Description

The invention relates to a device for training movement sequences for ball hitting devices, in particular golf or baseball bats.
In sports in which ball hitting devices are used, such as golf, complex movements are regularly encountered when using these devices. The learning, the practice and the control of these movement processes cause problems especially for beginners in these sports, which due to the incorrect execution of the corresponding movements and an insufficient correction of these mistakes prevents rapid progress and a related sense of achievement. Even with players who practice such sports professionally, a corresponding control of movement sequences is regarded as an indispensable prerequisite for a good game.
So far, it has therefore been necessary for a player to check his movement sequence to involve another person who is observing and correcting him or to use complex video technology which allows him to subsequently observe the execution of his movements. Such measures, be it a coaching session or an assignment of video cameras, is expensive for the player and, if at all, not always available at the desired time. A further disadvantage here is that when the recorded image is viewed later, the respective player has no opportunity to correct errors in his movement directly and initially does not receive any feedback (bio-feedback) about his errors.
On the basis of this prior art, the object of the invention is to provide a player with a simple and inexpensive aid in order to be able to directly notice and correct errors in his movement sequence when hitting the ball, without the help of third parties or complex image recording technology to be instructed. A relevant object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1 in its entirety.
The fact that a monitoring device acts between the device and the user in accordance with the features of claim 1 enables the user to check whether this is being carried out correctly while the motion sequence is being carried out and to correct it if necessary. The user of the device receives a kind of biofeedback from the monitoring device with a view to maintaining the correct movement sequence desired.
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung wird einerseits am Schläger, vorzugs- weise im Bereich des Übergangs zwischen sonstigem Schlägerteil undThe device according to the invention is on the one hand on the racket, preferably in the area of the transition between the other racket part and
Racket grip, and on the other hand on the upper arm of the user, preferably in the area above the elbow joint, fixed for right-handers the left upper arm and for. Left-handers preferably use the right upper arm. While performing the actual The centrifugal forces occurring in the system of device, user and device are then used to drive the monitoring device, which in turn, depending on its respective system state, provides feedback to the user, who then provides the relevant feedback in such a way exploits that he gets knowledge of the correct sequence of movements with the ball hitting device.
In a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the monitoring device has at least two parts which are detachable from one another and which interact with one another by means of a force device in such a way that at least at the beginning and at the end of the movement sequence, the parts are inhibited or the connection is accelerated , The Kraftein direction thus counteracts the centrifugal force, both the loosening of the parts and the subsequent connection gives the user an acoustic signal to safely indicate at least the beginning and end of the movement. At least in the preparation of the teeing-off phase, in which the ball-hitting device hits the ball, the centrifugal forces are so great, if the movement sequence is correctly observed, that a visible and noticeable separation of the parts takes place after passing through the escapement, so that the user in the sense of a bio Feedback or feedback to give a control option for the correct movement of the desired movement. The monitoring device is effective in particular in the critical transition area between the actual stroke start phase and the later stroke phase and provides the required feedback for the desired correct movement sequence. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the force exerted by the force device permanently tries to hold the parts together and the magnitude of the force can be specified via an adjusting device. Thanks to the adjusting device, it is possible to adapt the device to the biophysical conditions of the respective user within predefinable limits, so that the device is suitable for children, adolescents and adults, for example. can be used even without major changes of a constructive nature.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the sections are in each of their relative positions to one another via a connecting device which, as part of the force device, exerts a restoring force on the sections. In this way it is ensured that in the area of the end phase or the so-called finish, in which the tee-off phase ends after the ball has been struck, the monitoring device returns to its original system state, in which the sections inhibit the passage of a subsequent one again Movement sequence lie together. The mentioned restoring force in the so-called finish area causes the two sections of the monitoring device to be brought together audibly in order to acoustically inform the user of the end of the swing movement. The device is then available for the user to use again.
The device shown in the figures is to be used in particular for golf clubs. However, it is also readily possible to use such devices for other types of ball hitting devices, for example for baseball and tennis rackets. The representations according to FIGS. 1 a to d show several snapshots when a ball-hitting movement is carried out, in which the device 10 is fixed with its two ends 12, 14 to a body part in the form of a user's upper arm 16 and to a racket 18. The movement sequence indicated for right-handed persons in the representations 1 a to d can of course also be carried out for a left-handed person with the corresponding necessary changes. Figure 1a shows the user with the club 18 after executing a swing-out phase with a backswing at the beginning of the so-called downswing, the pivot point of the club movement being in the shoulder area of the user. In the course of the downturn, the left arm stretches when the movement is correct. The onset of this movement is signaled to the user by the monitoring device 20 by an audible metallic movement of the two sections 22, 24 overcoming the magnetic force acting between them. The illustration according to FIG. 1 b shows the user with the racket 18 when a superimposed second rotary movement is used, when the user's hands are approximately at the waist level within the downswing movement. During this rotational movement, the racket 18 is moved around a pivot point in the user's wrists. The relevant sequence of movements corresponds to the representation according to FIG. 1 c. By connecting the sections 22,24 via a connecting device 26, which exerts a restoring force on the sections 22,24, these are, as shown in Fig.ld, after the user has hit the ball and the racket 18 in the sequence before Body swung through, brought together again in the so-called finish (final phase). The merging of the two sections 22, 24 is again associated with an audible metallic clack as an acoustic signal as soon as they come into contact with one another. The one described above Basically, the sequence of movements has a model-like character in order to clarify the basic relationships. It is clear that deviations from the movement sequence described are common and existent, particularly in the professional sports field, but this is irrelevant for use as a centrifugal force-controlled training device according to the invention.
