Abstract

The reinforced floor, for a wheeled or tracked armored vehicle, has an intermediate floor (4) with height adjustment over the vehicle floor (1). It is fastened to the side walls (3) of the vehicle interior (21) at mounting points (2). The intermediate floor can be set in one position, where there is a gap (22) between it and the vehicle floor, and in a second setting where there is no gap between them. The up and down movements of the intermediate floor can be coupled to other functions e.g. opening/closing the trunk lid, and the like.

Description

The invention relates to the protection of persons in armored vehicles against the effect of the explosion of mines laid on or in the ground.

These vehicles have on the chassis usually a smooth underbody and the highest possible ground clearance between the subfloor and ground, which is ensured by appropriately trained wheel or track drives, so that the vehicle can move as freely as possible in the field.

The explosive pressure effect of the exploding below the vehicle mine acts on the relatively large vehicle or tub floor, deformed and damaged it and can cause significant damage in the vehicle. In addition to the permanent deformation of the vehicle floor occurs even greater elastic deformation. All parts fastened or parked on the floor of the vehicle are accelerated by the mine shock in such a way that they are severely damaged and fly like bullets in the interior. If the legs of the vehicle crew are parked on the ground, serious injuries to the crew are the result of a mine explosion. To prevent this usually footrests are installed, which are mechanically decoupled from the floor and mounted at a sufficient distance to the vehicle floor.

The disadvantages of this particular solution are:
  • The footrests must be individually adjusted to the individual for better ergonomics.
  • The set fixed position leads in the long term to physical complaints.
  • It feet are also placed on the vehicle floor with the known consequences of mine explosion.
  • Footrests can interfere very much in confined spaces or when getting in and out.

In the prior art, various proposals have been made for avoiding mine damage to the vehicle.

From DE 3119786 it is known to install flat armor elements for protection against mines on the underside of the vehicle.

In DE 19631715 the vehicle floor is equipped with a wedge-shaped deflector formed to the bottom, wherein the deflector can also be equipped with a gas generator for supporting from the inside and counteracting the explosion.

In DE 19653283 a space cell is suspended separately as a crew room in the vehicle housing elastically, so as to eliminate shock effects that act on the vehicle from the outside, with respect to the persons in the vehicle.

In other applications, deformation bodies are attached to the vehicle floor to reduce the pressure effect of mines on the vehicle.

In DE 19941928 damping elements are provided in an intermediate floor under the vehicle, which reduce the mine action and should absorb.

The object of the invention is the safe protection of the crew in the vehicle from mine shock effects and the improvement of known devices.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Further features emerge from the subclaims.

According to the invention an intermediate floor is installed in the vehicle, which is mounted at a certain distance from the vehicle floor. As a result, the transmission of the shock injected by the mine blast to the feet of the crew is prevented without the crew being immobilized Leg position is limited in the operational readiness. The intermediate floor is mechanically decoupled from the vehicle floor and fastened mainly to the sides of the vehicle interior. The intermediate floor is flexibly fixed and can be lowered to the floor of the vehicle. For the crew there is always a floor without disturbing feet.

The advantages of the inventive design of the vehicle floor are in particular in an automatic provision of a mine protection for the crew, unless the false floor is lowered. An adaptation to different ergonomic sizes of the crew corresponding to footrests omitted. In the driving position, i. not lowered, the crew can move their legs freely. In the lowered state, the intermediate floor lies flat on the vehicle floor, so that the internal height of the crew compartment is practically not reduced when getting out and sitting up against a vehicle without intermediate floor. The material of the false floor, for example, with plastic content such as PE or aramid, can be chosen so that at the same time a splinter protection effect is given by the false floor.

The setting of the false floor in the functional positions "lowered" or "not lowered" can also be coupled with other vehicle settings such as "closing the tailgate" or vehicle travel in order to automatically produce a non-lowered intermediate floor in protective position.

An interior 21 of an armored vehicle, which is shown in cross-section in FIG. 1, has a vehicle floor 1 or trough base and an intermediate floor 4 mounted at a distance 22 above it. The intermediate floor 4 is occasionally also articulated at the attachment points 2 on the side walls 3 attached. Between the intermediate bottom 4 and the housing roof 24 is the clear height 12. A vehicle operator 20 supports his feet 23 on the intermediate bottom 4.

In Figure 2, the intermediate bottom 4 is lowered, so that it rests largely on the vehicle floor 1 and a clear height 13 between the vehicle floor 1 and vehicle roof 24 is made, which is greater than the clear height 12 in Figure 1.

In Figure 3, the intermediate bottom 4 is shown with a net-like structure, which transmits a lighting 9 from below into the space above the false floor. Sensitive devices 11 or other devices 15 may be mounted on the protective floor 4 and are raised or lowered with him depending on the functional position of the soil. Likewise, footrests 8 can be attached to the intermediate floor 4 for operators. Due to the net-like structure of the false floor 4 or by means of openings 18 a ventilation and heating and cooling through the intermediate bottom 4 is possible therethrough.

In Figur 4 ist dargestellt, dass auch eine Verwendung des Schutzbodens an sonstigen Begrenzungsflächen 16 eines Fahrzeugs möglich ist und ebenso eine Verwendung an Begrenzungsflächen 19 eines außerhalb des eigentlichen Fahrzeuginnenraums 21 adaptierten Gehäuses 17 ausgebildet sein kann.FIG. 4 shows that it is also possible to use the protective floor on other boundary surfaces 16 of a vehicle, and that it can also be designed for use on boundary surfaces 19 of a housing 17 adapted outside the actual vehicle interior 21.

In combat, the intermediate floor 4 in the "up" or "cocked" position and forms the tread for the crew in a vehicle compartment. In this case, there is a distance 22 between the vehicle floor 1 and the intermediate bottom 4. The intermediate floor is divided functionally and made of suitable partially elastic material, so that he the two positions "down" or "relieved" and "up" or "stretched" depending on the desired Attitude can take. Preferably, the position above is linked to another function in the vehicle, so that no manual intervention is required to bring the false floor in the protective position or upwards. This function can eg be the "close hatch" or combat readiness. For the boarding or boarding in the vehicle compartment, the position intermediate floor is taken below, so that the crew has a greater room height 13 available. The feet 23 of the operator 20 stand on the intermediate bottom 4, so that they are protected in position Intermediate floor above against a mine action from below. Preferably, the intermediate floor is brought by a suitable motor drive not shown in the position above or below.
