Definitions
- the present invention relates to a dosage form for a single portion of a laundry detergent.
- Liquid laundry detergents enjoy great popularity because they allow complete dissolution and even distribution in the wash liquor and thus complete development of the wash effect even at low wash temperatures.
- the liquid laundry detergents leave no residues of insoluble constituents, which are noticeable as a veil on dark-colored textiles, as is often the case with powdered laundry detergents.
- a disadvantage of liquid laundry detergents is their complicated dosage with the aid of a measuring cup or the like.
- the US 4,973,416 and the US 4,743,394 disclose dosage forms for a single portion of a liquid laundry detergent, which consists of a foil bag closed on all sides of a water-soluble film-forming material, such as polyvinyl alcohol, which is filled with a liquid laundry detergent formulation.
- a liquid laundry detergent which consists of a foil bag closed on all sides of a water-soluble film-forming material, such as polyvinyl alcohol, which is filled with a liquid laundry detergent formulation.
- the film thickness of the bag must not be less than a certain minimum thickness;
- unfavorable washing conditions such as short washes, low wash temperatures or unfavorable position of the washpad, therefore, there is sometimes an incomplete dissolution of the film bag during the washing process and the accumulation of residues in the washing machine.
- WO 00/06683 discloses detergent tablets comprising a wrapped core.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a dosage form for a single portion of liquid surfactant formulations, in particular liquid laundry detergent, which does not have the disadvantages described.
- this object is achieved by a dosage form for a single portion of a textile detergent containing a hollow body of a water-soluble shell material meltable in the range from 40 to 140 ° C., which contains from 30 to 70% by weight of at least one natural and / or synthetic surfactant to 50% by weight of at least one monohydric or polyhydric alcohol, 0 to 50% by weight of adjuvants, having a liquid core containing at least one detergent component.
- the dosage form according to the invention comprises a hollow body, that is a rigid shell, which is dimensionally stable under the weight of the dosage form and under the action of low forces, and a liquid core.
- the shell material contains at least one natural and / or synthetic surfactant and is meltable in the range of 40 to 140 ° C. "Meltable” does not necessarily mean that all constituents of the shell material melt in the specified temperature interval. It is sufficient if individual constituents melt in the specified temperature interval and the remaining constituents are soluble or dispersible in the melt formed, so that a castable mass is obtained on the heating of the material as a whole.
- the shell material is water-soluble, that is, upon contact with water at a temperature of typically 30 to 95 ° C over the duration of a machine wash cycle, it loses its integrity and releases the liquid core.
- the shell material need not be completely made of water-soluble components; it may also contain water-insoluble components, but these preferably comprise less than 15% by weight of the shell material.
- Suitable coating materials for the dosage form according to the invention are compositions which are customarily used for the production of toilet soaps, semi-syndets or syndets.
- Toilet soaps are predominantly, typically 60 to 80% by weight, of "soap", that is, alkali metal salts of fatty acids.
- Half syndets contain a mixture of soap and synthetic surfactants. Although the soap level may be less than the level of the synthetic surfactant, it still accounts for a significant portion of the half syndet.
- Syndets contain no or only a minor amount of soap.
- the washing-active substances are predominantly synthetic surfactants.
- Syndets generally contain other ingredients that have no detergent activity and confer structure to the syndet.
- the natural surfactants include, in particular, the "soaps", that is to say salts, in particular alkali metal salts, of fatty acids having in particular 12 to 24 carbon atoms.
- the "soaps” that is to say salts, in particular alkali metal salts, of fatty acids having in particular 12 to 24 carbon atoms.
- lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, arachidonic acid, behenic acid and mixtures thereof can be enumerated.
- Typical sources of this fatty acid are tallow, palm, and coconut fatty acids.
- Suitable synthetic surfactants are in particular anionic synthetic surfactants. These include C 8 -C 24 -alkyl sulfates, C 8 -C 24 -alkyl ether sulfates with 1 to 20 moles of ethylene, propylene and / or butylene oxide units, C 8 -C 24 -alkanesulfonates, C 8 -C 24 - ⁇ -olefinsulfonates, C 8 -C 24 -Hydroxyalkansulfonate, C 8 - C 24 alkylbenzene sulfonates, C 8 -C 24 -Alkylphenolpolyethersulfate, alkylglycerol, C 8 -C 24 alkyl phosphates, C 8 -C 24 -Acylisothionate, C 8 to C 24 - acyl taurates, C 8 -C 24 -Acylmethyltaurate, C 8 -C 24 alkyl succin
- the anionic surfactants are used in the form of their salts. Suitable cations in these salts are alkali metal ions such as sodium, potassium and lithium ions. Furthermore, ammonium salts, such as for example, hydroxyethylammonium, di (hydroxyethyl) ammonium and tri (hydroxyethyl) ammonium salts.
- the shell material preferably contains at least 30% by weight of anionic surfactants, i. H. Soaps and / or anionic synthetic surfactants, of which at least 25% by weight of anionic synthetic surfactants are particularly preferred.
- the shell material may also contain nonionic surfactants, as further explained below.
- the shell material may also contain amphoteric and zwitterionic surfactants. These include C 8 -C 24 -alkylbetaines, C 8 -C 24 -alkylsulfobetaines, C 8 -C 24 -alkylamidopropylbetaines, C 8 -C 24 -alkylimidazolinium derivatives and amine oxides.
- anionic, nonionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants which can be used are found in Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 3rd Edition, Vol. 22, pp. 347-387 , to which reference is made in full.
- the concomitant use of monohydric or polyhydric alcohols has an advantageous effect on the melting behavior of the shell material. If the shell material contains soaps, the addition of monohydric or polyhydric alcohols prevents the crystallization of the soaps; In this way, transparent hollow bodies can be produced, which allow the view of the liquid core, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing appearance of the dosage form according to the invention.
- Suitable monohydric alcohols are, for. Ethanol, n-propanol or iso-propanol; suitable polyhydric alcohols are, for. Sugar or sugar alcohols such as sucrose, mannitol, sorbitol; Glycerol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, diethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, polyalkylene glycols, in particular polyethylene glycols, having a molecular weight of from 1,500 to 10,000. In certain cases, co-use small amounts of polyethylene glycols having a molecular weight in the range of 50,000 to 500,000.
- auxiliaries which can be used in the shell material include, on the one hand, those which influence the processability, mechanical properties, stability or appearance of the shell material (hereinafter referred to as “structural auxiliaries”) and those which, when the administration form according to the invention is used Effectively influence washing effect (hereinafter referred to as “washing aid").
- the structural auxiliaries can be electrolytes, in particular inorganic salts such as sodium chloride or sodium sulfate, which are generally used in an amount of 0 to 5 wt .-%. Preservatives, antioxidants and colorants are other optional structural aids and, if used, are typically used in an amount of from 0.1 to 2% by weight. Further possible structural auxiliaries are water-insoluble substances which can be melted in the range from 40 to 140 ° C., such as fatty acids or fatty alcohols. By their co-use, the dissolution rate of the enveloping material can be controlled.

Description
B. Natrium-p-Nonanoyioxybenzolsulfonate; N-diacylierte Amine, z. B. N,N,N,N-Tetraacetylmethylendiamin; Anthranilderivate, z. B. 2-Methylanthranil; Triacylcyanurate, z. B. Triacetylcyanurat; Oximester, z.
-
Ethoxilierter C13/C15-Oxoalkohol (7 EO-Einheiten, Lutensol® AO7, Fa.