Dies ermöglicht eine Anpassung der Vorrichtung an die Körpergegebenheiten des Benutzers.2 shows the device 10 attached to the golf club 18 (only partially shown) in its entirety. Starting from the first end 12 fixed on the upper arm of the user, it initially has an adhesive fastener tape 30 as the fixing device 28, to one end of which a rectangular eyelet 32 made of plastic material is attached. Through this, the free end 34 of the adhesive fastener tape 30 is inserted and returned after the upper arm has been gripped, so that the adhesive fastener means 38 attached to the outer circumference 36 of the adhesive fastener tape 30 come to lie one above the other in such a way that the free end 34 is fixed. Furthermore, the ends of a fabric tape 40 forming a loop and on a further fabric tape loop 42 a metal eyelet 44 are fastened to the outer circumference 36 of the adhesive fastener tape 30. This serves to adjust the length of the fabric band 40, which is pushed past a tongue-like cross strut 46 of the eyelet 44, which prevents the band 40 from rustling through. This enables the device to be adapted to the physical conditions of the user.
Next, the fabric tape 40 engages a U-shaped metal 48, which is attached to it and on which a snap hook 50 with a leaf spring lock 52 is rotatably attached. The snap hook 50 here passes through a metal ash 54, the two open ends 56 of which, at opposite points on the outer circumference, fix a metal truncated cone 58. are steady. After it has been slipped over the end piece 60 of the base body 62 of the section 22 of the monitoring device 20, this can be fixed by means of two metal split pins 64, which were driven through openings 66 lying opposite one another perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the cavity truncated cone 58. On the side of the base body 62, these split pins 64 slide in a circumferential groove 68, particularly seen in FIGS. 4 and 5, a circumferential projection 70 preventing the truncated cone 58 from being pulled off the base body 62.
Die beiden Teilstücke 22 und 24, deren Grundkörper 62 und 72 in denThe two sections 22 and 24, the base body 62 and 72 in the
Dank der Rippenstruktur ist eine die Handhabung erleichternde Gewichtsreduzierung für die konischen Teilstücke 22,24 erreicht.3 and 4 are shown, are by a connecting device 26, as part of a force device designated as a whole by 73, in the manner of an elastic cord 74, which is guided through cylindrical recesses 76 of the sections 22, 24 arranged along the longitudinal axis and by fixing means 78 is attached to each other. A metal ring 80 is provided in each case on a piece of the same cross section of the base bodies 62, 72 made of laminated plastic, the cross section of which tapers towards their outer ends. In the area of the tapering cross sections, the base bodies 62, 72 additionally have evenly spaced recesses 82 over the circumference, the bottoms 84 of which are each at the same distance from the longitudinal axes 86 of the sections, so that a rib structure is formed which opens into the massive end pieces 60 , Thanks to the rib structure, a weight reduction for the conical sections 22, 24 which facilitates handling is achieved.
For the section 22, the associated metal ring 80 has an end piece 88 with a tapered cross section on its side facing the base body 62, as can also be seen in FIG. An external thread 92 provided on the outer circumference 90 of this tapered cross section serves for Screw connection with an internal thread 96 provided in a cylindrical recess 94 in the base body 62. A pressure piece 100 embedded in the recesses 98 with spring loading engages with the hemispherical head 102 on the side facing the recess base 98 when the base body 62 is screwed to the associated metal ring 80 of the tapered cross section of the metal ring 80 provided conical recesses 104. These are arranged diametrically to the longitudinal axis 86 of the section by the same angular amount in each case.
In the metal ring 80 assigned to the section 24 and fastened to the base body 72, a ring magnet 106, as a further and main part of the force device 73, with the same cylinder axis is embedded, which exerts an attractive force on the further metal ring 80 assigned to the section 22. On the section 24, the metal ring 80 and the magnet 106 form a cylindrical plastic piece 108 with a conical end piece 110, which projects in the direction of the other section 22 from the base body 72 along the longitudinal section axis 86 and which together with a recess 112 represent a guide device 1 13, partially circumferentially. The part of the plastic piece 108 protruding beyond the metal ring 80 with the magnet 106 along the longitudinal axis 86 of the part engages when the parts 22 and 24 are brought together through the cylindrical recess 112 of the further metal ring 80 associated with the longitudinal axis 86 and runs along the longitudinal axis 86 of the part which cooperates as part of the force device 73 with the first metal ring 80 with ring magnet 106. With such a penetration, the annular surface 114 of the conical end piece 110 facing the section 22 touches the recess bottom 98 of the cylindrical recess 94 in the base body 62 before the external thread 92 of the metal ring 80 engages with the internal thread 96 of the base body 62 in such a way that they lie flat against one another with mutually facing ring surfaces 1 16, 18 of the metal ring 80 or the base body 62. In a further screwing-in process, in which the two threads 92, 96 are moved by rotating the base body 62 against the assigned metal ring 80, the second base body 72 is supported on the first base body 62 and the two sections 22, 24 are spaced apart from one another. Together with the pressure piece 100 protruding from the recess bottom 98 into the respectively assigned conical recess 104, a presettable setting of the magnetic force holding the two sections 22, 24 together is possible in the manner of a ratchet solution. With the ratchet solution it is achieved that a magnetic force that has been set does not inadvertently change during the operation of the device 10 and could thus impair the function of the device 10. Via the magnetic force setting device 120 described, the device 10 can be adapted to the particular user conditions, in particular with regard to the body sizes and body forces present in each case.
