede material are formed. The closures point on the outside facing away from the anti-glare module one facing away from an upper side of the anti-glare module Pile position on. This allows the third anti-glare module with its upper area easily and without effort slide between outer and inner helmet shell. The inner one The helmet shell presses vertically on the glare protection module and on its pile layer of brush velor. A pull out of the third anti-glare module must necessarily against the The direction of the pile or the direction of the pile is done and requires a much higher force than when inserted. The closures made of brush velor act as reliable as Securing the position.

In principle, it is also possible to use several anti-glare modules to be arranged one above the other. It is also possible to use a glare protection module with increasing or graduated glare protection train.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention at least one anti-glare module has a coating with reflective properties.

The passive coating increases due to the reflective coating Safety for the helmet wearer by being different from others Road users are seen better. By the possibility the individual combination of the three anti-glare modules in terms of their position, color and graphic Design, the driver also achieves that his safety helmet becomes almost unmistakable.
