Description

The present invention relates to a three-pole contact block, in particular with sudden rupture and positive opening, usable in a switch sensitive to a thrust movement, particularly a position switch, pushbutton or the like.

Such blocks usually comprise a housing which houses fixed contact parts terminated at one end by connection pads and carrying at another end a fixed contact, and a moving element provided with several contact bridges so as to arrange with the fixed contacts at least one aperture pole and a closing pole. The moving element is urged on the one hand by a pusher, on the other hand by a spring system, the whole being arranged to produce a positive opening and a sudden opening and closing.

It is known to implement in a multipole switch a contact block with a push rod which solicits a contact carrier with several superimposed bridges, the bridges being mounted reversibly to provide a "normally open" (NO) or "normally closed "(NC) at the corresponding pole.

It is in certain cases desirable to give one of the poles of a three-pole switch a NO or NC function without having to modify the contact carrier.

Le document US 6 114 639 décrit un dispositif selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The document US 6,114,639 describes a device according to the preamble of claim 1.

The object of the invention is to enable a multipolar contact block to operate with at least one switchable pole from the normally open state to the normally closed state or vice versa, without modifying the arrangement of the contact carrier.

According to the invention, the connection pads are arranged in at least three separate connection planes, and the mobile equipment has at least three bridges. contact arranged to cooperate with fixed contacts in two transverse contact planes and to move in two frontal planes; two contact bridges which are located in the first frontal plane cooperate with fixed pieces of contact coming out on two connection planes, and the third contact bridge which is situated in the second frontal plane cooperates with the fixed pieces of contact coming out on the third connection plan. The third connection plane is in particular located in the middle position between the first two connection planes.

The contact block is preferably three-pole and the moving element then has four symmetrically symmetrical contact bridges, the fourth contact bridge being located in the second frontal plane and not cooperating with the fixed contact parts.

The moving element may replace the fourth contact bridge with an elastic or movable support piece situated in the second frontal plane opposite the third contact bridge situated in this plane, to move together with the contact bridge. located in the same transverse plane.

It is advantageous for the contact bridges situated at different levels in the same frontal plane to be urged by a single compression spring tending to separate them from one another.

In a simplified assembly embodiment, the mobile assembly is mounted in the housing by introduction via an open rear face of the housing and a bottom is assembled, in particular snapped, to the housing to cover the rear face. The bottom may then have tabs or similar holding elements which bear against the fixed contact parts leading to the rear plane to help maintain them very simply. An insulation cover of the terminals can be attached, in particular snapped, on the front face of the housing.

The three-pole contact block shown in the figures comprises a housing 10 of insulating material which houses six conductive parts 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 carrying fixed contacts and a moving element 17 with positive opening and sudden opening movements. and closing, the crew being guided in this housing and provided with movable contacts that cooperate with the fixed contacts.

The housing 10 is quadrangular in shape and has three groups of two terminals 21,22,23,24,25,26 forwards distributed over three respective connection planes P1, P2, P3. Each terminal 21-26 comprises a cable clamping screw 27 (or a resilient clamping piece) cooperating with a connection pad 28 of the corresponding conductive part 11-16. The conductive parts 11,12 and 15,16 associated with the terminals 21,22 and 25,26 located in the end connection planes P1, P3 are preferably identical to each other; the conductive parts 13,14 associated with the middle terminals 23,24 of the median plane P2 differ from the other conductive parts and are preferably identical to each other (see figure 6 ).

At their end opposite the connection pad 28, the parts 11-16 terminate in a stationary contact 29 in the form of a pellet; the contact pads 29 of the parts 11, 12, 15, 16 are situated in a rear front plane PR (parallel to the bottom and to the front face of the block and perpendicular to the planes P1-P3) and those of the parts 13, 14 are located in a frontal plane before PF parallel to PR. In height, the pellets 29 of the parts 11, 12 are located in an intermediate plane P4 between P1 and P2 and those of the parts 15, 16 are located in an intermediate plane P5 between P2 and P3; the chips of the parts 13, 14 are located in the plane P4 or P5 according to the configuration chosen for the block, as will be explained later.

The housing 10 of the block provides a bracket 18, for example to be housed in a position switch body. The housing 10 is covered at the front by a snap-on cover 30 which provides a protective and protective function of the terminal screws. The cover 30 has a wall 31 forming the front face of the block while clearing access to the screws, as well as inter-terminal isolation walls 32 and latching lateral notches on the front edges of the block. The housing 10 has at the rear an open face 33 which allows the introduction of the contact block and which is closed by a snap-in bottom 34. The bottom 34 has a flat wall provided, inwardly of the block, with tabs 35. which maintain the rear fixed contact parts 11,12,13,14. Instead of legs, one can provide shoulders or other similar forms of maintenance. The bottom 34 also includes snap tabs 36 on the housing.

The moving element 17 is capable of generating a positive opening of the contacts. It comprises a pusher 40 displaceable in a direction Z parallel to the planes PF, PR and biased by a return spring 41, as well as a contact holder 42 with sudden movement also movable along Z. The contact carrier 42 is mounted movably in back and forth on the pusher and is biased by a return piece 43. This piece of reference translates, by means of movement reversal levers, a downward movement of the pusher moving up the contact carrier. The rising movement of the contact carrier 42 is made abrupt with the aid of two lateral springs 44 with neutral passage. The mechanism described is known and is not the subject of the invention.

Four contact bridges 45,46,47,48 are arranged symmetrically and balanced on or in the contact holder 42 so as to be able to move relative thereto along Z. The symmetry planes of the bridges are merged with PF and PR frontal plans. The bridges 45,46 are located in the plane PR and the bridges 47,48 in the plane PF; the bridges 45,47 on the one hand, and the bridges 46,48 on the other hand, are situated in two distinct planes parallel to P1-P3, so as to be able to cooperate respectively with the parts 11,12 (bridge 45), 15.16 (bridge 46), 13.14 (bridge 47 or bridge 48 according to the arrangement adopted for parts 13, 14). Each bridge is provided in its middle with an overmolded insulating part 49 which facilitates its guidance in the contact holder. Between the bridges 45,46 on the one hand, and the bridges 47,48 on the other hand, a compression spring 50 is provided which is in direct support on the bridges and tends to separate them from each other for ensure play clearance and good contact pressure, mainly during tilting. As a variant, it is possible to provide instead of one of the front bridges 47, 48 an elastic or movable support piece 51 (see FIG. figure 4 ), for example an elastic blade, capable of simulating, when the moving element 17 is actuated, the crushing movement of the bridge to which it is substituted and to follow the movement of the rear axle situated at the same level.

The bridges 45, 47 form, with the corresponding fixed contacts, normally open poles (NO) and the bridges 46, 48 form, with the corresponding fixed contacts, normally closed poles (NC).

The described block is assembled as follows. The fixed contact parts are arranged in the housing 10, then the moving element is inserted from the rear into the housing and the bottom 34 is snapped onto the housing. The two possibilities of configuration of the block are illustrated on the Figures 3 and 4 . In the version of the figure 3 the fixed contact pieces 13, 14 are arranged with their contact pads in the plane P4 to form a pole NO. In the version of the figure 4 , the parts 13,14 are arranged with their contact pads in the plane P5 to form a pole NC. In addition, we have replaced in the version of the figure 4 the bridge 47 by a resilient piece of support for the spring 50. The parts 13,14 of the NO version can be identical to the parts 13,14 of the NC version, so that we go from one version to the next. other simply by flipping, or they may be different. Likewise, the housing 10 specific to the NO-NO-NC version of the contact block may be identical to the housing specific to the NO-NC-NC version of the block or be different.