The end 14 of the section 24 facing the racket 18, as in the section 22, also has a frustoconical frustum 58, which is guided at an end piece 60 by means of metal splitters 64 in a circumferential groove 68 and has a metal ash 54 fixed thereon. This is penetrated by a steel ring 122, which also extends through circular openings 124, 126 on two bracket plates 128, 30 of a fixing bracket 1 32, as can be seen in the illustration in FIG. This fixing bracket 132 is used to fix the device 10 on the racket 18. For this purpose, the two bracket plates 128, 130 are placed on top of one another with their inner base surfaces 134 in such a way that a cylindrical screw piece 136, which projects vertically from the inner base surface 1 34 of the first bracket plate 128, winch through a further recess 1 38 of the second clamp plate 1 30, so that the two clamp plates 128, 30 can be releasably fixed to one another with the aid of a lock nut 140 with the circular openings 124, 126 lying one above the other. The fact that a side surface 142 of the clamp plate 130 bears against a projection 144 protruding beyond the side surface of the clamp plate 128 additionally prevents the two clamp plates 128, 130 from sliding off one another. On the sides of the clamp plates 128, 30 facing the racket 18, these are provided with isosceles protruding at an angle of 45 ° and thus respectively enclosing an angle of 90 °, so that when the clamp plates 128, 130 lie against one another, they form a cavity with a square base area include, which is intended for receiving a piece of the club 18. To avoid damage or canting on the racket 18, the angle pieces 146 also have rubber pads 150 covering their entire inner surfaces 148.
For the sake of clarity, the mode of operation of the device 10 from FIGS. 2 and 3 during the different phases of the movement sequence shown in FIGS. 1 to 1 d is explained in more detail. There, a device 10 according to the claims is fixed on the racket 18 and on the upper arm 16 of a right-handed user, adapted to the physical conditions of the user by means of the ratchet solution. In the ratchet solution, the sections 22, 24 are spaced apart from one another in adjustable steps by the adjusting device 120. Twisting the base body 62 of the section 22 against the metal ring 80 assigned to it causes a change in the distance between the metal rings 80. The change in the force acting between the sections 22, 24 associated therewith allows the user to adapt to his individual circumstances. In FIG. 1 a, this user is in the initial phase of the movement sequence and, after an outward movement with the racket 18, carries out a first type of lever movement of his arms around the left shoulder area, in the course of which the monitoring device 20 is not activated.
Weiter ver- deutlichen die Fig. 1 b und 1 c, daß das Trennen der Teilstücke 22,24 imIn Fig. 1 b the user reaches, with his hands approximately at waist level, in his movement sequence a teeing-off phase in which the first type of lever movement is overlaid by a second type, in the course of which the racket 18 is moved around the user's wrists , The centrifugal movement controls the monitoring device 20, which is now taut between the upper arm of the user and the racket 18. If the force acting on the monitoring device 20 exceeds the magnetic force which inhibits the loosening of the sections 22, 24, for example when the position shown in FIG. 1a changes to the position shown in FIG. 1b, the sections 22, 24 become clear audibly separated from each other. 1 c shows the user who is still in the teeing-off phase of the movement sequence with parts of the monitoring device 20 attached to the racket 18 which are now separated. Furthermore, FIGS. 1 b and 1 c illustrate that the separation of the parts 22, 24 in FIG
Field of view of the user takes place, the exercise of control is additionally improved on the basis of such an optical signal.
After hitting the ball, in the final phase of the movement, the racket 18 is first swung in front of the user's body and then, as can be seen from FIG. 1d, is guided behind the body on the left side. Due to the reduction in the centrifugal force that occurs during this, they are in shape regardless of their relative position with respect to one another via a connecting device 26 of an elastic line-shaped connecting element, in particular an elastic cord 74, sections 22, 24 which are connected to one another again approximated to one another. The guide device 1 13 ensures by engaging the plastic piece 108 with conical end piece 1 10 in the recess 1 12 that the two sections 22, 24 are brought together again in such a way that they are arranged in their original position along a common longitudinal axis. After the visible and audible moving together of the sections 22, 24, the device 10 is thus immediately available for the renewed execution of the movement sequence.
The movement sequence described above has a purely model character for a more detailed explanation of the invention. Depending on the individual circumstances, this model is also deviated from, without this affecting the functionality of the device according to the invention.
