Abstract

The invention relates to a wiper blade for cleaning panes, especially for cleaning the panes of a motor vehicle. The inventive wiper blade comprises an elongated, rubber-elastic wiper strip (20) supported by a multi-section carrier bracket system (12) with a main bracket (14). The main bracket is disposed in the center section of the carrier bracket system and is provided with a pin (26) oriented transversely to the longitudinal extension of the wiper blade (10). Said pin flexibly links the bracket with an oscillating wiper arm (28) that is biased towards the pane, resulting in an oscillation axis-proximal and an oscillation axis-distal wiper blade half. The wiper blade is further provided with spring elements that additionally bias the oscillation axis-distal half of the wiper blade, when put against the pane, under a spring force. In order to provide a configuration and an arrangement of the spring elements that is favorable with respect to the masses to be moved, the spring elements are configured as a leg spring (60), whose one leg (64) rests directly or indirectly on the hinge pin (26) and whose other leg (66) is fixed on the oscillation axis-proximal half of the main bracket (14).

Description

Wischblatt zum Reinigen von Scheiben insbesondere von KraftfahrzeugenWiper blade for cleaning windows, especially of motor vehicles
Stand der TechnikState of the art
Vorteile der ErfindungThe invention is based on a wiper blade according to the preamble of claim 1. In a known wiper blade of this type, the spring means are formed by a tension spring attached to the main bracket at one end, the other end of which is held on the outermost pendulum-axis-dependent claw bracket that holds the wiper strip. The tension spring is positioned and designed in such a way that it pulls the end of the wiper strip, which is distant from the pendulum axis, beyond the contact pressure emanating from the wiper arm towards the pane, and thus also loads the pane, especially when the vehicle spheres that are most spherically curved in the edge or corner regions are swept over. This should also allow these areas of the windshield, which are considered problem areas, to be properly cleaned. The disadvantage, however, is the relatively long and thus heavy tension spring, which considerably increases the weight of the wiper blade that is to be braked to the reciprocating reversal positions and accelerated therefrom. In this context, the arrangement of the tension spring on the region of the wiper blade remote from the pendulum axis is also disadvantageous. Advantages of the invention
In the wiper blade according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1, the leg spring is considerably compact and comparatively light, so that the loads acting on the drive unit of the wiper device during wiping operation are significantly reduced. Their arrangement in the area of the hinge pin also contributes to this, as a result of which the center of gravity of the wiper blade is shifted toward the pendulum axis.
If the main bracket has two spaced-apart cheeks, on which the ends of the hinge pin are held and between the cheeks on the hinge pin, a connection adapter matched to the free end of the wiper arm is supported in a pendulum manner, one leg being immersed in a recess in the adapter and the other leg is attached to one of the two cheeks, the leg spring is positioned essentially in a space between the cheeks and delimited by the wiper arm acting on the adapter and is therefore practically invisible.
Eine betriebssichere Abstützung der vorgespannten Schenkelfeder ist gewährleistet, wenn der Körper der Schenkelfeder in einer Auskehlung des Anschlußadapters liegt, die sich parallel zum Gelenkbolzen zwischen den beiden Wangen erstreckt .Reliable support of the prestressed leg spring is ensured if the body of the leg spring lies in a groove of the connection adapter which extends parallel to the hinge pin between the two cheeks.
The other leg of the leg spring expediently engages under the one cheek with a shoulder, so that the wiper blade half remote from the pendulum axis is loaded towards the window if the leg spring is appropriately preloaded. A reliable securing of the leg spring in its operating position is achieved by fixing the attachment of the other spring leg in a recess in the cheek of the main bow.
Further advantageous developments and refinements of the invention are specified in the following description of an exemplary embodiment shown in the associated drawing.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment
A wiper blade 10 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a support bracket system 12 which is known per se and which is constructed from a plurality of support brackets which are connected to one another in an articulated manner. It has a superordinate main bracket 14, at the ends of which subordinate claw brackets 16 are articulated. The main bracket 14 is thus located in the central section of the support bracket system. The claw brackets 16 grip with claws 18 an elongated, rubber-elastic wiper strip 20, which is applied with its wiper lip to the surface of a windshield 22 of a motor vehicle to be wiped. The main bracket 14 has two spaced-apart side cheeks 24, on each of which one end of a hinge pin 26 is held. The hinge pin is arranged in the middle section of the main bracket 14 and extends transversely to the longitudinal extent of the wiper blade 10 or the main bracket. The hinge pin 26 is used for the articulated connection of the wiper blade 10 to a wiper arm 28 driven in a pendulum manner about a pendulum axis 34 in the direction of the double arrow 35. The wiper arm 28 is located at the end of the wiper arm facing away from the wiper blade or from the hinge pin 26. Arrangements of this type are generally known to the person skilled in the art, for example from DΞ-OS 15 05 257. As FIG. 1 shows, the wiper blade 10 which is articulated to the wiper arm 28 thus has an end 30 near the pendulum axis and an end 32 remote from the pendulum axis.
