Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a connector consisting of a socket and a plug part, which is provided, in the socket to be plugged in. The invention particularly relates to a so-called backplane connector, in which one of the two parts of the connector on a fixed in a housing of an electrical Device attached backplane circuit board, the so-called carrier card, is attached and the other part of the connector on one pluggable circuit board, the so-called plug-in card, is attached. At the Insert the plug-in card into the housing Socket or the plug part with the contacts of the other part in Intervention so that the plug-in card is connected to the carrier card.
The problem here is that the plug-in card in the housing is not as precise can be performed that they are inserted without tolerances can. This means that the contact pins and contact sockets of the Connector the moment they are inserted the plug-in card meet, laterally offset against each other and / or can have an angular misalignment relative to one another, their longitudinal axes are therefore not in alignment. This misalignment can when inserting the plug part into the socket largely corrected; however, this correction affects the Contacts of the socket and the plug part are comparatively high Forces. There is a risk of deformation and stress the solder joints of the contacts comes. This is particularly critical in SMT connections, which, in contrast to push-through contacts, are not form-fitting Have a connection to the circuit board.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a connector create where the contacts while threading the plug-in card the housing and thus the plug part in the socket is not high mechanical loads, if a malposition between plug part and socket.
To solve this problem is a socket with an insulating Socket housing provided, in which at least one socket contact is included, characterized in that the socket contact consists of a holding part and a socket, the socket is pivotally mounted on the holding part by a limited angle. The complementary connector part has an insulating connector housing on, in which at least one plug contact is accommodated, for this is intended to engage in the socket of the complementary socket. Since the socket is pivotally mounted on the holding part, can misalignment of the socket and plug part relative to each other are automatically balanced. This prevents the contacts high mechanical loads are exerted.
According to a preferred first embodiment it is provided that the holding part of the socket has a head section, one attached to it subsequent ring groove and one adjoining the ring groove Has collar and the socket has a plurality of spring tabs which in the Intervene in the ring groove. The spring tabs preferably have on their free end hooks that engage in the ring groove. This enables the Socket can be pivoted on the holding part in a very simple manner to install. The socket is with its spring tabs over the Head section pushed onto the holding part, the Spring tabs, when sliding over the head section, elastic expand and then snap into the ring groove. There is the Socket from the hooks on the shoulder between the ring groove and the head section, held reliably while the socket can be pivoted at the same time by a certain angle. This angle is determined by the difference between the width of the Hook and the width of the ring groove between the collar and the Header. The greater this difference, the further the socket can go be pivoted.
The socket preferably has a barrel shape and is on her the hook opposite end with several contact tabs Mistake. The contact tabs expand elastically when the Plug contact is inserted into the socket. The socket with the spring tabs and the contact tabs can be manufactured in a simple manner be that a flat sheet metal stamped part first with cuts is provided so that the contact tabs and the spring tabs are formed be, and then in the desired barrel shape is rolled up.
According to the preferred first embodiment of the invention, closes to the collar of the holding part of the socket contact Anchoring groove followed by an anchoring section in the Receptacle housing is included, with one in the anchoring groove Ring spring is included, the edge facing the collar is bevelled, and being the diameter of the federal government and the head of the holding part are smaller than the diameter of the Anchoring section. This design enables a special easy assembly and attachment of the holding part in the socket housing. First the ring spring is pushed onto the anchoring groove. Then the holding part from the back of the socket housing into one Anchoring opening inserted in the socket housing, the Ring spring elastic when passing through the anchoring opening is compressed and then back to its original shape occupies. In this way, a snap lock is formed, which Insert the holding part into the socket housing, but not that Allows pulling out in the opposite direction. The Plug contacts of the plug housing are in the same way added.
According to a preferred second embodiment it is provided that the holding part has a holding opening and the socket at least one Has hook which engages in the holding opening. It is preferred provided that the holding part at least in the region of the holding opening has a rectangular cross section and the socket with two Spring tabs are provided, which are opposite and parallel to each other two side surfaces of the holding part facing away from one another. The The hook can be hooked through a sheet metal tab bent from the spring tab be educated. The socket is reliable on the by means of the hook Holding part held while the two abut the holding part Spring tabs allow for the bushing in each by their elasticity Swivel direction on the holding part.
It is preferably provided that the socket with two contact tabs is provided, which are opposite each other in parallel, and that the Spring tabs face each other along a first direction, which is at right angles to a second direction in which the contact tabs face each other. The different orientation of the Contact tabs and the spring tabs ensure that at each Deflection of the socket from its normal position Restoring force is generated in the normal position.
It is preferably provided that the bushing has a bent sheet metal part is a closed center section. Such a bent sheet metal part can with little effort by punching and bending a suitable one Metal sheet are made.
Preferably, both the holding parts of the socket and the Plug contacts of the plug part each have an SMT connection on it enables them in a process-technically favorable manner on a circuit board to be attached by a surface mounting technique.

The
schwenkbar. Dieser Winkelbereich wird durch die Größe der
Kontaktkammern begrenzt.The
The
dazu, daß sich die Fehlausrichtung beim weiteren Einschieben verringert;
In Figures 1 and 2, the socket and the plug part are closed

Für die von der ersten Ausführungsform bekannten Bauteile werden dieselben Bezugszeichen verwendet, und es wird auf die obigen Erläuterungen verwiesen.FIGS. 6 to 11 show a socket and a plug part according to a second embodiment of the invention. For those of the Components known from the first embodiment are the same Reference numerals are used and reference is made to the above explanations directed.
The difference between the first and the second embodiment
Generally speaking, the holding
As can be seen in Figures 6 and 7, the holding
On the holding
The
ausgebildet.Two of the
The
Linienberührung am Steckabschnitt an.The
As can be seen in Figures 6 and 7, it allows the articulated
Attachment of the socket so that it is in a possible
Misalignment between the
beiden anderen Rändern in die entgegengesetzte Richtung.FIGS. 12 to 14 show a
This design essentially offers two advantages: First, it has
