Definitions
- the invention relates to a clasp of the type used in watchmaking, leather goods or jewelry, to allow the opening and closure of a watch strap, handbag or necklace.
- the invention relates more particularly to a clasp comprising a stretcher and a folding arm or a removable button.
- a folding clasp can be found in watchmaking, for example, while a removable button clasp can be found, for example, in leather goods.
- the clasp is of the particular type to two pushers moving in opposite directions with respect to the stretcher against the compression of a return member, to lock or unlock the folding arm or the button relative to the stretcher when closing or closing respectively opening the clasp.
- a clasp of this particular type is known from the patent application European EP-A-586 156.
- the folding arm of the clasp is mobile relative to the stretcher about an axis parallel to the direction of travel relative of the two pushers.
- the folding arm is provided with hooks which come in taken with hooks secured to both pushers.
- the hooks grip allow the folding arm to be locked relative to the stretcher when clasp closure.
- the two pushers are moved in the opposite direction with respect to the stretcher against the compression of a reminder to release the hooks of the folding arm from their grip with the hooks integral with the pushers.
- the pushers move in translation and in direction opposite to the stretcher following walls of the stretcher defining a movement section of the pushers.
- each pusher moves with a certain clearance with respect to the displacement section formed by the walls of the stretcher.
- the addition of the displacement games of both pushers can lead to incomplete grip of the hooks of the folding arm relative to the hooks of one or the other pusher.
- Such a risk of inadvertent opening must absolutely be reduced to minimum, and the reduction of risk is all the more important as the clasp is used in a watch strap or in a necklace of higher value.
- One of the aims of the invention is therefore to design a clasp which has great locking security.
- the invention pursues another object in that the high-security locking clasp must be capable of being manufactured by economical manufacturing processes and in particular by a metal injection molding, known as the MIM process.
- the invention relates to a clasp comprising a stretcher, a folding arm or a removable button and two pushers movable in direction opposite to the stretcher against the compression of a return member, to lock or unlock the folding arm or button relative to the stretcher when closing or opening the clasp respectively, characterized in that a guide member is housed in a first and a second guide housings of both pushers to maintain aligned the two pushers during their relative movement relative to the stretcher.
- the two clasp pushers according to the invention are kept aligned by the guidance during their relative displacement relative to the stretcher.
- the alignment of two pushers minimize the movement clearance of a pushbutton relative to to the other and thus contributes to a better grip of the hooks integral with the pushers with hooks on the folding arm or removable button.
- the result increased locking security of the folding arm or button removable from the stretcher.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention consists in housing the return member in the guide housing of either push button. In this case, it is advantageous to interpose the guide member in abutment between two return members. If these are identical, the position of the guide member in the guide housing of one or the other plunger is substantially the same for one and for the other plungers during their relative displacement against the compression of the two return members.
- the invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a clasp pusher.
- Figure 1 is a general view of a clasp according to the invention in the open position.
- Figure 2 is a top view and partially in section of a clasp according to a first embodiment of the invention, in a position of unlocking of the folding arms.
- Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the clasp illustrated by the figure 1.
- Figure 4 is a view along section AA of the clasp illustrated in the figure 1.
- FIG. 5 is a view of the clasp illustrated in FIG. 1, in a locking position of the folding arms.
- Figure 6 is a view along section BB of the clasp illustrated in Figure 4.
- Figure 7 is a top view and partial section of a clasp according to a second embodiment of the invention.
- a clasp comprises, with reference to Figure 1, a stretcher 3 and a first and second folding arms 51 articulated with respect to the stretcher around an axis of rotation 13.
- the clasp is illustrated in an open position and the arrow F indicates the direction of pivoting of the folding arms relative to the stretcher when closing the clasp.
- the clasp comprises, with reference to Figures 2 to 6, a first and a second push buttons 1A and 1B movable in opposite directions relative to each other relative to stretcher 3.
- the two pushers 1A and 1B move relative to the stretcher 3 in a direction parallel to the articulation axes 13 of the arms leaflets 51.
- Hooks 15 integral with the folding arms 51 engage with hooks 17 integral with one and the other pushers.
- the hooks socket allows each folding arm 51 to be locked relative to the stretcher 3 when closing the clasp.
- the two push buttons 1A and 1B are moved in the opposite direction with respect to the stretcher 3 against the compression of a return member 61 to release the hooks 15 from the arms leaflets of their grip with the hooks 17 integral with the pushers.
- a pin of guide 91 is housed in first and second guide housings 11A and 11B respectively of the first and second pushers 1A and 1B.
- the pin guide 91 is interposed in abutment between two helical springs 61 housed for one in the first guide housing 11A of the first pusher 1A and for the other, in the second guide housing 11B of the second pusher 1B.
- the guide pin 91 makes it possible to maintain aligned the two pushers 1A and 1B during their relative displacement relative to the stretcher 3, against the compression of the two coil springs 61.
- the two pushers 1A and 1B are kept aligned by the guide pin 91 during their relative displacement relative to the stretcher 3.
- the alignment of the two pushers 1A and 1B minimizes the play of displacement of a pusher 1A relative to the other 1B and thus contributes to a better catch of the hooks 17 secured to the pushers with the hooks 15 integral with the folding arms 51. This results in an increase in the safety of locking of the folding arms 51 relative to the stretcher.
- the guide slide 91 described in the previous embodiment is replaced by a hollow cylindrical tube 92 housed in the first and second guide housings 11A and 11B of one and the other pushers 1A and 1B.
- a helical spring 61 is housed inside the hollow cylindrical tube 92 and interposed between two pins 19A and 19B movable relative to the hollow cylindrical tube 92.
- the hollow cylindrical tube 92 keeps the two pushers 1A and 1B during their relative displacement relative to the stretcher 3, against compression of the coil spring 61.
- the first and second embodiments illustrated by Figures 2 to 7 both disclose a clasp with two parallel guide members one to the other and respectively housed in two parallel guide housings formed in each of the two pushers. It is understood that in this embodiment to two guide members, the two guide housings of a pusher have the same spacing in both pushers.
- the guide pin extends inside the guide housing of each of the two pushers, over a length L which is sufficient relative to the diameter D of the pin, for example greater than three times the diameter D of the pin or hollow cylindrical guide tube. This report allows alignment optimum of the two pushers relative to each other during their displacement relative to the stretcher.
- a stop nail retains the pushers 1A and 1B inside the stretcher 3 when the folding arms 51 are unlocked in the open position of the clasp.
- folding arms, the stretcher and the two pushers by different processes and for example by machining, stamping, or molding.
- These parts are for example made of silver, brass, metals precious or any other non-metallic material.
- the arms leaflets 51, the stretcher 3 and the pushers 1A and 1B are preferably manufactured by a metal injection molding process.
- Guide pins 91 or the hollow cylindrical guide tubes 92 are made of stainless steel, as is the coil springs 61.
- the pin guide 91 or the hollow cylindrical guide tube 92 is movable relative to each of the two pushers 1A and 1B. We prevent the risk of seizure if necessary by lubricating the interface between the pin or the hollow cylindrical guide tube and the guide housing for each of the two pushers.
- guide pins for different sections and for example square or oval.
- organs of reminder are for example pads made of elastomeric material or springs tires.
- a clasp according to the invention for which the return member is housed in the guide housing of one or other of the two pushers adds to the aesthetics since the return member is no longer visible from outside. It is no longer useful to add a piece of material between the two arms leaflets when in the closed position of the clasp to conceal the recall organ.