Dieser Wischerarmhaken 36, 38, 40 bildet den wischerarmseitigen Teil einerAs can be seen from FIG. 3, the free end of the wiper arm 28 facing away from the pendulum axis 34 is curved like a hook (FIG. 2). It thus merges into a first hook leg 36, which is followed by a curved section 38, which in turn merges into a second hook leg 40. This wiper arm hook 36, 38, 40 forms the part of a wiper arm
The already mentioned hinge pin 26 belongs to the part of this connecting device on the wiper blade side Connection adapter 42 is snapped on. The adapter 42 made of an elastic plastic is shown in perspective in FIG. It has a block-like body 44 with a bearing bore 46 which is matched to the diameter of the hinge pin 26. The bearing bore itself is open at the edge via an insertion channel 48 to the underside 50 of the body 44. The width 42 of the adapter is so matched to the distance 54 (FIG. 4) between the two cheeks 24 of the main bracket 14 that it can be positioned between these cheeks with as little play as possible. For this purpose, the adapter 42 with its insertion channel 48 is placed on the hinge pin 26 and is snapped into the bearing bore with an elastic widening of the insertion channel 48 converging towards the bearing bore 46. The coordination between the diameter of the hinge pin 26 and the bearing bore 46 is such that the connection adapter 42 can swing around the longitudinal axis of the hinge pin with as little play as possible. On its upper side 56, the plastic adapter 42 is provided with a locking tooth 58 (FIG. 6) which engages in a recess in the wiper arm assigned to it when the wiper blade 10 is articulatedly connected to the wiper arm 28 in the manner shown in FIG. The two hook legs 36 and 40 rest on the top 56 and the bottom 50 of the adapter, respectively, and the hook legs 36 thus prevent opening of the insertion channel 48 and thus unintentional detachment of the wiper blade 10 from the wiper arm 28. The latching tooth 58 prevents in cooperation with the a recess between the wiper arm 28 and the wiper blade 10 associated with the recess in the wiper arm 28. FIGS. 3 and 5 show that a leg spring 60 is arranged on the side of the adapter 42 facing the pendulum axis 34. This leg spring has a helical compression spring-like spring body 62 having a plurality of turns. Each end turn merges into a spring leg 64 or 66 which overlaps each extend essentially tangentially from an end turn away from the spring body 62. By means of a targeted tensioning movement of the spring legs 64, 66, in which at least one of the two legs is pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the spring body 62, this leg spring, which can be referred to as a torsion spring, can also be preloaded. Under this pretension, one relatively short spring leg 64 is introduced into a bore 68 in the adapter 42, while the other, longer spring leg 66 with an attachment 70 (FIG. 4) arranged at its free end engages under one cheek 24 of the main bracket 14. It is essential that the shoulder 70 engages under a shoulder of the cheek 24 which faces the disk 22. This could also be formed by a part of the wall of a bore arranged in the cheek, into which the spring leg 66 engages with its attachment 70. The point of attack of the spring leg 66 or of the attachment 70 on the cheek 24 is - based on the hinge pin 26 - on the side of the main bracket 14 facing the pendulum axis end 30 of the wiper blade 14. For reliable support of the leg spring on the connection adapter 42, the spring body 62 is supported its entire length in a groove 72 of the adapter, which extends parallel to the hinge pin 26 or parallel to the bearing bore 46 over the entire width 52 of the adapter between the cheeks 24. In order to fix the leg spring 60 in its operating position shown in FIG. 3, the shoulder 70 of the spring leg 66 lies in an open-ended recess 74 on the underside of the cheek 24. The pretension of the leg spring is such that the spring leg 66 with its Approach 70 loads the main bracket 14 in the direction of arrow 76 (FIG. 3), so that the wiper blade 10 attempts to rotate in the direction of arrow 78 about the hinge axis of the bearing pin 26. It is clear that this is above that of the wiper arm 28 outgoing contact pressure (arrow 77), the half of the wiper blade remote from the pendulum axis, in particular the end 32 of the wiper blade remote from the pendulum axis, is exposed to a stronger contact pressure on the disk 22 than the half of the wiper blade 10 near the pendulum axis or the end 30 of the wiper blade 10 near the pendulum axis.
The wiper blade 10 according to the invention is thus provided with spring means which are designed as leg springs 60. One spring leg 60 is supported - since it dips into the recess 68 - indirectly in the exemplary embodiment from the adapter on the hinge pin 26, while the other leg 66 is fixed to the half of the main bracket 14 near the pendulum axis.
It is thus possible in a simple manner - for example by changing the leg spring preload - to adapt the additional load on the wiper blade half remote from the pendulum axis to the respective requirements, for example depending on the vehicle type.
